❦ Three
"So.." You drawled out, placing the lunch box you made on the table. Shinso was taking a bite of his own lunch, when you sat across him. He chewed on his food silently, watching as you unpacked your lunch.
Shinso could feel several eyes leering at him, as you obliviously started eating. He tried to ignore it, watching as you ate up your lunch, swallowing before continuing your small talk.
"You don't mind me sitting here right?" You asked, crossing your legs comfortably.
Shinso stayed silent, peering at you boredly. "Aren't you supposed to ask that before making yourself comfy?"
You blinked, before taking another bite of the rice. "I was only asking to be polite."
The violet boy almost seemed to be stunned, before rolling his tired eyes. He continued eating though, not minding the extra company that much. You two ate in silence in the small cafeteria, the atmosphere lively with chattering students taking seat on the many chairs provided.
After your little exchange with Shinso, you didn't talk much with your neighboring seat mate. Other than asking him to pick up your fallen pencil, the both of you focused on the class.
It was pretty obvious he wasn't that most likable to your peers, who would sometime greet you friendlily every now and then. They would stare at him, a bit unsure and uneasy, and rarely talk to him, in fact looking much more careful when they asked the boy a question. Some did talk to him, yet there was this hint of distaste Shinso gave off when he's conversing with them.
Which was probably why you found the boy sitting broodingly alone eating his lunch.
You hummed, taking another bite of your lunch. "Hey shinso."
The boy grunted in reply.
"Let's exchange numbers." You nonchalantly said, causing shinsou to stop mid-bite.
"You want to exchange numbers with me?" The boy looked downright puzzled by this point.
"Yeah why not."
"We barely talked." Shinso pointed out.
"That's why we'll talk more." You admitted dubiously. Aren't phones for talking?
"No."
"Why not?" You pressed to the violet-head boy, leering closer as he gave you his deadest look.
"It's too tiring."
You frowned at him, with the guy not budging for a moment. It went on like this for awhile, before Shinso sighed, placing his finished chopsticks down. "And your sure you want that?"
"Um, plenty sure." You shrugged, also packing up your the empty lunch box.
You stared down at each other, him blankly watching you, while you watched him patiently. You couldn't help but wonder what goes on in his mind. Shinso gave a sigh once more, before he fished a phone from his pocket, handing it to you.
Beaming, you took his phone, entering the digits as you went to fish out your own device. Opening it up, you handed the machine to a curious Shinso, who picked up the device in confusion.
"I never seen a phone like this before." He commented, before entering his own number in.
You chuckled, "well, it's made for work."
The pokedex was a machine that had every information of every Pokemon you had come across. It's supposed to make it easier for your work, so it wasn't a complete lie. The pokedex was a replace for a phone, having all the necessary things a phone should have, with the feature of easily containing your Pokemon data.
"You have a job?" He perked in interest. The moody male pocketed his hands in his school trousers, towering over your shorter form in interest.
You shrugged with a nod. "More or less I suppose."
The violet haired boy gave back your device, which you happily took out of his hands as the bell rung, signaling the classes about begin.
"Let's get back to class." Shinso pointed out, leaving you in the dust.
This guy really does remind you of someone, as you followed after the tall boy.

"(Last name)", you looked away at the chat you had with Shinso, the boy seemingly excessively trying to avoid your endless attempts on starting a conversation.
You looked up to stare at the dark-clothed hero, your current caretaker, who was holding up Eevee on his left arm, looking rather terrified, while your Pikachu was picked up by his scruff by his right hand, the mouse giving you a rather shaky look. Another creature being held tightly by the scarfs of Eraserhead's weapon, wrapped like a mummy beside the man with a frustrated look. And with the cherry on top, Aizawa looking more scruffier than he looks, believe it or not, with an irked expression.
Wiggling out of the ebony-haired man hold, Pikachu and Eevee scrambled into your arms, quickly scampering into your arms in fright. Aipom, the 'mummified' monkey, tried to pull off the scarves off, only to find it futile with a frustrated sigh.
"Holy-what did you guys do!?" You whispered frantically, as you watched Aizawa walk closer towards you, with the monkey trailing after. He didn't even bother to tidy himself up, looking downright finish with everything.
You prepared for the worse, the two creatures looking more frightened. Squinting a bit, you watched as the pro-hero scratched his beard tiredly.
"How was school?"
You blinked. "Um..ok?" You answered doubtfully, the scruffy man seems pretty satisfied.
"What took you so long?" He asked this time, walking towards the dormitory, hoping to enter the building quickly. Scrambling to walk beside him, the two creatures relaxed in your hold.
The sun was close to descending by now. you were riding your bike on the way back to U.A, but decided to take a little look around the city, trying to get used to the new area.
"I took a detour." You shrugged, Eraserhead grunted in reply, entering the building.
Whatever ruckus that happened inside your home, it didn't seem to exist. The mess hall appeared completely normal, the place looked just as how you left it. Your Pokemon scampered off, probably either finding a place to bounce around, or simply lounge. Aizawa let go of the monkey, who scampered into your arms frightenedly, as he dragged himself to one of the many tables, pulling on a chair to seat himself. You followed his example, taking a seat opposite of him.
Opening up a plastic container, which sat atop the table, he presented them. He placed them on the table as nonchalantly as ever.
"You haven't ate right?" Aizawa picked up a pair of chopsticks, digging in on his own dinner. You slowly mimicked his action, taking a bite on the food that Aizawa bought for you. Aipom, peered over from your shoulder, which it refuge on, it's large hand-like tail swinging curiously.
"Thank you?" It was more of a question than a statement, as Aizawa ignored it, opting to eat more.
It was silent between you two, with the sounds of chewing reaching your ear. You felt a slight warmth at the teacher's attempt to try to company you, even though you should be fine on your own with the noisy creatures. Speaking of creatures, Aipom went to one of the empty seats beside you, while you went to get him a bowl of left-over snacks.
"This one doesn't shapeshift does it?" Aizawa eyes bore on the Pokemon, glaring at it with his tired-rugged out eyes. The monkey obliviously ate up the snack with his tail, munching happily.
"Not necessarily.." You sweatdropped, picking up your forgotten chopsticks. Eraserhead's eye gleamed red for a split a second, but stopped when nothing happen. "Did they bother-..?"
Aizawa gave a nonchalant shrug, "nope" , choosing to eat up the dinner in quick slurps. He gave the strange creature a look-over once more, the monkey still picking up the snacks with his flexible tail.
"He's amazing at his tail with climbing and stuff," you explained, figuring the pro-hero was curious, "but he's pretty bad with his hands." You gave a glance at the creature, which noticed your conversation, looking a bit offended. "It's true."
The monkey huffed, trying to pick up one of the pieces with its two paws, it took awhile before he was able to grasp on one of the cookie, before he tried to brought it up to his wide-open mouth, his hands shaking in jitters. Before it fell at the bowl once more. Cue a depressed monkey.
Aizawa rolled his eyes, as you gave the monkey a small pat on its head. "Um..how was your class?" You asked, trying to lighten the mood surrounding the dinner, while Aizawa gave a bland look.
"Nothing special."
"Really..? Don't you teach the hero course?" You asked dubiously. The most fascinated course across the nation, and it just happened to be nothing special. You gave him a challenging look, which he offers no reaction too.
"It's was a perfectly normal school day alright." He grunted, slurping up the fried noodles, which you still rolled your eyes too.
"Yeah. You didn't so happened to be asleep most of the time in the classes have you?" You wondered, feeling rather teasing at the moment. If Eraserhead was annoyed, he didn't show it, answering you bluntly.
"It too tiring."
Blinking in a surprise, you chuckled when a familiar boy you just met crosses your mind.
Aizawa noticed, leering at you. "What?"
"Ah, it's just.." You stopped your bites as well, finding yourself stifling an amused smile. "There was this guy at school that said something similar."
Aizawa stayed silent, observing you continue eating without a word. Both Mr.Aizawa and Shinsou really were similar, truly kind but acts like there not. Not to mention they both looked like they didn't sleep a wink.
You chortled. "You both kinda look alike now that I think about it!"
Aizawa could only sign in rather unamusement, watching you and the monkey joyfully laughing without a worry, as you didn't feel as nervous around the tired man that companied you that dinner.

3 months until U.A Entrance Exam
"You can brainwash people Shinsou?! Cool! Never heard of a quirk like that before."
The school was really close to ending, your middle school days were about to end just as quick as how it started. During the school year, you spent your time with Shinso, hanging out around lunch break and after school at times. After you exchanged numbers, you both got closer with each other, though he wouldn't exactly admit, you were becoming close friends.
Aizawa will visit you every now and then, either bright and early in the morning looking like a zombie, or at dinner with a box of take-out he had picked up before he went to the dormitory. Of course, it doesn't mean he likes the Pokemon that much.
You peered at the growing crowd around your close friend, unsure of the situation. During all the times you hanged out, quirks weren't the largest topics at hand. Both you and the purple-head never really brought up the topic, so it was never something that bothered you entirely. Sure there were times when either of you hinted your curiosity, only to be dropped a second later. You would respect his wishes, as he would for yours.
I guess today was the day the topic would be brought out. You peered curiously at the three students from the class next door, barging into the class without approval, walking towards Shinsou's direction. They never seemed to be so curious of your friend until now, as they crowded him.
"You could make all sorts of trouble with that!" The first student commented, humming to himself. "Not to mention, you'd never get your hands dirty."
"Just don't go try controlling us, okay?" One of the other classmates said, his comment caused you to unintentionally stare at the indigo-haired boy, who rubbed the back his head, staring at his tabletop with a rather forced smile.
He let out a small tired laugh, "everyone says that."
Noting his rather unhappy reaction, you frowned, standing up to shoo away the classmate. "Alright, I think you all should go back to you classes, it's almost time." You sternly reprimanded the students circling Shinso, the three students who were all chatting with him turned to you, scuttling off at your notice when they realized the time.
You looked worriedly over at the quiet boy, who refused to make eye-contact with you. About to place a small hand on his shoulders, the teacher came barreling in, starting the class.
Shinso refused to talk to you for awhile, he didn't give a glance in your direction when school ended, and quickly went off to the bike rack. You raced towards him, also taking your bicycle as you matched his pace.
"Hey Shinso..." You tried to pry, peering at the strangely silent boy. Sure he wasn't the most talkative person, but he wasn't exactly quiet. Thankfully he slowed down his strides, going on a much slower pace.
Shinsou let out a sigh, holding his bike in a tight grip. You tried to find the words, unsure if it was right to try to pry him to talk. Shinsou didn't look like he wanted to be bothered, but strangely it felt right to talk about in this moment.
"If this is about your quirk," you began, your voice trailing off when you notice Shinso tensing, his mouth curving to a small frown. "I want you to know th-"
"That it's very villain-like right?" Shinsou cut off, he spatted it out bitterly, looking a bit frustrated.
'Ah, so that's what he thinks.' You frowned at his response. Was that what your classmates been telling him.
"No, that it's really cool." You gave him a stern glare, keeping your voice steady at the emotional boy. He halted in his track, eyeing you in confusion. You stood your ground, as he stayed silent.
"Cool?" He voiced out, his eyes seemed surprise, widening in effect. You nodded, smiling slightly.
"It sounds really cool Shinsou. The ability to control other people just like that? That's amazing." You commented, taking small walks, the boy followed.
The boy was lost for words, choosing to stay silent, before you lit up like a Christmas tree, looking at him so fast that he jump slightly, excitedly holding your hands in cheers.
"It's kinda like ghost Pokemon you know?!" You seemed to light up at the thought. "There judged for who they are but truly, they can be really kind if you get to know them." You commented looking a bit lost in thought, walking thoughtfully.
"Ghost Pokemon?"
Whoops. Shinsou eyed you in confusion, as you stuttered to change the subject. "Well-uh, I'll tell you about that later! what you really should know is that you shouldn't care about what others think." You sternly reprimanded once more.
"Don't you hate the way people look at us." Shinsou asked, his voice still dripping with something you couldn't put, dropping the topic you tried to avoid. "Having a friend like me isn't great."
"What are you talking about, you've been a great friend." You answered truthfully. Shinsou looked at you doubtfully. "Whether you have a quirk that seems villainous, a quirk that makes you have 4 eyes, or even if your quirkless, you'll still my friend."
Shinsou face brightened to a light shade of pink, for he couldn't seem to look away from your glowing form. Your snow-hair tidily held by a cute hair tie, as you peered at him with your pretty (eye color) eyes. You gave him that sweet eye winning smile that comes out when your excitedly waiting in line for lunch, looking cherry and a bit playful. Was it strange that for some reason his heart beat raced all of sudden when his eye caught you today? looking away, eyeing down his bike, feeling an odd sense of uneasiness.
You blinked at his reaction, eyebrows furrowing, before you remembered something, nudging into the male with a small smirk.
"Besides, I'm sure it would be a great quirk for a hero." You drawled out, letting the words sink in with the purple-head boy. His face lighting up embarrassingly, as you avoided his eyes, staring up ahead.
"You knew." It was more of a statement than a question.
"It was hard not to." You admitted, chuckling to yourself at the sight of Shinsou watching the news in the small cafe just a few weeks ago, his eyes lighting up slightly if possible, watching as a hero captured a villain singlehandedly.
He finally let a small smile creep up, his mood taking a turn. Silence ensured between the both of you, as you both crossed the bustling street. Shinsou was trying to let everything sink in, as he bit his lips from time to time, thinking long and hard.
"(Last name)." He called out to you, who perked at his call. You gave him a side-eye glance which he noticed.
"Do you really think it's possible for me to be a hero?" He questioned, looking nonchalantly around the bustling city, a pinch of nervousness with the question he asked.
You gave him that sweet smile he couldn't look away from, and without hesitation you answered.
"Of course."
Those words burned into his mind, as he looked up to the sky in one could say satisfaction. He loosely smiled, happiness coursing in his heart, as for the first time, he felt something a little bit more different than he had before.
And finally the next chapter. Lately I've been trying to built the relationship further, without making it seem like love in first sight. Hopefully I'll be able to fit in more meetings with Shinso in the future, fufufu. Anyways, this story already got 100+ likes, and I'm very much surprised! I'll be sure to work hard in shaping this story. Thank you so much for you encouraging comments, they always make me smile. For the ones requesting some Pokemon, I'll gladly put them in, but I can't promise when they will come out, so I hope you all will be patient with me hehehe. Other than that, lots of thanks from me!
