"Come on Jonathan. It's not everyday I come to the human world and take my friends to the fairy-tale world." Alex begged, "Please come, you have the blood for it."

Jonathan's eyes widened and he ran a hand through his ginger hair, "W-what? Blood? Am I going to die? Or-"

"No no no.." Alex laughed, "You are related to Red. Her grandmother is your grandmother, so you have their blood and won't get stuck in the portal for hundreds of years."

Jonathan gaped, "What if I don't have their blood? I'll die! Right?"

"You do have their blood, and I promise you'll be okay." She grabbed his hand, "Do you believe me?"

Jonathan blinked at her move and his eyes went down to their hands. Normally a girl grabbing his hand would terrify him, but this was different. Alex was different. He trusted her.

A sudden burst of confidence came with the move and he said, "Yes."

Alex smiled and dragged him to the portal, "Look into my eyes, not the portal."

He gulped and nodded, the nerves were returning, but they calmed as his focus stayed on Alex. His gray eyes soon got lost in her sky blue ones. She was so beautiful and smart and caring. He'd always had feelings for her, ever since they met when she visited the human world a few years ago. He loved art and often painted or drew pictures of her for when the horrible times of her having to leave came, but he never knew why.. until today.

They were engulfed in the portal before he knew it. Jonathan gaped and Alex reached out and grabbed his hand, "It'll be okay. I promise. See? If you didn't have Red's blood, you'd be way behind me by now."

Jonathan nodded. He knew it was a good decision to trust her. If anyone else were to tell him that they were from a world full of fairy tale characters and wanted to take him there, he'd think they were high or something.

Then, they made it past the portal. Jonathan fell on the ground with an oof.

Alex landed on her feet and laughed, "You okay?"

Jonathan didn't hear her. He was so overtaken by the alluring view surrounding them. In the distance he saw castles. The grass was so green. The trees were so.. perfect!

He gaped, "Y-you live here?"

She nodded, "Impressed?"

He got up to his feet, "More than impressed. Astonished! Inspired! This place is breathtaking. Just like you." A hand flew over his mouth as he said the last part. Alex tilted her head at him and smiled, "Whatever. Do you feel inspired to do some art, or want to meet anyone?"

He immediately pulled out his sketch pad to cover his embarrassment, "Y-yeah. I'll sketch a bit. But, will you stay with me?"

"Of course! I don't want someone like Trollbella getting a hold of you."

Jonathan gaped again, "T-Trollbella? Will it eat me?"

"No," Alex sat down on a log and patted on it, inviting him to sit by her, "She and her troblins have lots of parties and such. I don't want you to have to see that. Trust me, it isn't pretty."

"Oh." He laughed, but he wasn't completely persuaded that she wasn't dangerous. 

"What do you want to sketch first?" Alex asked as she took her headband off. Jonathan thought for a bit. He wanted so badly to sketch the view, this new place, but Alex was more tempting to draw.

"You." He whispered. He tensed as he realized that he once again, showed her his feelings. Alex finished readjusting her headband and turned to him, "Wait. Are you serious? About this and earlier?"

Jonathan gulped. She knew. What if she suddenly started hating him and sent him back to the human world, never wanting to see him again? No. She's not that kind of person. Although his heart was pounding and his face was beginning to match his hair, he decided it was time.

"Y-yes." He stared at the ground, "Ever since I met you, I knew there was something special about you. No other girl has gotten to me like you have. You're so incredible and selfless and beautiful and-"

"I love you too." Alex interrupted.

Jonathan swore his jaw just about dropped to the ground, "What? You do? I didn't think-"

Alex grabbed his shirt and pulled his lips to hers.

They melted into the kiss.

So? Is this ship cute to you guys? I really like it. Jonathan is a great character. I always hate when I find stories where all of the characters are perfect. I always love the stories where the characters have flaws. (That's why Red is my favorite character, she's so blonde and odd, but she gets past it and does everything in her own unique way.)
