~The next morning in My Perspective~

I was still asleep in Leo's bed. As I was sleeping, I was twisting and turning having a nightmare about my past. I was moaning uncontrollably. "No... No..." I mumbled in my sleep. I was trapped in the horrific nightmare, watching as Red Claw was going to kill me.

(Red Claw in my nightmare!)

And when he did, I screamed. "No!!!" I panted heavily as tears ran down my face. I heard footsteps coming from the door fast and Leo barged in the room.

"Aqua! Are you okay?!" he asked frantically. He saw my face filled with tears and came over to me. "Did you have a nightmare Aqua?"

I sniffled and nodded my head slowly. "It was about Red Claw killing me. And that you guys didn't show up in time to save me from him."

"Aqua... It's going to be okay. No one's going to hurt you and I promise that nothing will happen to you." he said.

"You promise?" I asked.

"I promise, even if it kills me."

I smiled and hugged him. I blushed because I felt him hugging back. This felt new to me since I hadn't hugged anyone else but Murakami-San, but I liked the feeling of him hugging back. I wagged my tail a bit and kept hugging him. I pulled away and smiled at him.

He smiled too. He was about to say something until his stomach growled. He blushed a bit. "Oops..."

I giggled. "Was that your stomach?"

"Yeah." he blushed more.

"It's okay." I giggled and my stomach growled loudly which made me cover it up while blushing. "Uh oh. I guess I'm hungry too."

He chuckled. "Let's go have something to eat."

"Okay."

He helped me out of bed and together we walked out to the kitchen. I sat down on a stool near the table. He looked at me and smiled. "So what do you wanna eat?"

(The kitchen)

"Hmm... I don't know. Surprise me."

"Okay." he said as he was taking out the ingredients from the fridge. "This might take a few minutes."

"It's okay. I'll just meditate, watch TV, or probably go for a swim." I answered.

"Okay." he smiled.

I got up from my seat and walked into the living room. I sat on the couch and found the remote. I turned on the TV and started watching my favorite show Gravity Falls. "Ooh! It's my favorite episode!" I smiled.

(Gravity Falls the show)

"What favorite episode?" Mikey asked as he was coming into the living room.

"Oh. Morning Mikey. I'm watching Gravity Falls and this is the episode when Mabel meets a merman named Mermando. I loved this episode."

"Cool. Can I watch it with you?"

"Sure."

He sat on the beanbag chair next to me and we both watched the episode together. A while later when the episode was ending, we saw Mermando kissing Mabel.

"Aww!" Mikey said happily. "That would totally be you and Leo."

"What? No way! He's not even a merman! I'm the mermaid wolf while he's the humanoid turtle." I said as I was blushing.

He chuckled. "It still wouldn't matter."

I blushed deeply at the thought of me and Leo, kissing. It clouded my mind just thinking about it. 'Great, now that thought's stuck in my mind.' I pouted.

"Breakfast is ready!" I heard Leo calling out.

"Ooh breakfast! Let's go!" Mikey said as he grabbed my arm and dragged me to the kitchen. "What's for breakfast Leo?"

"Eggs and bacon." he said.

"No toast?" I asked.

"The toaster hates Leo." Mikey said.

"Mikey!" Leo pouted.

"What? It does!"

"Alright guys, stop bickering. I'll do the toast." I said as I grabbed some bread and put it in the toaster. A while later, I laid out 6 pieces of toast with butter on everyone's plate.

(Yummy breakfast)

"Good job Aqua. You did it better than Leo." Mikey smiled.

"Hey don't make fun of him."

"Fine. Sorry bro." he apologized.

"It's cool Mikey." Leo accepted.

I smiled and took my seat. I ate the good food while I was wagging my tail. As I was eating, I was thinking about what Mikey said about me and Leo kissing. It caused me to blush a lot like a tomato.

Leo looked at me. "Hey Aqua. Are you okay?" he asked.

I snapped out of it and looked at him. "Yeah. I'm okay."

"You sure? You're blushing about something."

"Yeah. I'm okay." I finished up breakfast, put my plate in the sink, and got a cup filled with cold water. "Do you guys have any salt?"

"Why do you need salt for?" Mikey asked me.

"It's a mermaid thing. I always have to drink saltwater because of my mermaid cravings like tuna fish and squid. And it's also a refreshing drink for me."

"Eww, sound nasty." he gagged.

"I'll get it for you." Leo said as he got up to put his plate in the sink and headed to the top cupboard. He found it and have it to me. "Here you go."

I took it from him. "Thank you." I smiled and poured out some salt in my water. After that I mixed it with a spoon until all the salt was dissolved in the water. I started to drink it while Mikey gagged.

(Saltwater, the mermaid drink...)

The others came in and ate their breakfast. After I finished drinking my salt water, a giant rat came in and he looked down at me.

(The rat Sensei, Master Splinter)

'Whoa...' my mind said.

"Leonardo, is this girl on the news?" the rat asked him.

"Hai Sensei, this is Aquamarine. She's going to stay with us."

He circled around me, seeing if I was truly trustworthy and he looked at him. "Wasn't she hurt when you brought her in here Leonardo?"

"She was. But she has a special gift that makes her heal in water Sensei. And she's a really good fighter."

"Really? Hmm... Interesting." he looked at me and smiled. "I am Hamato Yoshi, but you may call me Sensei or Master Splinter. It is very nice to meet you Aquamarine."

"It's nice to meet you too, Sensei." I bowed and smiled bashfully.

"I would like to train you to see if you are still in good shape. You do not mind, do you child?"

"No, I don't mind Sensei." I smiled.

"Good. You may fight with us later and we will build a room for you during the week. I do not want you to sleep in Leonardo's bedroom all the time."

I blushed at that because it was true. "H-Hai Sensei." I bowed to him.

"Good. I will see you all in the dojo." he said as he left with his plate of breakfast.

After everyone else was finished with their food, I washed the dishes for them.

"You don't have to do that Aqua." Donnie said.

"But I want to. Since this is my new home too, I want to help out around here. I can cook for you guys, clean up the lair a bit, and some other things."

"You don't have to. We're all a family here and you're a part of it." Leo said.

"I am?" I asked.

"Yeah." he smiled.

I smiled back while my tail was wagging happily. "Thanks." I said as I dried the dishes and put everything away.

"So. Are we ready or not?" Raph asked.

"Yeah. Let's go." Donnie said.

So we all left the kitchen to see what was in store for our training session.

~Leo's Perspective~

As I was walking to the dojo, I looked straight at Aqua. She was really beautiful, I think I'm getting that feeling like Donnie did when he saw April. 'Whoa... I-I think I'm in love with her...' I thought to myself and looked at my room. "Um guys, I'll be back in a few!" I said as I ran to my room.

As I closed the door, I felt my plastron and my heart was beating fast. "Okay, this has to be a dream!" I pinched myself at my arm. "Ow." I rubbed my arm. "Okay, this isn't a dream. I think I love her." I smiled to myself. "I hope she loves me back too..." I wondered to myself as I was in the room. Thinking about Aquamarine...
