Choi Aera was doing her paperwork, earphones plugged in her ear. Hairs dancing with the breeze of wind.

She was in her early 20s. The sound of scratching pencil against the paper could be heard from time to time.

She was so focused in her work that a cat came by her side and she didn't even know.

"Meow. " The cat mewled.

Still didn't heard it as she continued to do her own business.

But all of a sudden her eyebrows scrunched as she didn't feel the music through her earphones. She looked beside her and saw the earphones in the cat's paw.

The cat had big doe eyes and it was so adorable. It looked at Aera with sad eyes not getting enough attention.

"Give me my earphones back. " She asked nicely but the cat shook it's head.

"Wait, can you understand me? " She asked as the cat nodded.

"Wait. You're a cat right? " She asked again only to get another nod from the cat.

She was shocked to get that reaction from an animal. Especially a cat.

She pulled the cat in her lap and patted it's back, caressing the silky light brown fur.

The cat seemed to enjoy it as it yawned. She kept on caressing until the cat was fully asleep.

She placed the cat on the bench carefully, swaying her bag on her back she then left for her home.

"Home! " She shouted as she entered through the door.

"I've already prepared launch. " Soobin shouted back from the kitchen.

"Aigoo, my little brother is so adorable. Come here. " Aera said giggling as she ruffled Soobin's hair.

"Oh come on pouty. I'll cook next time. Promise. " She again said and Soobin nodded.

They finished their launch and after that they both went to their individual rooms.

She washed her face and picked a dress before stripping her clothes and wearing the new one.

She looked back as she heard a knock. She went to the door but no one was there. She heard another knock.

"Wait, what? " She approached her window and saw the same cat with whom she met at the park.

She opened the window and let that cat inside. She sat on the bed watching the cat roaming around.

"How did you find my house? " She asked the cat knowing that it understood her.

The cat looked at her boringly.

"Oh I see. You can't talk. " Aera told the cat and it nodded.

Then it jumped on the bed and again made itself comfortable in Aera's lap.

"Oh you're here to sleep again? " She asked and as usual it nodded.

Yawning again the cat fell asleep. Aera giggled as she lean on the bed, resting.

A few hours passed as Soobin was passing through the door when he saw her noona sleeping, holding a cat.

He came closer as he thought it was a stuffed toy but when he touched it's tail it roared.

"Oho! I thought you were a doll. " Soobin said caressing his nape.

Aera rubbed her eyes at the sudden tiny roar and saw the cat already awoke.

"You slept well? Goyang-i? " Aera asked and the cat nodded.

"Wait it can understand our language? " Soobin asked as his hand reached to touch the cat but the cat gave a scratch, sticking it's tongue.

"Ouch! " Soobin said shocked.

"It seems like it doesn't like you. " Aera laughed.

"You don't like me? " Soobin asked the cat gave a 'does-it-look-like-I-do' look.

It's face was enough for them to understand. His reactions were powerful than words.

"Woah- Okay. I'm leaving. " Soobin said leaving the room, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Oh shoot! " Aera looked at the clock.

"It's already 10 pm? How am I supposed to sleep after the sleep I got right now? " She asked and the cat looked at her.

She got up from her bed and went to the bathroom but when she returned she didn't find anyone. The cat was gone.

She sighed as she started to work on her new design.

Next morning, she packed her stuffs and bid her parents along with her brother a goodbye and got off to work.

"Oh Aera, you here? " Siwoon asked and Aera nodded.

"Well, then let me inform you that someone new joined our team. " Siwoon said.

"Who's- "

"Hello, I'm Min Yoongi and I'll be working in your team from now on. " A boy came as he bowed and looked at Aera with a smile.

"Do you know him? " Siwoon asked.

Aera shook her head as confusion filled in her face. He was sure looking at her like she was someone whom he knew. But she didn't know him. How was that possible?

She shook her thoughts as she went to her work. But she didn't know that Yoongi also followed her.

She stopped on her table and Yoongi did the same too. She turned on her heels only to see Yoongi so close. A small gasp left her mouth.

"Umm....Do you need anything? " She asked.

"Do you know me, Aera? " He asked but Aera shook her head.

"How do you know my name? " Aera asked back but no response.

He looked at her with his sad doe eyes. Those eyes was so adorable.

'Wait I saw this face somewhere! '
She thought.

"See you then. " And with that Yoongi left.

"Weird. " She mumbled as she went through her paperworks.

Finishing her work near at 5 o'clock, she left for home. But before she could get home she was met by the same cat.

"Oho! Where you vanished yesterday? " She asked and the cat looked at her for a few moments for God knows why.

"Don't forget to eat before you go today. Okay? " She offered and the cat titled it's head in agreement.

She found it adorable as she picked the cat up and went straight to her home.

Getting to home she gave the cat some fish and milk but the cat pushed the pot, not interested in eating.

"You won't eat? " She asked and it shook it's head

"Umm.... Then? " She started to think when she saw the cat staring at the meat.

"Ah! So you want that? " She asked as she got a desperate nod from the cat.

She giggled, getting the food for it.

The cat started to yawn before finishing it's food.

"Look how sleepy you are! " She exclaimed picking it up with her and going to her room but the cat jumped from her embrace and ran to the bathroom.

"You pee inside the bathroom? " She raised her eyebrow looking at the cat but the cat embarrassingly mewled turning back at her.

"You're not a normal cat are you? " She asked and the cat looked at her, without any emotion.

"Okay now. Let's sleep. " She said as she already laid in her bed. The cat also found its way to her bed and cuddled her.

After some time, Aera was asleep but the cat kept itself awake. It was looking at Aera. So fondly. 

"Yeah, I'm not a normal cat. " The voice ringed in Aera's ear as she sat up, only to realize that it was morning.

"What was that? " She asked herself after hearing the voice.

"You okay? " The door busted open, revealing Soobin.

Aera nodded but her face was telling the whole different story of her not being fine.

However, Soobin nodded and left. Aera also left her bed, getting ready for the work.

Getting to her work she went straight to her table and became busy scribbling on her page but the same voice again ringed in her ears,
"Yeah, I'm not a normal cat. "

She looked back but no one was there. Only Yoongi was standing at the corner of the room, looking at her with the same doe eyes.

Doe eyes?

She got up from her seat and went to Yoongi and asked,
"Who are you? Do I know you? "

He just nodded before leaving.

"Don't go! " Aera said but Yoongi just looked at her and said,
"See you later. "

She wasn't feeling right about letting him go. But he was a complete stranger. How could she feel that way?

She took a short leave and went home saying she was feeling sick. She was sick indeed.

She opened the door of her room only to get greeted by the cat. That same cat.

Her tears fell for an unknown reason. She didn't even know why she let her tears fell for the cat.

But the cat was looking somehow similar. She went near the cat and took it in her hands.

"Wait are you wearing a freaking headband and a glass? " Aera asked shocked and the cat just nodded.

"But you look like- " She was about to say but she gasped when the magical thing just happened in front of her eyes.

"Yeah, I'm not a normal cat. " The cat said which was turned into Yoongi?

"Y-Yoongi? " She shuttered and Yoongi nodded.

"I'm the cat. " Yoongi said looking at her.

"Wait how on the earth- "

"Should I explain? " Yoongi asked and Aera nodded not sure if she was ready to hear that.

"I was a hybrid cat when I was born. We had the speciality to adopt another creature's attitudes. But somehow I got lost from my family and ended up here. In Daegu. " Yoongi paused to see her reaction.

He then again continued,
"A family adopt me as a pet but because of that speciality of being a hybrid, I started to adopt human attitudes and characters. And now. I'm a half cat and a half human. Well, you can say I can turn into both. I'm a Neko. "

Aera just nodded trying to match every pieces like a puzzle.
"Oh! That's why these two faces were.... Were adorable and similar! " She said picturing his human face and cat face together in her mind.

She gasped as she asked,
"Wait. Don't tell me that you saw me changing my dress. "

"Of course I did. You also saw me peeing. Fair play. " Yoongi said as if it wasn't a big deal.

"You pervert! " Aera shouted throwing sandals but Yoongi was fast to catch the sandals.

"I'm not a pervert. I'm just madly in love with you. " Yoongi confessed.

"We just met- "

"We did meet before. But you didn't know me back then. " Yoongi said.

"Oh.... But if I love you will I also turn into a cat? " Aera asked, unsure.

"Nope you will be a human forever. But if we have kids, the gene will pass. " Yoongi said smiling already thinking about the future. His cat ears still visible.

"Who talks about kids at their first meet? "

"Min Yoongi does. " Yoongi answered instantly turning into a cat again and yawning before making himself comfortable in Aera's lap for a good sleep.

Aera also didn't complain much as she liked the idea of them being together and have a future.

So, she slowly started to caress Yoongi's fur. 

This is the only thing Yoongi searched for his entire life, a warm embrace for sleep, soft strokes on his fur to help him sleep.

"Sleep well, goyang-i....Don't worry I'm not leaving you. " Aera smiled.
