I stared at the wall clock in the kitchen, leaning against the counter and munching on random things from the fridge as my sleepless eyes watched the seconds tick by.

1:32.

1:33.

1:34.

"Can't sleep?"

I jumped, almost spitting out my mouthful of potato chips as I spun around. Leo leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed tiredly, a yawn escaping his lips and his blue mask slightly askew across his eyes.

"Yeah," I replied between chews, pulling the sleeve of my oversized tshirt up on my shoulder, "My eyes refuse to close."

Leo smiled faintly, walking over and easing the bag of chips from my hands, then intertwining his fingers with mine and leading me back to the bedroom. I sighed, expecting to just lie in bed for a few more hours until it was actually a reasonable time to be up.

My boyfriend and I laid down, and Leo pulled the comforter over both of us, his arms pulling me close as he rested his chin on the top of my head. I grinned, snuggling close and taking a deep breath and actually beginning to feel drowsy.

He began to hum - softly, and not to any particular tune - but the softness of his voice made me even sleepier, as I relaxed even more into his hold.

My eyelids began to get heavy, and I yawned, glancing up at Leo, whose eyes were fully open, though he looked as if he were about to drift off at any second. I laughed sleepily at his dazed grin.

"You should sleep too, you know..."

He shrugged, raising his hand and stroking my hair. "I'd rather observe your beauty, Yūgana."

I blushed, reaching up behind his head to untie his mask. Leo tensed, eyes intently on me as I pulled the fabric away from his face, unused to seeing his face without the stripe of blue.

"And as much as I'd love to observe your handsomeness, Captain," I set the mask on the nightstand, "We both know that morning will come all too soon."

Leo smiled, ocean blue eyes popping with his emerald green skin as he kissed me, mumbling against my lips, "With you beside me, no time is long enough to be able to spend with you, Love."

I giggled drowsily, leaning my head on his plastron and finally being lulled to sleep in my fearless leader's arms.
