7. Offers

Living with the turtles had been great! Shelter. Food. Sleep. A family. Everything I could possibly wish for.

The turtles and I came back from another mission, successful as usual.

"Booyakasha Boy!! Did you see the look on their faces!! " Mikey exclaimed, happy with his victory.

"Good job team." Leo praised us all.

All the turtles retreated to their rooms, or in Donnie's case, the lab.

"Leo!" I called before he entered his room. He turned to face me. "What's up Breeze?" He asked. "I was just wondering if I could go up top, I know we just got back. But I just wanna stay out there for a little. I-is that ok?" I asked nervously.

I needed to spend time alone in the cool air of New York City, like I used to.

"Well, I don't know. . . " He trailed off. "I'll be careful!" I rapidly said, basically pleading. There was silence between us for a little while.

"Ok fine. But be back in 30 minutes, ok?" He demanded. "Will do!" I saluted and flew to the exit. "Thanks Leo!" I said before I left, he nodded while smiling and went into his room.

I made my way out of the sewers and flew to a rooftop. Everything was perfect, the cool air, the black sky, the bright moon. Perfect.

Until. . .

Something wasn't right.

There were movements in the air. I could sense it.

I rapidly spun around, only to find a few foot bots surrounding me. "This night just got a whole lot better!" I smirked, readying myself for battle.

"Oh it did." I heard a voice nearby. My eyes searched the area frantically for the source of sound.

Then a figure appeared form the shadows. A girl. She wore black clothing with armour on her chest arms and legs. She had black short hair, blonde at the back. And by the looks of things she had a weapon on her lower back.

"Who are you?!" I demanded. "My names, Karai. I didn't come here to fight, I simply want to talk." She explained calmly. I shifted a little in my position. "I have an offer to make you." She said. "Hah! Yeh, as if I'm gonna take up your offer! You're foot! I. Don't. Trust. Foot." I said firmly.

"Well then I guess we just have to do this the fun way! The hard way, but the fun way!" She said, going for her weapon. "Foot. ATTACK!" She ordered.

They all simultaneously jumped at me. I swung my kunai around piercing through almost half of them.

They were getting too close for my comfort. I flew up.

With the flick of my hand I sent more foot bots flying backwards. They were all down, now it was just Karai and me.

I lowered myself, still hovering, but only centimetres off the rooftop. Face to face with Karai.

"You're good." She said, impressed. I smirked. She lunged at me with her mini katana. I blocked, holding the pointy end of my kunai. I pushed her back. "A kunai, skilful weapon, but do you possess the skill?" She taunted. "Let me show you!" I retorted back.

I flung the kunai at her, the weapon flying at a marvellous speed. But she deflected it with the katana. It fell to the floor.

She ran at me, katana first. Using my training from Leo, I shifted a little in my stance and prepared myself. When she was close enough I swung around and kicked the katana straight out of her hands.

Now we were both weaponless.

She charged me, throwing kicks and punches. I blocked most, unable to land my own hits.

I pushed her back with my powers, that didn't stop her.

I started flying off, my flight unstable from my lack of concentration. I know it was cowardly, but I was freaking out! My enemies are down in the blink of an eye. Karai was still standing.

Before I knew it I was being pulled back to the rooftop. I turned and found my own kunai wrapped around my ankle.

Karai threw this powder substance at my eyes, blurring my vision, badly. Before I could register what happened and consider my next move I was kicked in the head, knocking me out.

General Narration

"Leo? Where's Breeze?" Ralph asked. "She's out- oh no. She's still gone!" Leo replied back starting to worry.

"Leo? What do you mean?" Raphael questioned, narrowing his eyes on his older brother.

"I-I let her go topside. She wanted some time alone. Up top." Leo explained nervously. "YOU LET HER GO TOPSIDE?!" Raph yelled.

"I told her to be back in 30 minutes." Leo rapidly said, trying to calm his brother. "And how long has it been?!" Raph asked.

Leo looked at his T-phone. "47 minutes." Leo replied back with a worried look.

Raph just stared at his brother furiously. He looked like he was about to tear the whole lair down!

Raph was breathing deeply trying to calm himself. Once he, surprisingly, regained control of himself he spoke again.

"We need to save her, she's in trouble and she needs our help." Raph said taking charge.

He shoved his brother to the side as he walked forward heading to Mikey's room. He slammed his fist on the door twice.

"Mikey! Get up. We've got a mission." He ordered. "Aww man!! I was just about to watch the next episode of 'Super Robo Mecha Force Five'!" Mikey whined. "I don't care! Get up. . . NOW!" Raph demanded.

Raph then headed to Donnie's lab after Mikey rushed to the door after Raph's outburst.

He poked his head through, "Don, we're heading topside to rescue Breeze. Now." Raph explained firmly. "Fine, just let me put this experiment away." He sighed, unhappy with the interruption of his experiment.

All the turtles were finally in the main room. While Raph was getting his brothers, Leo had informed Splinter of what was going on.

"Ok we go topside, search for any signs of Breeze or what's happens to her. Then we rescue her." Raph explained.

"Uhhh dudes, when did Raph become leader? I don't remember voting for him?" Mikey asked. "MIKEY!!" Raph yelled impatiently. "Ok ok ok Raph's leader." Mikey quickly said putting his hands up in front of him.

"Temporarily." Leo added.

Raph rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He said, wanting to get on with the plan.

"Does everyone understand what we're doing?" Raph asked. All his brothers nodded their heads in unison.

They all headed towards the turnstiles and left to save Breeze.

Breezes POV

I awoke in a dark building. Not run down. Just dark.

I was about to stand. But something was restraining me from doing so. I looked behind me. I was tied to the ground by a chain that went around my wrists.

Now if that were rope, no problem. But it's metal. I've got a problem.

But I still tugged and pulled at the chain. Until doors opened.

I shrunk back down and awaited to see who it was.

The figure left the dark shadows and I could finally see him. A tall man wearing black pants and boots with silver armouring. He had silver armour all over his chest. And a metal helmet covering all but his eyes. He also had metal weapons on both his hands. As well as a black cape.

I crawled backwards. Frightened. I've never been frightened in my life! But this dude gave me the chills.

"Breeze is it?" He asked. I nodded timidly. "I am the Shredder. And I am offering you a place with the foot clan and I." He explained.

I just stared at him not knowing what to say. "I will give you a short time to think about it. This offer will. . . Expire soon enough. I suggest you think quickly. Or else we'll have to resort to alternative procedures. I'm sure you can figure out what happens if you refuse." He said deeply.

I didn't know what to do. If I refuse I get tortured. But if I accept, who knows what sort of life I'd be living under his control, and most importantly, I'd be betraying the turtles.

The ones who opened their home to me after knowing each other for such a short time.
