The Calm Before The Storm

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUdge nuggets! Hello everyone, I know you've probably had enough of me holding things off for long periods of time. So instead of writing ten retyped chapters and posting a new chapter, I'm just going to focus entirely on the old chapters to retype until I catch up to the current ones. I know it may be bad for some of you because you're thinking, "But it's finally time for the villain attack!", but sorry. I know I have to choose one thing over the other and stop making people wait, so I'm just going to be choosing retyping chapters for now to at least give something for you to read. There won't be notifications of the sort since archives and Wattpad doesn't ping anyone for editing chapters, so I suggest for all of you to check for retyped chapters maybe every week or two. If you don't wanna do that, then maybe follow me on fanfiction.net to get notified of when I do post retypes there. Speaking of the retypes, I've posted TEN retyped chapters of 21-30 too, so check those out! I promise you that they're hella amazing and Izuku's fight against Enso in the festival is so much better. I appreciate all of you for sticking with me for so long despite my unorganized schedule. Have a nice day!

Enso walked through the forest with his dense wet hair dripping from his sides. He held his shoes and socks in his left hand and walked barefoot while he wore the rest of his uniform, despite it being completely soaked.

Diving into a lake headfirst might've not been the smartest idea he's ever had, and the boy couldn't help but wonder if Izuku's habit of reckless ideas were starting to influence him.

But despite his reckless actions, Enso had managed to learn so much at one moment. He proved to himself that he was Hiro, the person that disappeared from Yu and Nemuri's lives, he learned that he had known his worst opponent in a human form before he turned into a monster, and he learned that he actually had a quirk the entire time, one that allowed his body to absorb unique energy that he could use at his disposal.

"To think that Hiro had a quirk that he never knew he had... There was no way of finding out he had that kind of quirk until he actually came into contact with that amount of energy of that dangerous portal. And now..."

Enso looked down at his palm.

"I'm the one who has it. The power to use and manipulate energy? To be able to absorb energy from others? Is that how it works?"

He then glanced at his watch, which he put back on after the whole, diving into the water event.

"But... It still doesn't explain exactly why this device takes me to other worlds. Or why it points me towards certain people... Not only that, but I remember them saying that there was no way to send me back, so why does this thing allow me to travel? Did they lie?"

Enso remembered the old doctor's death, where he had simply stared as his own son, turned into a monster he knows him as, had killed him on their first encounter since he had woken up.

"That was his son... Lynch was his son. And his own son killed him..."

He heard some rustling of the bushes behind him, making him stop and turn around.

Ragdoll was hiding behind a tree surrounded by bushes while comedically glaring at Enso with an angry pout. Her costume was soaked from head to toe, due to needing to quickly dive into the water to save Enso before he ended up drowning himself.

"Jiiiiiii," Ragdoll stared.

"Um-"

"HISS!!" Ragdoll's tail shot up straight and she had an angry glare at the boy before diving down and disappeared into the bushes.

Enso sweatdropped.

"I guess she's still sour about having to give me CPR..."

He gazed around his surroundings until he spotted Ragdoll again, who was peeking at him between two bushes.

"Jiiiii"

Enso sighed, "Look, I've already apologized for putting you through that. How long are you planning to stay angry?"

"You think an apology is enough?! You made me panic, and worst... you made me give you my first..." She lightly blushed.

"I didn't think someone like her would be so distressed over this... has she really never kissed a man when she was younger?"

Thinking about that, Enso reminisced on his last memory being with Nemuri and Yu, when the three of them had been together in that lab before the boy was lost forever.

Enso put a hand to his lips, remembering the two young girls at the time confessing and even kissing him. Or kissing Hiro. He even he didn't know how to address himself in the past and present. As two different people? As the same person? He didn't know. But either way, when he recalled that memory, he felt a warmth in his lips that was similar to the warmth he felt when Ragdoll had her mouth on his. As if somehow recalling the feeling of the two previous young girls kissing him before.

But being reminded of the two girls that were now fully grown adults, he was reminded that those kisses were the cause of their shattered friendship in the first place.

"How... How am I going to tell them? Should I even tell them? What if it just worsens their relationship? To know that their childhood friend and love interest was turned into..."

He looked down at himself, "'This'... Wouldn't it just shatter them? Would Yu and Nemuri even consider being friends again?"

Enso glanced up only to see Ragdoll in front of his face with a pout and fumes coming out of her ears in comedic anger.

"You're thinking about it!"

"Huh?" Enso was surprised to see the Pussycat in front of him, backing up as the woman went forward.

"You're thinking about the kiss! I saw you put a hand to your lips!" Ragdoll proceeded to rapidly jab her hands at Enso.

"I wasn't thinking about yours," Enso said as he effortlessly used his hand to comedically block each punch.

Hearing this, Ragdoll stopped and looked surprised. "Eh?" She blinked. "Wait, not mine? You actually kiss a girl before?!"

Enso sighed and put a hand on his head. "It's... complicated."

Ragdoll's eyes lit up as a theory already came to mind, forming a smile and seeming to forget why she was angry before.

"Wait, wait, wait! Was it Midnight or Mount Lady?! It must've been!! Was it in the past, or was it just recently!?" She grabbed him by the shoulders and proceeded to shake him back and forth in excitement. "Who was it?!"

"How did her attitude change so quickly?" Enso thought as he started feeling dizzy.

"Please stop that... I'm still recovering from my concussion."

Ragdoll stopped shaking him with a look of realization, "Oh, whoopsie."

But then she smiled again, "But tell me!"

She let go of him and eagerly waited for him to speak, her cat tail swaying side to side.

Enso put a hand to his hurting head and sighed again.

"I didn't necessarily 'remember' it... Well, not until now. It's an odd scenario. I looked into Nemuri's memories a while back to figure out why her relationship with Yu was so distant. That's when I saw the last memory of them fighting until... I or Hiro got caught up in the portal."

"Wait, but which one kissed you?" Ragdoll asked with a curious face.

"They both did... That was basically what started the whole fight." Enso said with his head looking down.

"Oh..." Ragdoll didn't expect to receive such a depressing answer. "So... Then what now?"

Enso stared straight up at the sky with his eyelids partially closed.

"I have no idea... If I tell either of them that I'm their long-lost childhood friend who's been gone for over ten years, then it may just bring up the same drama from the past all over again."

"I see..." Ragdoll put on a look of thought with a finger on her chin. "Do you love either of them?"

"No."

"NO HESITATION!?!" Ragdoll fell back comedically.

Enso rubbed his eyes, "Hiro may have loved both of them back then, but I'm not him... I don't have a good understanding of love. Even if I did, I don't believe that I would have the right to respond to their feelings. That was for Hiro..."

Ragdoll got up with a serious expression on her face.

"Both of them should know... They both deserve to know. If everything you've been saying about them and yourself is true, then their loss of Hiro should still be eating away at their spirits. This may be the way to get them back on friendly terms again. Then from there, you guys can figure out how you're going to move forward... together."

Enso looked rather frustrated and turned away from her.

"What if they don't even believe me?... How can they anyway? There's no way for me to even prove to them-"

"You know the one place that could bring them together." Ragdoll cut him off with a smile.

Hearing that, Enso froze, thinking about that lonely cabin of sentimental value.

"..."

"Is it really right for them to continue suffering in silence?" Ragdoll asked him.

Enso maintained a few seconds of silence, contemplating on what to do.

He then took a deep breath and made his choice.

"After it's over... After everything is over... Then I'll tell them."

Ragdoll tilted her head curiously by what he meant.

"As long as Lynch is still out there... Then they'll be in danger. If he knows that I'm caring about certain people, then he'll hurt them... I don't want that. After I finally finish fighting Lynch... After he's finally stopped... Then I'll tell them. I'll tell them everything."

Ragdoll put her hands behind her back and maintained her smile.

"Well, at least you finally thought of a time to tell them. I hope everything works out." Ragdoll walked over to him and pat him on the back.

She then kept going and headed back for the camp, while Enso remained in place and continued to contemplate the whole experience he had.

At one point, Ragdoll turned her head back to him with a big grin, "You know, if you don't end up choosing either one of them, you'll always have me!" She laughed while pointing at herself proudly with her thumb.

"Good joke."

"You know, I was actually joking, but the way you answered without hesitation really feels like you just insulted me." Ragdoll said with a blank expression on her face."

She couldn't help but chuckle though, "Oh well."

She turned around and kept on walking.

Enso stared at the back of her head as she kept moving, feeling as if he should say something.

"Wait."

Ragdoll turned around to him and raised an eyebrow, "Hm?"

Enso walked over to her until he was a few feet away.

"..."

He lowered his body and bowed down respectively to her.

"Eh? What's this?" Ragdoll tilted her head curiously.

Enso took a deep breath. "Thank you... If it weren't for you, then I wouldn't have discovered all of this. You've been such an important help to me..."

Hearing him thank her and seeing him bow down like that, Ragdoll couldn't help but laugh and point at him with closed watery eyes.

"Hahahaha!! What's with that?! That so doesn't suit you at all! You look-!"

*Bonk!*

"Ow!" She clutched her head in a moment of pain, then opening her eyes to see Enso with his hand having finished karate-chopping her.

"How could you thank someone but then immediately hit them!?"

"I suddenly felt annoyed," Enso said with an eye twitching, clearly irritated with how Ragdoll responded to his sincere thanks.

"Ow... Ow... That hurts you know?" Ragdoll whimpered, rubbing the top of her head with both of her hands.

Enso stared down at her head.

"Fine."

He reached his right hand down and placed it on the top of her head.

"Eh?" Ragdoll's eyes shot wide open and she gazed up at Enso rubbing the top of her head, lowering her own hands.

"Sorry. I really do appreciate what you've done for me in just this short amount of time..." Enso said calmly while gently patting her.

Ragdoll stared up at Enso with her cheeks warming, taking in the feeling of the boy's hand atop her head. The pain she was feeling a moment ago was now gone. And instead, she felt a gentle warmth develop in place.

She lowered her eyes and nervously rubbed her hands together, her tail swaying side to side.

"S-So... We're close friends now?"

Enso's hand stopped as he picked up on that stutter, but decided not to press on it, instead, deciding to comment on her question.

"I had forgotten that was your main goal from the beginning. But by now... I just assumed that we were already friends."

Ragdoll formed a tiny smile in the corner of her mouth.

Enso moved his hand off her head and walked passed her, "Sorry for receiving your first."

Ragdoll's tail stuck straight up and she pouted angrily once more.

"You ruined the moment!"

"I don't know what you mean." Enso just carried on through the forest.

"Geez... This guy..." Ragdoll followed Enso from behind, glaring at the back of his head as they made their way through the forest. Despite feeling slightly irritated by that last comment, she still felt cheerful at how reassured the male in front of her was, knowing that he had some sort of path to follow with a goal in the end.

But she was still mad, expressing this by knocking the boy on the back of his head.

~{At The Camp}~

"IT'S GONNA BREAK! IT'S GONNA BREAK!" Izuku shouted as Tiger pushed his foot on the boy's back and tightly held each of his arms, pulling them back as hard as he can.

"To think you're this flexible, it intrigues me!" Tiger laughed menacingly.

"Um, Tiger? I think you may be going too far." Mandalay tapped him while sweatdropping.

"He'll be fine." Tiger released Izuku and the boy plopped to the ground with white eyes.

"Partner, I don't know how much more I can take of this." Ikari whined.

Izuku just twitched on the ground, feeling a burning in his arms.

"Why me?"

Mirio laughed at Izuku's misfortune, thinking it was amusing how flexible the boy was too. The sun was starting to go down in the horizon, orange colors lighting up the area over the suffering students.

Shinso hung upside down from a tree with an unamused and tired expression, his body completely wrapped in scarves that made him look like a white cacoon.

"Well, this is fun."

Aizawa stared at the boy with his arms crossed, then turning to the sun going down.

"I guess it's about time."

He turned to the students and cupped his hand around his mouth. "That's enough for today!"

Many students fell to the ground the moment he said this, their souls comedically leaving their bodies.

"Everyone, go take showers and change, then you may proceed to make dinner," Aizawa instructed them.

Izuku shakingly got up off the ground.

"Good thing there are private stalls in the shower... I won't have to worry about anyone seeing my back..."

The boy used his arms to push himself back to his feet, then glancing his head around at all the students present.

He noticed one wasn't around.

"Enso isn't back yet?" He muttered aloud.

"Nope, he's been gone for a while, hasn't he?" Miro responded next to the boy.

Izuku turned to him. "Mirio..."

"How you feeling kiddo?" The older teen grinned.

"I feel like I'm almost split apart..." Izuku confessed.

"Great! Then it means your growing!" The blonde laughed.

Izuku sweatdropped.

Pixie-bob stood up on a table and clapped to rush the students.

"Come on everyone! The quicker you get clean, the quicker you can start cooking!"

"Can't we just get started cooking now?" Kaminari sighed as he fell onto the ground.

"You can if you wanna feel your clothes sticking to you during the test of courage! Because right after we're done cooking, then we're gonna start it!"

"Oh right, that's today." Kirishima muttered.

"Hm, looks like Ureshi and Ragdoll are back." Vlad said as he squinted his eyes ahead at the forest.

Everyone turned and saw Enso come out of the trees first with a comedic red bump on the back of his head and his gym uniform completely soaked. Ragdoll came out after him, shivering with her arms crossed as she felt the coldness of her soaked clothes starting to get to her.

"What happened to you two!?" Pixie-bob shouted, shocked to see them soaked.

"Oh, I almost drowned." Enso said a little too carelessly.

"DROWNED!?!"

"Y-You r-really have no t-tact..." Ragdoll shivered from the cold.

Aizawa facepalmed and groaned, "Seriously? How did you even- You know what? I don't wanna know... Since both of you most likely didn't exercise at all, then you could just use the hot springs to warm yourselves up. I don't want you getting any colds. Afterward, dry up and come back here."

"Th-Thank y-you... achoo!" Ragdoll let out a small squeak of a sneeze.

"Kawaii..." Mina thought with a grin.

Enso saw Izuku and walked over to him on his way to the camp building, pressing a hand on his shoulder.

"If I'm still not here when you start cooking, then you know what to make." He said before continuing on.

"Eh? I do?!" Izuku thought in shock at the claim.

"Hey Midoriya after we're all done taking showers, teach me how to cook!" Nejire said as she excitingly invaded his personal space.

"Eh?"

"We look forward to working with you!" nearly everyone else comedically shouted in sync.

"EEEEEEHHHHHH!?!"

~{The Hot Springs}~

Enso dipped into the water by himself, only letting the top half of his head peak out while the rest of his body was submerged under the warm water.

In truth, being in the water right now felt somewhat uncomfortable to him, as he felt uneasy after the experience of almost drowning.

"It's been so long since I had an experience near-death... But I never thought that I would be the one inducing that..."

He took a deep breath with his nose, and breathed out with his mouth, causing bubbles to foam in the water right in front of his face.

"It was... odd."

"Hey kitten, how are you doing over there?"

Enso burst out of the water the moment he heard the voice behind him. He swiped the towel from his head and tightly wrapped it around his waist in half a second, then turning around and forming his dagger in his hand to confront voice.

However, he didn't see anyone else around the hot spring with him.

"Who in the-?"

He heard a burst of laughter.

"Hahahaha!! You really freaked out from that!?"

Enso realized that the voice wasn't in the same area of the hot spring as him, and rather, was actually on the other side of the tall, wooden wall.

"Tomoko?" Enso questioned, recognizing the voice of the Pussycat that had helped him so much.

"Yup! You looked so hilarious suddenly jumping up!" Ragdoll said with another loud laugh.

Enso made his dagger disappear and closed his eyes, sighing at the adult's childish acting.

"I should've known... Only you would sound that annoying..."

But then he picked up something odd about her words.

"Hold on... 'looked'?"

Enso formed a blue aura with blue eyes.

"Calm Mind." He detected the locations of his entire surroundings and confirmed his suspicions when he made out the outline of a person's head against the wooden wall.

He turned off his power but formed his dagger in his hand with comedic cross-veins forming over his head, then performing a backhand throw with his sharp blade rushing at a specific point of the wall.

"EEP!" He heard Ragdoll back away as the dagger jammed into the wall. "Kyah!" He then heard a slip on the ground and a splash of water.

"..."

He then heard her submerge from the water.

"Hey! I was only getting a peek!" Ragdoll complained.

"That's exactly the problem." Enso sweatdropped.

He walked over to his dagger and pulled it out, then slightly kneeling down so his head was at the same level to examine the hole.

"Hm, so there was already a hole here? And it was oddly hidden on the far left side..."

He heard Ragdoll get out of the water, prompting him to scoot away from the hole so he wouldn't see anything unnecessary.

"It's actually really easy to see from this side, so I think the girls actually made it." Ragdoll gave her theory.

Enso's eye twitched, "Those idiots... We really have to be careful so they don't look at Izuku's back..."

"Can you plug it up and talk to them about keeping their urges to themselves?" Enso sat down with his back against the wooden wall.

He heard Ragdoll sit down with her back against the opposite side of the wall.

"Oh come on, let them get a little service. It's not like you or Midoriya are there for them to see." Ragdoll chuckled.

"You're just as equally bad as them..."

"But at least I'm not like Ryuko." Ragdoll joked.

Enso looked down and couldn't but help but agree.

"Fair enough."

"Pfft!" He heard Ragdoll cover her mouth to keep in another laugh.

"..."

Enso glanced up at the sky as it turned completely dark now, revealing many bright stars lighting up.

"I didn't think I'd have this type of odd... 'friendship' with someone like you of all people."

"Don't say that as if I'm the worst person to be friends with." Ragdoll answered immediately with a blank expression on her face.

"But I really did think that." Enso carried on. "We're complete opposites. I'm cold and quiet while you're always cheerful and bursting with energy... I try not to get too involved with others but you go around just shouting whatever is on your mind-"

"I mean, but we both like to be blunt and just speak out what's on our mind, even if it could trigger some people." Ragdoll cut him off with a laugh.

Enso paused as he thought about this claim.

"Hm, I suppose so. We're both also good at understanding and figuring out people." He found himself carrying on with their similarities.

"And we both like to expose people's weaknesses and manipulate them to gain favors!"

Enso raised an eyebrow.

"I mean, you're not entirely wrong, but I feel like you're only guessing that about me..." Enso responded.

"I'm good at figuring out people easily, remember? Even you, despite only knowing you for three days." Ragdoll grinned.

"Even just one day is such a long time to figure out someone." Enso pointed out.

"Heh, I guess so if you think about it."

Then an awkward silence remained. Enso found himself feeling surprised, as he felt that he should actually say something to continue on with the conversation. But for once, he didn't know what to say in such a casual atmosphere.

Ragdoll spoke first though.

"Hey, Enso... When you leave from the camp, you know, to go fight that scary guy you mentioned before and to fix your little love triangle... Do you know what you're going to do afterward?"

Enso looked down and thought about this serious decision.

"I... I don't know. I feel that it would be wrong to just forget the past I've had and continue living on as if nothing happened... Is it fair for me to live my future when I've taken away the futures of so many others?"

Ragdoll closed her eyes and partially smiled.

"Instead of using that past to bring yourself down, use it to push yourself forward. If you hated it, then change it. Become the hero that you want to be."

Enso put a hand to his chin in thought. "I suppose... that makes sense."

"Personally, I think you'd make a fun and adorable pussycat." Ragdoll giggled.

"So that's your intention? You want me to become a member of your back alley cats?"

"Come on now, don't call it that. I'm sure it'd be fun for you, we may even be able to get you to crack a smile." Ragdoll edged him on.

Enso shook his head, "Sorry but... I don't think becoming a cat is my thing. Especially with those... 'costumes.'"

Ragdoll pouted in some disappointment, but then reformed the smile back as she somewhat expected this.

"Well, I'll make sure that we'll always have a spot for you. I'm sure the others would be okay with it."

Enso took a deep breath and felt the warmth of the air, then breathing it out. Everything so far had been an adventure that he actually wanted to remember. Meeting Izuku, going to classes, fighting and working alongside people, it was an experience he hasn't been able to appreciate for such a long time. Even this small conversation with the most troublesome of the Pussycats was something he was... enjoying? He didn't really know for sure.

But one thing he did know, was that there was someone staring at him.

He sighed with cross-veins of irritation.

"Tomoko..."

"Yeah?" The pussycat giggled.

"...If you don't move away from that hole, you're going to be the one under the water this time."

He heard her scoot away.

~{After Showering}~

Izuku and everyone else wore their casual clothing now, with Izuku's own clothing consisting of a pure black shirt and dark blue shorts. He smiled as he nearly finished cooking as a sort of show to his classmates, demonstrating to them how to create the meal he was making.

"Then you mix in the beef and add chopped tomatoes along with tomato puree," Izuku explained as his helpers, Shinso and Todoroki, poured the two said ingredients into a large tub of other cooked components, mixing them together with smiles.

"So the tomato paste goes in instead of any cream or butter. Enso says that it's a nice, healthy way of eating a spicy curry." Izuku said happily as everyone else stared with drooling mouths.

"Then, you let it simmer for a bit, before serving it on a plate with rice."

After a few moments of waiting, Iida placed a circle of rice on a plate and grabbed a ladle, scooping up a chunk of curry and pouring it over the rice.

He gave the plate to Izuku with a smile and the boy held it up, showing its steaming and shining presentation.

"And that's how you make spicy beef curry." He proudly finished.

"OOOOOOO!!!!" Everyone started clapping energetically.

"This feels so weird... It's like I'm a teacher." Izuku thought as he stared at his applauding class.

"Can you guys do it yourselves now? He asked them.

"Whoa! Bakugo already did it!" Kirishima said.

They turned and saw Bakugo have a plate of curry nearly identical to Izuku's, the boy glaring at them before turning his head away.

"Why the fuck are you all so surprised!? It's not that hard if you just listen, you extras..." He said with a snarl.

"Kacchan, you listened to my instructions!?" Izuku asked with sparkling eyes.

Bakugo flinched and turned with a comedic glare, "SHINE!!"

"Shine?!" Izuku thought with a blank expression.

"Alrighty, everyone. You all saw how to do it. Now try it out for yourselves." Mandalay encouraged them all with a smile.

"Okay!!!" Everyone shouted.

Izuku sat down with his plate and smiled as the classes started to cook with excitement.

"Funny to think that an hour ago, everyone felt as if they were dying from their exercises, but now they're full of energy just because of cooking..."

He felt a warmth in his heart grow as he watched everyone working together with happy faces.

"I wonder if this is how Lunch Rush feels when he cooks for people..."

He took a spoonful of his curry into his mouth and closed his eyes.

"So good!" He thought, starting to sparkle with flowers blooming around him.

"Hey Deku."

Izuku snapped out of his bliss and turned left to see Ochako sitting next to him and setting down her own plate of finished curry next to his.

"Oh! You finished your plate already?" Izuku asked, sounding impressed.

She nodded, "Yeah, Tsu and I and followed your actions as you cooked like Bakugo did.."

"Good job! You and Tsu both did that?"

"Yep, Ochako-chan and I helped each other out. Kero."

Izuku looked right and saw Tsu sitting down next to him.

"How did it end up?" Izuku asked them.

"Actually, I kind of wanted you to be the judge of that." Ochako said with a shy blush.

"Eh?" Izuku didn't know why she formed that small blush.

Ochako got a spoonful of her curry and lifted up near Izuku's face, smiling as she did so.

"Say 'ah'!"

Izuku blushed with his mouth agape. "A-Ah-Mmph!" He had the spoon pushed into his mouth in an instant.

"Kero." Tsu let out a small giggle from seeing Izuku's embarrassment be what allowed Ochako to feed him.

Ochako pulled her spoon out, it's contents now empty. "How is it?"

Izuku was still shaken up, but took the time to appreciate the flavor in his mouth.

"Mm... Itz gwood!"

"Really? I'm glad..." Ochako said with a happy feeling.

"Midoriya! Don't speak with your mouth full!" Iida called to him with a karate-chopping gesture.

Izuku flinched.

"Mm! Shworry!" He swallowed his food and continued to praise Ochako. "I really like it, I'm sure even Enso would say you're great!"

"That's good to know." Ochako giggled. She leaned closer to Izuku and whispered in his ear.

"When we head back home... You should let me cook for you sometimes..."

Reminded of the fact that Ochako did indeed lived with him, Izuku's skin turned completely red and he started sweating buckets.

"Y-Yeah..."

"Izu-chan."

Izuku nervously turned right and saw Tsu holding up a spoon with her own plate of curry.

"Saw 'ah,' Kero." She cheerfully said.

Izuku gulped down air before opening his mouth. "A-Ah!"

Rather than suddenly push in her spoon like Ochacko did, Tsu gently guided into Izuku's mouth and let him close his mouth.

"How is it?"

Izuku chewed before swallowing again, then smiling in bliss.

"Yours is delicious too, Tsu!"

Tsu looked down and slightly warmed from his praise.

A sudden burst of flames then interrupted their moment.

"What was that!?" Izuku looked behind him and wondered if something happened with Todoroki, but instead, he saw the blue-haired senior holding a pan with a pillar of flames erupting from it.

"Whoops."

"Nejire!? What did you do!?" Izuku jumped off his seat and rushed over to her, leaving Ochako and Tsu by themselves.

"Is she really that bad at cooking?" Ochako asked with a dumbfounded expression.

"I didn't think that one of the U.A top students would be that much of an airhead. Kero." Tsu said truthfully with a finger to her chin.

The two watched as Izuku had Todoroki use his ice to put out the fire, completely freezing the pan in the process.

"Heh, crazy things sure keep happening with our class." Ochako joked as she watched the scene unfold.

Tsu looked around and thought about the happy relations that she had with her class, watching them all work together to cook a hopefully decent meal. But this also brought some unwanted doubts, caused by glancing at a few specific groups who all had an interest in the beloved student of Class A.

She watched as Momo instructed Jiro to cut the vegetables, watched as Mina and Hagakure grinned while pouring a little too much oil on the pan, and she turned to Ochako, noticing her loving gaze towards Izuku.

Her gaze fell down, feeling slightly more disheartened than before.

"Yeah... Everything is fine..." She mumbled.

"Hm?" Ochako heard her friend's tone change and turned to her with a curious look.

"Tsu?"

The frog-girl didn't seem to notice that Ochako's attention was on her.

"Everything is fine the way it is... It's great right now..."

Ochako noticed something off with her most trusted friend.

"Tsu? Is there something wrong?"

Tsu blinked and realized she was mumbling out loud.

"Ah, nothing Ochako-chan." She tried to force a smile, but the gravity girl obviously saw through it

She furrowed her brow, "Tsu... No offense, but it's obvious there's something wrong with you."

Tsu blinked, "Really?"

Ochako nodded.

Tsu looked down again. She couldn't exactly confess to her best friend that she had betrayed her trust in supporting her and Izuku. But it wasn't just that. She thought about all the other girls and their friendships with one another. She didn't want that to change, she didn't want any of it to change.

"Ochako-chan..." She glanced up at her friend with a sad expression. "You know that... everyone likes Izu-chan... Right?"

Ochako blinked at the sudden question, "Eh?"

"Every girl in our class likes him... You wouldn't think that it would normally be possible... That so many different people with so many different tastes would fall for the same person. But... He just made so many big impacts on all of us, he's such an amazing person, and it's easy to see why we all... love him."

Ochako lightly blushed and looked down.

"I mean... Yeah, all of us made it basically made it obvious to each other how we feel... But why bring this up now?"

Tsu took a deep breath, deciding to just throw her worries out.

"Why do you think none of us had actually tried to ask him out? To try to get him to accept a confession?"

Hearing this, Ochako couldn't help but feel uneasy, she looked back up at Tsu in the eyes.

"Tsu... Where's this coming from?"

"Can you... just answer, please?" Tsu asked her.

Ochako still had a look of concern, then proceeding to answer.

"It's because... We're all worried that if he actually chooses one of us... then it might ruin the friendships that we've built together, right?"

Tsu nodded, clearly hating that fact.

"Even though we never actually talked about it before... we're all worried about the same thing. To betray one another, to try taking the person that we all like. I'm sure that we've all made some kind of move on him at some point, but we've never actually asked him about because... because of the 'fear' we all have of what'll happen afterward with everyone else."

Ochako remained silent as her friend let out what was on her mind.

"But... it can't stay that way forever. We can't keep these feelings bottled up forever... Sooner or later, something is going to happen. Then... what will happen to all of us? To the friendships we made? Would all of them just shatter... Just because of a guy...?"

Ochako scooted closer to her friend, patting her on the shoulder to comfort her.

"So that's what's going on... You think we all won't be friends anymore just because someone may date Deku."

Tsu silently nodded again.

Ochako forced a small smile. "Sometimes I think about it too. If Deku suddenly started dating one of the others, then... I'd honestly be crushed."

Tsu somewhat expected this.

"But I would also be happy."

Tsu blinked in surprise.

"If someone dates Deku, then that means he views that person as the one who makes him the happiest. I want to be that person, but with there being six of us, maybe even more, I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't get chosen. But I wouldn't stop being friends with you guys just because of that, I still really care about you all, we're like family... Don't you agree?"

Tsu nodded, "Yeah. I feel the same."

"Then I'm sure the others think the same way. They wouldn't want to end our friendships just because of that. You put my feelings over your own so many times, even now with Deku. Even though you still like him, you chose to support me instead. I would never want to lose that kind of friend."

Tsu couldn't help but feel as if her insides were crushed.

"We'll always be friends, no matter what happens. So... don't think about these bad things." Ochako smiled.

Hearing that did give a small, reassuring feeling to Tsu.

"Promise?"

Ochako wrapped her arms around Tsu and tightly hugged her.

"Promise."

Tsu let out a small croak.

"Wait, Nejire! The fire doesn't have to be that big!"

The two girls glanced over at Izuku quickly taking out one of the thick wooden logs of the fireplace, while Nejire stepped back and looked confused.

"It doesn't?"

"Hot! Hot! Hot! Todoroki!" Izuku called for help as he dropped the burning log to the ground.

The icy-hot teen sent a wave of ice at them, causing some white clouds to burst up and cover the area. When they dispersed, Izuku was shivering with ice on him and the now frozen fireplace.

"N-N-Not th-that m-much!" He shivered.

"Whoops." Was all the teen remarked on the matter.

Ochako and Tsu turned back to each other, then letting out small giggles.

~About Fifteen Minutes Later~

"There, just like that. Keep cutting them with that technique," Izuku instructed the blue-haired beauty.

Nejire was slightly crouched over the cutting board with a knife in her right hand, cutting up a few tomatoes.

"Like this?" The girl turned her head and look up at Izuku with an unsure expression as she worked.

"Ah! Nejire! Don't look at me! Look at your fingers!" He quickly turned her head back down.

"Oop! My bad." The girl kept on chopping.

"Phew..." Izuku wiped his head at the nervous sweat that was forming on him.

"At least she has this part down..."

Tamaki placed a piece of octopus in his mouth and chewed as he stared at the two from afar.

"Midoriya... If you can actually teach Nejire how to do normal things like a decent human being... Then I'll be eternally grateful to you!"

He glanced at his plate and sighed, then taking a sip of water.

"You know... I think they look good together."

"PFFT!" Tamaki spurred the liquid in his mouth out and turned to his left to see Mirio with a grin and a hand on his chin. "*cough* M-Mirio?! What did you say?!"

His friend let out a chuckle.

"I feel that Midoriya and Hado would make quite the pair. One that's timid by nature, but amazingly confident and wouldn't hesitate to break a few bones to protect the ones he cares for, while the other is always energetic and outgoing, but clearly an airhead. It's perfect."

"Hold on, what about that is perfect?!" Tamaki couldn't understand his friend's thinking.

Mirio just slightly turned his head to his friend with stars sparkling around him.

He gave a thumbs-up, "I think it's amusing!" He laughed.

Tamaki sweatdropped at his questionable thinking, then turning back to see Izuku crouching next to Nejire and teaching her how to set the fire correctly.

"*Sigh* I just can't see it..." He mumbled.

Enso came out of the building wearing his business suit while drying his hair with a towel, examining his classmates cooking their meals.

"Hm, if they're doing this well, then Izuku must be a decent teacher."

"Heya Enso!"

He turned right and saw Pixie-bob walking over to him with a plate of curry in her hands.

"Oh... You..." Enso instinctively said.

"I don't like that tone." Pixie-bob hissed with cross-veins of irritation.

Enso rubbed the back of his head, "Yeah, yeah... So what do you need from me?"

Pixie-bob stared him down with a suspicious look. "Well, first I was going to ask, why are you wearing a business suit!? Don't you have any casual clothes!?"

"These are my casual clothes."

Pixie-bob formed blank look on her face.

"If those are your casual clothes then I don't even wanna think about how your hero costume looks."

"This is my hero costume."

"WHICH ONE IS IT!?!" Pixie-bob's tail stuck straight up.

"Both."

"For crying out-! *Sigh*, you know what? Why do I even bother?"

"That's what I've been saying since the beginning..." Enso rolled his eyes.

Pixie-bob took a deep breath and formed a smile, "I made some curry based on your little student's instructions. Wanna try it?"

Enso curiously stared down at Pixie-bob's plate of curry.

"Well, it doesn't look like it'll kill me..."

"Just shut up and eat it."

"...ok."

Enso grabbed the spoon and scooped up a small portion of curry into his mouth. He pulled out the spoon and slowly chewed, appreciating all the flavor of it.

"So? What do you think?" Pixie-bob smiled, her tail waving side to side.

Enso swallowed.

"Needs more salt."

"You don't hesitate at all, huh?" Pixie-bob sweatdropped.

"But..."

Hearing him say that, she perked up.

"Other than that... It's perfect."

The Pussycat's tail happily waved from side to side.

"Really!?" She looked relieved.

Enso nodded in agreement.

"The meat is tender, the rice is perfectly warmed up, and it's full of flavor."

"So you can be nice." She joked.

"It's not being nice. It's simple facts." He corrected her.

"Well, either way. I'm happy." She smiled.

"..." Enso remembered Pixie-bob's proposal before, where she blatantly just asked him to be in a relationship with her.

He sighed and rubbed the back of his head, "Ryuko... About you're proposal-"

"You accept!?" The woman's eyes sparkled.

"Hell no."

"ACK!" She turned black and white.

Enso realized what he did wrong.

"Sorry, that was an instinct. What I meant to say was... I don't think I even can."

She blinked. "Huh? What do you mean?"

Enso averted his gaze from her, "There are things I haven't settled..."

Pixie-bob curiously stared at him, she sighed and set her plate of curry down on the table, then turning back to Enso.

"Does it have to do with something you remembered from Ragdoll?"

Enso turned back to her, staring in silence.

"So that's it... She's the best at what she does, so it's no surprise that she was able to help someone like you. But... could you at least tell me what you have to settle?"

The boy thought about Midnight and Mount Lady.

"...Some old ties that I didn't even know I had."

"Now that sounds really ominous... But I guess I shouldn't pry." Pixie-bob sighed.

"But I'll come back."

"Eh?" Pixie-bob blinked.

"I'm going to come back here one day. I know it. And when I do... I want to fix something of importance to me. So... maybe I could use your help."

"Are you asking me on a date?!" Pixie-bob squealed.

"Were you not listening, you hormonal woman?" Enso snapped.

Pixie-bob erupted with laughter and formed tears in her eyes, "I was actually joking that time!"

"For once." Enso remarked.

Once she calmed down, the Pussycat grinned.

"You wanna fix that little lake house, don't ya?"

"...Right. I forgot you know about it as well." Enso confessed.

"Well, if you ever want help fixing it up, just hit me up."

She reached into the pocket of her costume and handed Enso a slip of paper.

He took it and glanced down at the numbers on it.

"What kind of business card is this?"

"It's not a card, it's my personal number." She gleamed.

"...You carry slips of your personal number?"

"They're in case I found guys I'm interested in. Like right now." She winked.

"Of course they are." He sighed in disappointment.

He glanced down at the slip of paper, then back to Pixie-bob.

"Could... I bring others with me? If I do end up coming back?"

"Sure! You thinking of bringing your little kitten back with you?" She asked him.

"Actually..." He turned to his classmates happily cooking.

"I was thinking of a lot more."

~{9:00PM}~

"Now that we've filled our bellies and washed the dishes! Next is-!" Ragdoll started with a grin.

"-It's time for the test of courage!!" Mina shouted with her arms shot up in the air with excitement.

"Yeah!" Several others shouted.

Unfortunately, Aizawa had to break the news to them.

"Before that, it pains me to say this, but the extra lessons group with be having a remedial class with me now."

There was a brief moment of comedic pause.

"NO WAY!!" The extra lessons group screamed through the night, causing many startled birds to fly out from the trees.

"NO! You'll never take me alive!" Mina proceeded to bolt away from him, heading to god-knows-where.

But a sudden scarf shot out and wrapped around her legs, causing her to fall face-first to the ground.

Surprisingly though, those scarves didn't belong to her teacher, but rather, by his special student.

"Oh look, I got her." Shinso grinned as he tightly held onto his scarves.

Mina raised her head off the ground and turned to him with bulging eyes.

"Shinso!?! You traitor!!"

Shinso shrugged with a smug grin, "Sorry, I need the practice."

"Thank you Shinso." Aizawa casually walked over to Mina and pulled her up with an evil grin. "So, you thought you could get away? Sounds like your eyes don't need any sleep tonight."

"NOOOO!!!! Midori! Save me!!!" Mina shouted desperately, her nails dug into the ground as she was dragged away with the other students needing the extra lessons.

"I'm sorry Mina..." Izuku thought with a sympathetic look.

Pixie-bob stood on a table and proceeded to explain the test of courage.

"So there will be two groups! Class A and B! The Big Three may choose which side they wish to be on! One class will hide along the path of the forest and wait for pairs of the other class to walk through every three minutes! There will be tags with your names written on them on the route, so you have to bring those back with you to get points for your class!"

"So it's to show who actually had the nerves to go through the forest and not chicken out..." Enso thought in his mind.

"Those being scarers aren't allowed to make any direct contact! Show us how scary you can be with your quirks instead!"

Tiger suddenly took a large step forward with his foot slamming into the ground as he pointed at the groups of students.

"The class that can make the most people piss their pants with creativity and imagination wins!"

"That's disgusting." Jiro irked.

"How pointless..." Enso sighed as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Constantly wearing a suit instead of normal clothing is pointless." Ragdoll grinned.

Enso flinched, then slowly turning his head to her with his red eyes shining in a glare.

"So you have chosen death."

"Don't say that." Izuku said with a blank stare.

"Ryuko, the papers, please." Mandalay told her Pussycat partner.

"Oh right!" Pixie-bob grinned as she stuck her hand in the air with several slips of papers.

"Class B will be the scarers! And we'll determine the pairs for Class A using lots!"

A few of the Class A girls had menacing flashes in their eyes, while the rest of them formed light blushes.

They were all thinking of partnering with the same person after all.

After drawing lots, Izuku glanced down at his slip of paper which said... '9' on it.

"Wait, if we're two a team... and since there are 22 of my class with five of them at extra lessons..."

He glanced around at everyone and counted how many pairs there were.

"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, ni-"

Izuku blinked.

"Wait a minute... Twenty-two of us minus five is seventeen, then you divide that by eight to get two but with one leftover, and if I count the order of pairs based on the numbers..."

Izuku glanced down at his number

'9'.

"I'm the extra person!?" He realized out loud in black and white colors.

"OF COURSE OUT OF EVERYONE HE'S THE ONE ALONE!" The girls comedically fell to the ground in irony.

"I mean, we drew lots, so of course someone was gonna be unlucky." Ojiro tried to comfort Izuku.

"Don't worry partner! You still got me!" Ikari emerged next to Izuku and gave him a thumbs up.

"...Ikari, your shaking." Izuku told him.

"...But it's because your shaking."

Izuku looking down at his shaking legs.

"Crap..."

Enso turned to his own partner, who was Shinso.

"Well... At least it's you."

"Ima take that as a compliment." Shinso chuckled.

"Are you good at handling these types of things?"

"What? Scary tests of courage? I'm sure it's gonna be less scary and more hilarious with you." He grinned.

Mandalay turned to the Big Three, "Are any of you going to join?"

"I'd rather not... I'm not good with scary things..." Tamaki said with a shiver.

"If it's alright, I actually wish to join the scarers!" Mirio grinned.

"Then I'll partner up with Midoriya!" Nejire happily smiled as she slid next to Izuku.

"Eh!? Really?!" Izuku shouted with comedic tears of happiness at the thought of not being alone on this test.

"Do your best to scare us Mirio!" Nejire waved to him.

"Will do!" Mirio's clothes fell off and he suddenly sank into the ground.

"That's gonna be more than scary to me!" Jiro shivered.

Ochako and Tsu both had depressing auras around them as they saw Izuku with Nejire.

"Out of everyone..."

Ochako let out a disappointed sigh but then turned to Tsu with a smile.

"I guess I should still be considered lucky that I got paired up with you Tsu."

Tsu nodded, "I think so too." She smiled.

Hagakure pouted next to Jiro with her arms crossed.

"Aw... I really wanted to pretend I was scared so I could latch onto Midori... Or make him latch onto me."

Jiro shivered nervously, "Damn it! I thought I would be able to get through this with Deku's help, but I think I might end up wussing out! I really don't like scary things!"

Momo sighed as Aoyama posed next to her while winking to god knows who.

"Oh well... Could've been worse."

Pixie-bob jumped off the table and pointed at everyone.

"One last thing! Ragdoll here will be a checkpoint of the sort along the path! So if any of you decide to wuss out in the middle of the game, then you could go to her and feel bad about yourself!"

Enso glanced over to Ragdoll, who waved at everyone. "Welp, I'm off!" She started prancing, but when she passed by Enso, she turned to him, "See ya! Try not to bawl your eyes out getting scared!" She winked at him.

"The moment I see you again, I'm going to knock you on the head."

Ragdoll laughed, "Alrighty! See you then!" She cheerfully skipped into the woods.

"Is that them... getting along?" Nearly everyone questioned.

Pixie-bob pouted.

"I already called dibs on him Tomoko!"

"Let's get started!! Class B, go to your positions! Class A, get ready to get your pants scared off!!The pairs will go off into the forest in a random order as well! Have fun everyone!" Mandalay shouted.

Dabi stood near the edge of the rocky cliff, glancing down at the lights of the camp building and noticing some movement.

He looked through binoculars he brought with him and saw three students he didn't recognize, three older looking students.

"Hm, we weren't told about this..."

"What's wrong Dabi?" Toga asked him, a slightly muffled voice due to her villain costume mask.

Dabi lowered his binoculars and turned to her, "There are three other students that aren't on the list. They look like they're from the older classes."

"Who cares?! Just let me at em!" The large, masked figure with a black cloak growled.

"Now, now, we can't just go in gun's blazing." The villain wearing a gas mask warned him.

"Hi! Sorry for the wait!" A transgender woman with a muscular build and big lips along with triangular glasses came behind the group, holding a rectangular object wrapped in cloth.

"Work... Work...!" A tall man wearing a black straightjacket of the sort that restricted his arms and had his mouth forced open.

A lizardman wearing a somewhat similar outfit to Stain came out and grinned, tying a bandana with holes for his eyes to look through.

"For Stain..." He mumbled.

"So, what's the problem?" The big-lipped woman asked.

"There are people there that weren't mentioned." Dabi sighed.

He pulled out a cell phone and pressed on a specific contact, then raising it to his ear.

After two rings, someone picked up.

"What is it? Aren't you supposed to be burning down the forest?" Shigaraki asked in an obvious sound of annoyance.

"There are three other people at the camp you didn't tell us about... They look like older kids." Dabi told him.

He heard a sigh.

"How do they look?"

Dabi raised the binoculars back and caught sight of the three of them before they split up.

"A blonde guy with weird eyes, an angsty looking black-haired guy with pointy ears, and a busty girl with long blue hair."

"Dabi... You pervert." Toga smirked.

"Shut it you." Dabi said in an unamused manner.

There was the sound of rustling papers, and then silence.

"..."

Dabi raised an eyebrow to this silence.

"Well? You got any info?"

He heard Shigaraki sigh, "Damn it... Of course U.A's top three would be there of all times..."

Dabi raised an eyebrow, "Hold on, top three students? That'll definitely be a problem."

"I know... Arrgh! Fine. I'll send you guys more Nomus."

"How many?" Dabi asked curiously.

"As many as Sensei will send me."

He heard the line hang up.

"This guy-!" Dabi said in irritation. He stuffed his phone back into his pocket and sighed. "Oh well... At least we're getting more help."

"Dabi! When can we go?!" Toga whined to him.

"When the Nomus and the other two idiots come." Dabi snapped.

"Finally... Finally!" Toga giggled creepily.

Dabi made a face of disgust.

"Creepy..."

He then turned to the rest of the group.

"Remember-" He pulled out three pictures. "-we're specifically going after these two and leaving this other one alive. Weird how specific he was..."

The three pictures consisted of Izuku, Bakugo, and Enso.

"So try capturing the explosive boy and angry green boy, but leave the edgelord alive. Anyone else you could just kill them off."

"Understood." The person with a gas mask nodded.

Dabi turned to the view as he began thinking out loud.

"Hmph, heroes..." He grinned menacingly with blue flames emerging in his hands.

"They want to 'protect' others, but let's see if they can protect themselves."

~{Meanwhile}~

The boney and fleshy figure that was Lynch stood right in front of a worn-down cabin. He stared at the rotting structure and let out a ghostly chuckle.

"So... This is it."

He turned his body and faced the beautiful lake, examining the white colors of the moon and stars reflecting off the water.

"How nice..."

He waved his palm over the ground, where several large, black, and circular puddles formed along the ground.

"It's a shame it has to go."

His red eyes flared up as several figures started surfacing from these puddles.

"So many shapes... So many sizes... Come on out everyone my precious Ravagers."

Multiple monsters started crawling out, each letting out a unique sound from clicks, to growls.

"There we go, now... it's time to play."

Each monster had some of the same similarities. A few remains of human clothes on them, some humanoid parts like arms and legs, the pure white skin, no hair or eyes, and jagged teeth on a mouth somewhere on their bodies.

This was where their similarities ended though, as each monster completely emerged from their portals, Lynch appreciated all their unique details.

One had a rather big figure with white tentacles growing on it's back, another was skinny but on all fours with teeth-like claws replacing its hands and feet along with fleshy wings sprouting from its back, and another simply looked like a long and large worm with rows of teeth in its front mouth. More and more of these monsters emerged until there were about a dozen in total.

"Ravage through them, give them a first impression they'll never forget. Let them know that there is no safe haven."

The monster clicked, wailed, and moaned, finishing climbing out of their portals and adjusting on the ground.

"Hm?" Lynch was suddenly surprised as something happened with each creature.

One monster wailed and swung around its white hands, which suddenly turned into a dense looking stone.

Another one had sharp spikes made out of bones to burst out of its arms, causing it to wail in pain and flail it around.

Then another had a dragon arm mutate in place of its left hand, yet it didn't seem to hurt it.

Then the worm-like creature started coughing violently before spraying a stream of paint that splattered to the floor.

"Hm? What's all this?" He walked over to one of his creations and grabbed it's arm, checking out the stone hands it had. "They never had weird powers like these before... So why now?"

Lynch suddenly had a moment a realization.

"Hehehe... So that's how it is." He said let go of his creation and turned to the other Ravagers with strange powers.

"These... These are all those 'quirks' that originated in this world!! Aren't they!?"

He marched to another Ravager and checked out the long, bone-like spikes.

"All these bodies came from this world, and all those people had quirks, didn't they?! Interesting, how interesting..."

He walked over to the one with the dragon arm and felt upon it, "This guy only had a dragon arm? What a lame 'quirk.'"

He let go of it and backed up, appreciating the sight of his monsters' powers.

"My research side is itching at me... After this, I gotta check this is out. I have to learn how to use these powers for myself..."

He turned around, looking calmer than before.

"But for now..."

He pointed a palm out in the direction of the forest.

"Go."

Various cries and screeches came from his creations, which then started bolting into the forest in different ways. The worm dug into the ground using its jagged teeth, the skinny one flapped it's flesh-like wings and kept in a low altitude as it flew into the forest, and the others just started sprinting.

"They grow up so fast." He joked.

He turned the corner of his eyes to the small cabin. "Now then..."

He crouched down to the grass and stuck out a bony finger, where a small, green flame flared up.

He lowered the small flame to the ground, where it immediately flared up on the grass. He watched as the flames start to quickly spread around him, getting closer and closer to the trees and more importantly, towards the cabin.

His eyes and jagged open mouth turned blood-red.

"Let's get Reapy's attention."
