The City
Star Spirit's paws ached as he lead his Tribe away from the forest, a light drizzle soaked his ginger pelt. He look over his shoulder to see that Bramble and Shine were about the collaspe from exhaustion. He glanced around and saw Diamond and Crow pressed against each other with a kit each in their jaws, their two weaker kits have already died a day after they were born. In weather like this, no kit could survive the chilly air and freezing raindrops. It's been two months since the Southern Tribe had invaded their territory and their camp, Star Spirit lost his mate, Rose, and unborn kits in the choas. A fresh wave of grief stabbed his heart like an icicle, he missed them dearly and all he could do was flee the forest and find a new home. They had died in vain and he felt guilty for it, but Rose would want him to move on and protect the tribe, and that's what he's going to do. With a new determined look in his baby blue eyes, he keep onward while also making sure his tribemates are still with him.
"Star Spirit?" A raspy meow sounded beside him and he was snapped out of his thoughts. He looked to his left to see a familiar light grey pelt that was turned dark from the rain.
"Oh, I'm fine, Misty. Just thinking." He replied, looking back down at the ground. He was aware of Misty's dull blue eyes boring in his pelt. He had grown up with this wonderful she-cat and he had yet to feel anything towards her after Rose's death. Many cats suggested that he'd talk to her, but he never grabbed the confidence to do so. Then again, she had avoided him ever since Rose came into his life, he knew why, but he didn't mention it. She hadn't been herself since, her sparkling personality gone within a few days. Her naturally beautiful silver pelt turned dark grey and her eyes turned from brilliant blue to navy. He felt a rush of sympathy ripple through his pelt for Misty. She was such a nice cat yet he pushed her away after meeting Rose. They had trained together, fought side by side in every battle...he sighed, why was he thinking about this now when his tribe needed a home. He brushed passed her and continued forward, he imagined a hurt look in her eyes but he pushed the thought away, he heard her padding away toward the back of the group where Fang was waiting, the dark brown tabby tom gave Misty a sympathetic lick on the ear. She seemed to brighten up as she pressed her pelt against Fang's. The two cats walked side by side. She'll be happy with him, he thought.
"Hey, Star Spirit, maybe we should find a place the rest, we're all tired." Storm meowed. Star Spirit hesitantely nodded and the assembled cats began setting up a makeshift camp. He immediately made sure Diamond and her kits were settled in, Then he checked on the Students and the Fighters, then he made a small nest for himself and curled up. His pelt bristled with cold and he longed for Rose's soft, warm fur against his. He had forgotten what it was like to sleep alone without the warmth of another cat against him. Unable to sleep, he glanced around at his sleeping tribemates. Soon, he spotted Misty lying beside Fang, the grey she-cat seemed glad to sleep beside the strong tom. He felt a flash of jealousy go through him. He shook his head and quickly drifted off into sleep.
~About a month later~
Star Spirit was awoken to the sound of terrified meowing and his eyes snapped open. He spotted Diamond hissing at a small human like figure which was hold one of her kits. Crow stood beside his mate, drawing his teeth back in a snarl. Star spirit pushed his way through the group of cats surrounding the figure, he immediately recognized a three fingered hand, a shell, a purple mask, and chocolate brown eyes. His eyes widened in disbelief.
"Stop!" He ordered as he approached the tall humanoid turtle. The turlte dropped the helpless kit onto the ground and it melwed in pain. Crow grabbed his kit and put it in between him and Diamond.
"Donnie?" Star Spirit meowed softly, Donnie knelt down and immediately wrapped his arms around Star Spirit's neck. The purple clad turtle was sobbing, his tears soaked Star Spirit's pelt.
"Uh...Donnie?" He repeated, the turtle released him and looked at him dead in the eyes, Star Spirit felt himself starting to cry, "I...I've missed you."
"I've missed you too, little brother." Donnie embraced him again. Star Spirit was suddenly aware of his tribe staring at him and he pushed Donnie away.
"Why are you here?" He questioned, his gaze suddenly grown serious.
"We're here to take you home." The ninja explained just as two other turtles arrived, Leo and Raph. Star Spirit wasn't surprised at all about the fact his brothers were here to take him home, he knew they would miss him but he had to stay to lead the tribe, he has no kits, so who would succeed him if he leaves? Misty? No, she gave up being leader and chose me. He shook his head.
"I can't, my tribe needs me, I can't leave them without a leader." He confirmed. His brothers exchanged shocked glances. It's for their own good, he told himself. When he thought they would just give up and leave, their expressions turned angry and Leo tied a rope around Star Spirit's neck and began tugging at it like a leash. Star Spirit tried pulling away but the rope only got tighter and he yelp in pain.
"L-Leo, stop, I...can't breath." He whimpered, he heard his tribe rushing to his aid and are trying to release their leader, but Leo kept tugging. As Star Spirit began to fade to black, he saw Misty's terrified gaze looking at him, she was crying as if she believed he was gonna die. Then his vision went black and he felt himself collapse.
~Place skip lol~
Star Spirit groaned as he began to wake up, he slowly lifted his head to find himself on a small metal table with many wires attached to him. He looked around and saw Donnie asleep on his desk, the purple clad turtle looked like he was up all night. He pricked his ears as Leo and Raph stepped in, Leo's hands were coated in blood, so were Raph's. Star Spirit stared at them in horror. What happened while I was gone, what has happened to my brothers? The ginger tom gulped at what his once kind brothers would do to him. He had already realized he was in Donnie's lab in the lair. He gasped, the tribe, what happened to them? Did his brothers killed them all, even Misty? His worry for his tribe and the grey she-cat hovered over his head like a dark cloud. He scrambled to his paws and leaped off the table, Leo and Raph blocked his way out and Donnie was awake at this point, he stabbed Star Spirit's skin with a needle and the tom found himself getting more sleepy, he collapsed once again on his side and fell asleep as his brothers crowed him.
