Chapter 3
After the class got geared up in their gym clothes, plus a few items to help with quirks, they gathered in one of the training buildings. Terra had pulled her hair up in a ponytail. Deku smiled to himself when he noticed. She had always put up her hair when they did anything serious. Some things never change. Aizawa basically allowed them to run free once they were inside, though they all knew he'd be watching closely.
Bakugo used his explosions to throw himself into the air and he landed on a rock mass up above.
"Oi Terra! Come at me with everything you've got!" He taunted with a grin. His palms sparking with small explosions as he threw his arms wide in challenge.
Feeling like dealing with taunts by showing off a little, Terra tapped the ground with her shoe and two chunks of rock shot out of the ground. One they hit her outstretched forearms, they folded around her hands and became gauntlets, which she pounded together, making a loud sound. Most of this terrain was rock or dirt. She had a big advantage here.
"You ready for this?" She called up to the spiky haired boy. She glanced to their teacher, who only sighed and shook his head. It didn't look like he would stop them. So Terra refocused on her childhood friend. She crouched low to the ground and said, "Alright, here I come!"
She slid her foot into a wider stance. There was a brief pause and then rock spikes launched up from the ground at Bakugo. He jumped up, using explosions to keep himself away. Then she had the ground beneath her grow in his direction, taking her up to his level quickly. He fired of a decent sized blast at her. She stomped her foot lightly and a small wall jumped up in front of her to stop the blast. After the blast she kicked the stone, causing it to break and the force knocked it upwards. She punched it with her stone gauntlets while it was in air and sent it flying at Bakugo. It was large enough that most people in their class would have trouble lifting. The spiky haired boy leaped out of the way with ease and charged at Rikuto.
He gave a small explosion to punch out at her, something that she countered with her own fists, still covered in stone. She punched him in the stomach with her other fist, making him cough up air and fall back a bit.
"Whoa! She actually landed a hit!" Kaminari said in awe.
Midoriya had a hand to his lips as he watched and analyzed. "Yes she did, but Kacchan's reflexes should have been fast enough to block or dodge her hit."
"What do you mean? Did he let her hit him?" Sero asked in surprise.
"It seems like he's just trying to gauge her power before going all-out, ribbit," Asui noted.
"Really? That's not like him to hold back. He must really have a soft spot for her," Kirishima chuckled.
While Bakugo was staggered, another rock reached up from the ground and tripped him while Terra punched out again and knocked him to the ground. She stood over him to scold him.
"What the heck do you think you're doing? You'll hurt my feelings by not taking this seriously."
A grin spread across his face as he said, "Who said I'm not taking this serious? I just wanted to get you close."
Her eyes widened in surprise as he flipped his hand palm up. She flipped backwards and narrowly avoided getting blasted at close range. Its true, when it came to distance her rocks had a better chance of hitting him. He didn't really have a chance to sweat yet and couldn't use many built up blasts. Up close one of his normal blasts were enough to do real damage. Not to mention that up close he had reflexes that were superior to most. Rikuto dodged another blast and landed in a crouch on the ground.
"Stone prison!" she shouted. The ground around Bakugo trembled before for walls of stone shot up around him and formed a box, giving Terra another moment to think. At this rate, distance attacks would just make him sweat more. He'd have more of an advantage as the match went on. Her reflexes were pretty fast as well, maybe she should take her chances up close. She'd just have to make sure to prioritize not getting hit with an explosion rather than just attacking.
With a few loud explosions, Bakugo broke his way out of the stone box snarling, "Is that all you've got?"
"I'm just getting started!" she shouted back, stepping forward to meet him with an attack she raised her fist to punch and he raised his own to counter, but his flashed with preparation for an explosion, but at the same time two rocks with fists raised up to attack at the same time. He used both of his hands to blast them away and Terra took the opportunity to punch, which connected, but not enough to do much damage. He blocked her second attack as well as the next two stone hands that popped up. Terra widened her stance and four stone hands reached up.
"Dammit," he swore in annoyance. He aimed an explosion at the ground. The stone hands reached in front of Rikuto to block the blast and were destroyed by it. Bakugo used his upward momentum to get space. He was breathing heavy from dodging the multiple stone hands, but he laughed. "Thanks for the exercise! I'm ready for this now." He raised his grenade gauntlet covered hand and aimed it at her. "Say goodnight!"
Terra knelt down, her gauntlets crumbling before she pressed her palms into the ground. Shortly after two massive stone arms reached out of the ground, each one large enough to wrap around Bakugo's whole body. For a split second it was a standoff. This would be one of Bakugo's largest blasts. If it broke through the two large stone hands, it also likely reach her, or at least create an opening for him to attack her before she could make anything to take another blast. If it didn't break them, then the stone masses would be able to pin him or even take him out.
"Come on then you brat!" Bakugo shouted, "Let's just see who's quirk is stronger!"
"I won't lose!" She shouted back. Bakugo put his hand on the pin as the stone arms braced themselves. The whole class watched eagerly, the anticipation keeping them all on edge.
"That's enough!" Mr. Aizawa snapped at all of them. His eyes glowed and his hair stood up. He stopped their quirks, and parts of the stone hands crumbled. Everyone looked to him as he said, "Shouldn't you all be working on controlling your quirks like I told you? None of you should be slacking off. You do realize that Rikuto's presence here makes an odd number, and that it's very likely one of you will be moved to a lower level class or even expelled for the class to regain it's balance?" The class shouted in terrified surprise.
"Wh-What?! N-No way!" Mineta gasped with tears forming in his eyes.
"Then I suggest you all get to work," Aizawa grumbled, his hair taking it's usual messy form as Bakugo and Rikuto's quirks were restored.
Everyone wasted no time working on their quirk. Bakugo took to the air, working on controlling his blasts to keep him in the air longer and maneuvering smoother. Rikuto made eight smaller stone arms and focused on getting each of them to move at the same time as well as different directions. Each classmate was focused intently on their work.
Todoroki worked on different kinds of ice attacks and sliding along the ice to move. It was a practice he had done a million times, but still could improve on. He glanced over to Terra. Her rock spikes jumped up just like his larger ice attack, but she could also control it from there. He wondered how the two quirks would fair against each other.
"Alright class, we're done for the day. I just want to remind you that we have a field trip coming up soon. We'll be going somewhere with wider clearing so those of you with distance or spreading quirks will have room to do as you please," Aizawa said seemingly with little interest before dismissing the class.

Two dark figures stood alone in the night. One leaned against an old tombstone, keeping watch. The other was barely visible from the hole they were digging. The one above ground had a woman's figure. Her breath turned to wisps of fog in the cold night air. The vibration in her pocket got her attention and she pulled out her phone.
"Yeah?" she asked
"Is it done?" another woman's voice asked from the phone.
"Nearly. We've one or two more to go," the woman leaning on the grave responded.
"Good. Hurry up and get back here. The other preparations are almost complete."
"Will do," she responded before closing her phone. She looked up at the moon, a small crescent smiling in the sky. "Oh, this should be fun."
===== Author's Note: ======
Hello! Thanks if you've read this far! Do you have any recommendations for me? Are my chapters too long/short? Do you want more details? Are their characters that I'm not using enough that you'd like to see more of? Please let me know if there's anything I should fix!
Another quick note: Terra's quirk is not OP. She was just very much in her element. I'll explain a little bit more of how it works and reveal its weaknesses as we go!
PS : Not a lot was changed here, I just fixed the part where I messed up and a few spelling things. I should hopefully be able to add something new soon!n(7/15/19)
