A Runaway Fitting
~The next morning in Haylie's Perspective~
I was all laid up in the couch. I looked at the time on my phone and it said 11:00 a.m. in the morning. I was thinking about how I was going to fit in with Aqua, Sensei, and the others. I sighed and looked up to the ceiling. "I don't fit in here... I should leave, this isn't my house." I looked at the entrance of the dojo, got up, and started walking toward the exit.
~Raph's Perspective~
I finished taking my morning shower and got out of the bathroom, then I saw Haylie leaving the lair. I went up to her and called her name. "Haylie?"
She stopped and looked at me. "Oh... Hey..."
"Where are you going?"
"I'm leaving..."
"But why Haylie? You can't go up there with a broken leg."
"I've overstayed my visit here. I don't fit in here with you guys. You guys are awesome at fighting, All I'm just good for is getting hurt..." she said sadly and started walking out.
I looked at her emotionally. "Hey wait..."
"What?" she turned around.
"About last night... I liked it." I blushed and looked away.
I see her smile a little. "I liked it too."
"Please don't leave." I begged her.
"I have to..." she walked away from me and the lair.
"Haylie." I called to her and she didn't respond. "Haylie!" I called her again, but she vanished. I sighed very sadly, it felt like I should've done better and cared for her more. If only I didn't run away after that kiss. "What have I done?"
~My Perspective~
My ears perked as I was sleeping, then I woke up. "Hmm..." I said to myself. "Something is not right..." I got up from my bed and got ready. I got out of my room dressed up and saw Raph there, he looked really upset. I knocked on Leo's door. "Blue Eyes! Wake up!" I called to him and he opened the door.
"Angel Eyes, what happened?" he asked me as he rubbed his eyes.
"It's Raph. He looks upset about something."
"I'll go talk to him. You stay here, it might be loud." he rubbed my hand.
"Okay."
He left me by his room door and started talking with him. 'I thought he said it was gonna be loud. But he's not loud, they always argue about something. It's a problem, and I'm gonna help him.' I walked over to the turtles and crouched down next to Raph. "Hey Tough Guy, what's wrong?"
"It's Haylie..."
"What about Haylie Raph?" Leo asked him.
"She left."
I gasped. "What?!"
"But why?" Leo asked.
"She thinks that she doesn't fit in here with us." Raph said sadly.
"This is not good. I better go find her." I said as I was about to leave, but Leo grabbed my hand.
"No Aqua. It's too dangerous to go on the surface. And it's morning time."
"I could go in my wolf form. The humans from up above mistaken me as a dog."
Leo sighed and looked at me. "Okay Angel Eyes, be careful up there." he said as he hugged me.
I hugged him back. "I'll be okay my love. And I'll bring back Haylie." I said as I pecked his lips and pulled away, while morphing into my wolf form.
"I'll be right here." Leo said as he was sitting down next to Raph.
"Okay my love. I'll be back soon." I said. Then I ran through the sewers and went up the ladder and out of the sewer cap.
(April and Casey's old high school I passed by)
I walked around the city to see that lots of humans were shopping and other things. It looked like fun, if only I was a human. As I was walking to find Haylie, I was greeted by a bunch of kids that started petting me. I liked the feeling and it felt good. I waved goodbye to the young kids and smelled Haylie's scent. I smelled her scent in an alleyway and found her, I barked at her to get her attention.
"Mmm..." Haylie mumbled and rolled over as she was sleeping.
I walked over to her and tapped her shoulder with my nose. 'Wake up Haylie.'
She woke up and looked at me. "Go away dog."
'I'm a wolf. Not a dog.' I pouted and licked her cheek.
"Go away I said. I'm trying to sleep."
I pouted more. "No. Get up." I spoke to her.
"Whoa! Did you just talk?!" Haylie was surprised.
"Haylie. It's me, Aqua."
"Aqua?! How are you a dog?" she asked.
"I'm a wolf. I came over here so that I can find you."
"Well, you found me... So you can leave."
"No. I'm not leaving until you tell me what's wrong with you." I commanded.
"I don't want to..." she turned away.
"Please tell me. I can help you."
She frowned and looks down to the ground. "I-I just... want to be strong like all of you... I don't fit in..." she trailed off.
"You do fit in Haylie." I nuzzled her and wrapped my tail around her.
I heard her sniffle and saw her shedding tears. "No I don't. You all know how to fight and protect yourselves. All I can do is just sit their and get in everybody's way."
"Haylie... You could've told us that you wanna be one of us. We can help you learn to fight and defend yourself."
"But I don't know how to fight or protect myself. That's why I don't fit in..." she said sadly.
"I'm sure that Sensei could teach you the arts of fighting like a kunoichi."
"But what if I screw up? Then Sensei would have to kick me out."
"No he won't."
"I think I'll need help though..."
"I'm sure we can all help you. Even Raph, if you know what I mean."
"Really? You'll help me learn how to fight?"
"Of course! That's what friends are for."
"Are you sure it's not a bother?"
"No. It's not a bother. And Raph seems to be fond of you Haylie. He really likes you. Do you like him back?"
She blushes. "Yeah... I-I love him..." she blushes redder.
"Aww." I smiled. "Then you should tell him how you feel!"
"But... I don't wanna risk it."
"Hey. You'll never know." I smiled with reassurance.
"Okay Aqua. Can you carry me home? I still have that broken leg."
"Okay." I got up and crouched down next to her. "Climb on."
She climbed on my back. "Am I too heavy? You don't have to carry me if you don't want to."
"But I do. Just hold on."
"Okay."
I crouched back up and started walking us back to the alleyway where I first got out of. As we were walking through the city, lots of kids were walking with us and we were friends with them. As soon as we got to the alleyway, we went into the sewers and started walking home together.
