They devoured the cakes, icing somehow finding itself all over them. By the end they were a mess of laughter and icing.

"Now that we've made a mess, how about yall go and change into your pajamas while I clean this up. We're gonna have a game night!" Bella exclaimed,

The twins went upstairs to change so she began to clear the table, throwing out the boxes and putting the dishes in the washer. Softly humming to herself as she worked. Suddenly a dark flash flew in front of the window above the sink.

She looked out the window, nothing. She brushed it off and went back to cleaning. Suddenly there was a burning in her chest, and a memory surfaced. One she had tried so hard to forget,

" Bella was in a dorm room, where she was being harassed by two girls, a brunette and redhead. They all were exasperated, as they had barged into her room without knocking.

"Belle, come on! We were summoned we have to go." The brunette drawled, Ellie.

"I'll meet you guys there," a younger Bella replied, she looked disheveled, her hair askew and clothes messy. Looking about twenty two.

"Ugh fine, but if they get mad it's on you. Make sure to clean up before the meeting. " the short redhead warned, Gracie.

"Thanks mom," Bella retorted sarcastically, pushing them out the door, "Now get out,"

Finally they left her in the room alone, she let a sigh of relief.

"Ax, come on out they're gone." She said into the open air.

A man stepped out of her closet, his red hair disheveled and a stupid grin on his face. His kind brown eyes shone with warmth as she called his name. She walked to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, and he placed his on her waist.

"I love you," she whispered, leaning into him,

"I love you too," he answered. They shared a sweet kiss.

"This is so wrong on so many levels for me, I am breaking so many rules," Bella giggles out, placing her head on his shoulder as they swayed to imaginary music.

"You aren't the only one, Luci would have my head if he found out." He chuckled,

"What are we going to do? If they find us we're dead" She whispered, sadness lacing her voice,

"We'll stay together, the others can cut me apart as much as they want and I will always come back to you." He replied, kissing her forehead.

"If we get caught we're not the only ones in danger anymore." She said nervously, looking him in the eyes.

He looked at her confused, she placed a hand on her stomach. He understood and grew wide eyed. She looked a bit fearful at his reaction, but a huge grin broke out on his face. He picked her up and spun her around,

"This is great! I'm going to be a father!" He exclaimed, the already huge grin swelled, threatening to break his cheekbones.

She smacked his arm lightly,

"Shhh, do you want them to hear you?" She laughed out,

"So what? What are they going to do?" He said, "They touch you, any of you, and I'll kill them."

"That's not how this works, if they find out we'll both be dead." She replied, she knew better than anyone what they'd do if they found out, and it chilled her to the bone." Bella was pulled out of her memory when Sol called her name.

"-om!" He shouted, exasperated.

"Yeah, yeah I'm here. Just old, what's up?" She replied,

"Selene wants to show you her painting now," He said,

"Lead the way," Bella answered,

Sol spun on his heel, heading towards the basement door. She followed him down the stairs, staring at the murals that lined the walls. As they walked the murals became more familiar, in an odd way. She recognized faces and beings in the pictures, but kept a straight face for the sake of her children.

Sol lead her to a tarp, under which Selene was fumbling with something.

"Lene we're ready," Sol called,

"Kay," Selene replied, she pulled the tarp off the wall.

It was a painting of two beings, one bright purple seemingly made of light, a stone buried in her chest and two angel wings were on her back, the other had a scheme of red and black and looked as if he was made of fire, horns protruded from his head and leathery bat wings stuck out from his back. The figures were touching palms, where they met a sun and moon was there. Bella's breath hitched,

"Where did you see this?" She questioned, an unusual abrasiveness to her voice.

"Um, it was in my dream. Sol has been having them too." She replied, "Why?"

Their mother took in a sharp breath. The stone was searching for another host, the only remaining children in her blood line. They couldn't hide any longer, if they did their lives would be in even more danger when the legion found them. She let loose a shaky breath,

"Okay, this is fine. Everything is fine." She repeated like a mantra, the thought of seeing them again plagued her mind. Fear mixed with want swirled in her eyes, deep down she truly missed them.

The twins looked startled, finally Sol had the guts to speak.

"Mom what is wrong? What's going on?"

"There is so much you don't know and I wish you didn't have to learn, but it is important. Just, don't think less of me when I tell you, they must be after you." She breathed,

"Who? Who is after us?" Selene said in a small voice,

In the same tone their mother replied,
"The Light Legionnaires,"
