Chapter 2

The next day Hermione woke up early in the morning to have breakfast alone. She hurried to the Great Hall and took a seat in the nearly empty Gryffindor table. After having eggs and bacon Hermione got up to walk out but Harry, Ginny and Ron were coming in. She tucked behind a group of Ravenclaws that where leaving and slid away next to Harry.

Hermione looked around for Draco, she peered into the Great Hall but didn't see him. She thought about the Library but he wasn't here either, so she rushed towards the Gryffindor common room which was empty. Quietly, Hermione crept upstairs to the boy's dormitory and looked into Harry's trunk. Both ears focused outside in case someone came upstairs. Like expected she found the Marauders Map, Hermione whispered 'I solemnly swear I'm up to no good'. And ink started to flow through the parchment of paper.

With a quick scan she realised Draco was in the Quidditch Pitch, they had just started practice. Hermione stuffed the Map back inside his trunk but then she heard talking outside. Without thinking twice she ducked under Harry's bed. It was full of socks and dust balls. She groaned but kept quiet.

Harry and Ron entered the room. "Mate, you want to go to the quidditch pitch?" Ron asked.

"Sure, let me check the Map." Said Harry. He picked it up. "Strange, I didn't have to say anything..." he whispered, Hermione breathed in quickly and cursed under breath at her stupidity. Ron walked over and scratched his head.

"Maybe someone was here?" he wondered.

"Maybe, but only Hermione, Fred, George, Remus, Sirius, my father and you know how to unlock it." Harry brushed it off and checked if the pitch was empty, he cursed after seeing the Slytherin Team and they decided to go to see Hagrid. Hermione sighed when Harry and Ron were behind the door. She waited for a while under the bed to make sure she wouldn't bump into anyone. Once everyone was quiet she made her way to the common room.

When Hermione reached the Great Hall she stood by the doors and looked at the quidditch pitch. Bundles of green were flying around. She could see Draco. With his beautiful blonde hair that she always wanted to run her fingers through. She took a deep breath in and started walk.

Hermione looked at the quidditch stadium towering over her. With another deep breath she went inside. Her shoulder were apart, chest out, head held high. Hermione walked through the pitch, past half of the team, and towards the middle of the pitch where Draco stood. Eyes of the Slytherin team followed her but she brushed it off like dust on her shoulder.

"Fine." She snapped when she was close enough for only Draco to hear.

"Fine what?" Asked Draco looking up from his broom.

"I'll do it." Hermione breathed out. Draco grinned when her words filled his ear, he placed his hand on her waist and kissed her. Hermione melted onto his lips, his arms were wrapped around her waist. When he finally pulled away the team was whistling, Draco was grinning and Hermione was as red as her tie.

She turned on her heel and, looking down, walked past the team, who was shouting complements and towards the exit. Before she slipped away she did something she had never done before, she raised her middle finger and pointed it at the team. Which only made them groan dramatically and laugh. On her way to the castle the memory of Draco kissing her filled her mind but then she heard her name. "Hermione!" Ron Yelled making Draco disappear.

Hermione turned around to see Harry and Ron walking back from Hagrid's hut. "Hi." She said disappointedly, she had hoped to not see them today. Specially not Harry.

"Why did you just came out from the quidditch pitch? Isn't the Slytherin team there?" Asked Harry. Without looking into his eyes Hermione answered him.

"Erm, Yeah, But I just wanted to ask something for the potions thing. I'm with Draco you see." She lied.

"Oh." Harry said awkwardly. They all walked in silence to the castle, Hermione rushed towards the library and said that she had to study. After a while of reading Hermione decided to go down for lunch. With a book on one side and the food on the other she took a seat in the gryffindor table, carefully not spilling anything on the book (and of course she had a charm cast on the book just in case). She began to eat and just like her stomach the Hall began to fill.

She was halfway through the second chapter of the book when the hall become too noise to read. So Hermione put her book aside and focused on her lunch.
...
Draco's side:

Draco woke up that morning with cheer running through his veins. He didn't know why though. It was a good feeling though. Like every other week he changed into his quidditch robes and grabbed his broomstick. After breakfast he made his way to the Quidditch Pitch with the rest of his team. Like every single quidditch practice the captain let out the snitch and Draco caught it. And again. And again. And all along Draco's smile didn't budge.

"Why are you so jolly?" Asked Zabini once again. Draco raised his shoulders because he didn't even know. The practice had ended and everyone was packing up when a figure with crazy brown hair appeared on the entrance of the pitch. Draco looked down at his broom and pretend to fiddle with it as the Gryffindor marched confidently towards him. His fellow team members began whispering in confusion.

"Fine." Hermione Snapped when she was a feet away from Draco.

"Fine what?" Asked Draco teasingly. Carelessly he looked up from his broom, his grey stormy eyes met her brown earthly ones.

"I'll do it." Hermione breathed out, she was red in the face and her mouth was a little opened. Draco grinned at her response and walked a little closer to her. She took a sharp breath, tensed and opened her eyes wider, he placed his hand on her waist and as she relaxed he kissed her. They melted into each other and Draco's arm found his way around her waist. When he finally pulled away the team was whistling and Hermione was panting gently. Draco was grinned and when Hermione realised what had happened she looked down and began to walk away.

He smiled at himself when the team cheered him on. Once he was changed and had his broom Draco went down to his common room to store it. He checked his tie in the mirror before making his way to the Great Hall with his gang.
