Jimena Training with Sensei

~The next morning in Jimena's Perspective~

I woke up the next morning in Donnie's arms, I smiled at him and gave him a kiss before I left to use the bathroom. After I finished freshening myself up in the small bathroom, I walked over to the dojo.

After I walked through the sliding doors of the dojo, I saw Sensei there. It looked like he was meditating or sleeping. I sat in front of him feeling a little rude, saying that I might make some noise and that he might get mad. So I got up and was about to leave the dojo.

~Sensei's Perspective~

As I was meditating, I heard footsteps wandering away from me. I knew it was Jimena, so I called her. "Jimena."

"Eek!" she squealed in surprise.

"You may sit down my dear child." I said as I opened my eyes.

I witnessed Jimena coming over next to me and sitting down across from me. I gave her a warm smile because she was going to start her training today.

"I'm sorry that I interrupted you Sensei. I didn't know that you were awake. I thought that you were sleeping." Jimena bowed her head to the ground.

"It's alright Jimena. I always wake up early so that I could meditate. It clears my mind."

As I was speaking to her, she trailed off. I saw what she was looking at, she was looking at my tail. As she tried to grab it, I gently patted her hand with it.

"Eek!" she squealed.

I smiled warmly. "You have to be alert with the things around you."

"Okay Sensei."

"A ninja always has to stay alert when the enemy attacks."

"Okay." she said as she got up.

I got up too and went to the practice weapon compartment. I took out 2 wooden swords, 1 for Jimena and 1 for myself. I went back over to her and gave her the sword. She looked pretty curious when she got the sword.

"A ninja is always prepared to fight when the enemy approaches."

I watched as she was trying to hold the sword whichever way she can, but she was having trouble with it. I came over to her and helped her hold her sword the proper way. "There you go. Hold it the way I'm holding it." I explained as I showed her how I hold mine.

She copied my way I'm holding my sword and looked at me. "Thank you."

"You're welcome. Now, observe the moves that I make and you try it." I said as I started swinging my wooden weapon in every move I could possibly make it easier for Jimena to follow. After I finished, I looked at her. "No it is your turn."

She started swinging her weapon the way I was swinging my own weapon. After she finished, she looked at me. "Did I do it right?" she asked me.

I smiled and nodded my head. "Yes my child. Keep practicing with it. Remember, a ninja always practice so they could perfect it. And when the move is perfected, they could use the move during combat with the enemy."

"Okay." she smiled and started practice swinging again.

~About 2 hours later in Jimena's Perspective~

During that time, I've learned how to be stealthy in the shadows, dodge the attacks, and punching and kicking. But I still didn't know how to use a weapon. I looked up to Sensei who was in deep thought, and he glanced back at me.

"I think it is time that you should choose a weapon." Sensei said with a smile.

"Yay!" I cheered. "But..." I trailed off. "How do I use the weapon?" I asked him.

"I will show you how to use it first, and then you will give it a try. You choose the weapon when the weapon chooses you." he explained.

"Oh. Okay." I nodded my head.

~The first weapon~

He brought out a spiky ball on a stick. "Try this, it might be a little heavy for you."

(The mace)

"Okay." I said. I tried my best to pick it up. And when I did, I fell back with it and fell on my back. "Ouchie!"

~The next weapon~

(The Chigiriki)

Sensei gave me a stick with a chain flowing out of it. It was also called a Chigiriki. I swung it around, but it slipped out of my hands and onto the floor.

"Ugh..." I sighed.

~The next next weapon~

(The Scythe)

Sensei gave me a stick with a blade at the end. It was called a Scythe. I started swinging it around but it flew out of my hands and onto the tree.

"Nyah..." I sighed again.

~The next next next weapon~

(The Jitte)

Sensei gave me 2 little knives with pokers at the middle. They were called the Jitte. I stabbed the punching bag with it and I ended poking myself with it.

"Owie!" I squealed.

~The next next next next weapon~

(The Axe)

Sensei gave me an axe. It was just an axe. I was swinging it around and I accidentally cut off a wooden sword.

"Dammit!" I sighed once more.

~An hour later~

(Other weapons she tried to use)

I tried out every weapon that Sensei had given me, but things weren't going the way I wanted it to go. I sighed as if all the weapons I've tried out hated me for my ninjutsu actions. "I'll never find my weapon..." I frowned as I looked at the ground.

"Hmm..." Sensei thought. "I think I may have just the thing. Wait here." Sensei said as he went into his room.

"Okay..." I laid on the ground and looked at the ceiling. 'I wonder what weapon I'll try next...' I thought to myself. 'Maybe just my bare hands...' I sighed.

I saw Sensei coming back. And he had what looked like a Japanese fan. "Jimena. This is a Tessen, just like April's Tessen." he said.

(The Tessen that looks like April's Tessen)

"It's beautiful."

"And watch this." he threw it against the tree and the tessen was sticking itself to the tree like a spitball.

"I guess I found my weapon." I smiled. "Thank you Sensei, for helping me." I hugged him.

"You're welcome Jimena. I'm glad you're with us." he hugged me back with a smile. "You may keep practicing."

"Hai Sensei." I smiled.

And so, I've found my weapon and I'm loving it. During the rest of the day, I've practiced and practiced and practiced so that I could be as good as everyone else in my family of ninjas.
