~My Perspective~

It's been a few hours since our close call with the Super Shredder. I've been feeling nothing but fear and anxiety. It was making me lose sleep more and more each minute and hour that passes by. Every time I try to sleep, the nightmares kept getting worst and worst. And the weight of it all was being placed right on my shoulders.

Not only that, but I also sacrificed myself to save Splinter's life as well. But it cost me to have a broken leg. One day, I was in my room being cared for by my father, my mother, Aika, Leo, and Midnight.

"My poor baby girl." my father John said as he was rubbing my paw while glancing at the large cast over my right leg. "You risked your own life to save Yoshi. And you didn't even put yourself first when the moon was t up in the sky that night."

I sniffled because I was in pain. "Y-Yeah. I know that. How is he?"

"Don't worry sis. He's okay. We just finished taking care of him for now. He fell asleep due to the medicine and the tea." Aika reassured me while holding my other paw.

"We're just so grateful that he's gonna be okay. But Donnie said that he's gonna be placed in a wheelchair. He's been paralyzed from the waist down. And that stab wound will most likely scar." Midnight added as he was getting my medicine and tea ready.

"I guess that means he can't be our main sensei anymore." I looked down as I took my meds and drank the tea slowly.

"Not exactly. We've actually discussed about this before everything went down." my father said. "He said that Leonardo will be the new sensei."

"W-What? Leo as the new sensei? But, he's already got more then just enough responsibility for all of us. Even our kids. This is just too much of a burden for him." I dried my eyes with my tail.

"I know this won't be very easy for everyone here, but it's the way that things are my daughter. And Leo will do great at being the new sensei."

"I hope so." I looked at Leo who was coming into the room with the twins just waddling alongside him. "Leo?"

"Don't worry love. I'm here for you." he held my paws. "I'm still very very grateful that you saved Sensei. I truly have the best future waifu ever." he kissed my paws.

Dreamer peeked out from right behind Leo's legs. "Is mama okay?"

I looked down at her and smiled. "Yes my beautiful Dreamer, mama will be okay." I pet her head.

"Mama lookie!" Bart said as he showed me a paper with crayon scribbles. "Card."

"Ooh, what is this?" I said as I held the paper and took a closer look at it.

My dad held the twins and placed them near me on the side of the bed. "What is this my grandchildren?" he asked them.

"Card for mama." Dreamer giggled.

Bart pointed out the picture. "This me, dweam dweam, daddy, mama, and grampy."

"A little get well card." Aika smiled.

I smiled. "Aww, kids. I love this. This will help mama feel better a lot." I gave both of my kids a kiss on their cheeks. "Both of my little artists are taking after me." I said as I took a picture of it with my phone. "This is going into the scrapbook."

"It sure is." Leo smiled.

"And on the refrigerator later on." Midnight said as he puts the card on my nightstand.

"Hey sis." Aika started. "Mikey told me to bring this for you so you won't feel so bored healing for the next 6 weeks." she said as she had a basket full of yarn, art supplies, and dramatic romance novels.

"Aww. Mikey's really thoughtful. He's gonna have a big dinner after I feel better."

Aika giggled. "And don't worry about the twins. I'll help out Leo with whatever he needs." she said as she held Bart.

"I appreciate it Aika." I looked at Leo, and then my anxiety was closing in on me. My thoughts of the Super Shredder killing our family members one by one was making me feel really really uncomfortable. It made me shake my head and hug myself.

"Are you okay?" Midnight asked me.

"Not really... I don't feel so safe anymore."

"Why's that hone?" Leo sat next to me. "Talk to us."

"I don't feel so safe with the Super Shredder and his cronies hunting us. I have a really bad feeling that our battle with him isn't finished yet." I said as I hugged him. "I feel like the only way for all of us to be safe is that you guys can take him down."

"That is a possibility that he is still alive." John nodded.

"You're probably right sis." Aika agreed.

"I think that it is best that if you all take the Super Shredder down once and for all. Before more lives are put at risk."

"But..." Leo protested.

"Leo honey, Look at me." I turned his head so he can look at me. "We can't hide any longer. You're the leader and the new Sensei, and I know that you can lead all of us into victory."

"But... what if I fail..?" he looked down.

"You won't fail us my love. Look where are standing at right now. We're all still here because of you. And you've never failed us. There will be things that may seem impossible, but it's very possible with you. Till death do us part, you will win."

"You know what? You're right. What would I do without your words of wisdom?"

"Umm... I'm not gonna answer that." I let out a nervous laugh.

"Okay. And don't worry, we will beat the Shredder once and for all. And when all of this is over, we can finally be wed."

My father sniffled. "I'm getting so old and my baby is not a baby anymore. You kids grow up way too fast."

"Here grampy." Dreamer said as she gave her grandpa a hanky.

"Just like your mother Dreamer. Thank you." he said as he blew his nose into the hanky.

"You're both pretty young to get married." Aika said.

"Not really Aika child. As a mermaid, you can get married with the boy you love at any age. You only live once, am I right?" my mother giggled as she walked in.

"YOLO." Midnight laughed.

I giggled. "Yeah. You and dad both got married at a young age too right mom?"

"That's right. I married your father when I was 18 years old. But for you my child, you're turning into the same age that I was married in. It's a wonderful age to get married at 18."

"Thanks mom." I smiled at her and looked back at Leo. "I can't wait until we can tie the knot very soon."

"Me neither."

I started to yawn as the medicine and the tea was kicking in. "Mmm... I'm tired."

"Okay honey. We'll do some training while you take your rest." Leo said as he laid me down.

"Thank you honey..." I yawned again and felt myself being tucked in.

"Mama go night night." Dreamer said to everyone as she was helping Bart tuck me in and patted the bed twice like I always did to them.

"What is it with patting the bed twice after tucking them in sis? You always do it to them when it's naptime or bedtime for the twins." Midnight asked.

"It's like a little magic spell to make sure you have sweet dreams." I said sheepishly. "My mom did that to me when I was little."

"Shh." Dreamer hushed everyone.

"Night night." Bart said as he kissed my cheek.

"Night night mama." Dreamer also kissed my cheek.

"Thank you children... I'm so lucky, to have you both too..." I said as I was falling into a very deep sleep with a smile on my face.
