Chapter 17

Stargirl was panting heavily as she looked at Eclipso, who wasn't showing any signs of tiring out, since unlike her, he wasn't human. But this fight was making her glad that she'd spent so much time training. But still, even with the boost from the Star Force, Stargirl knew that she wouldn't be able to keep going forever.

Luckily she didn't have to right as a beam of green light hit Eclipso from the sky as Jade touched down next to her and Starfire wasn't that far behind.

"Need some help?" Starfire asked.

"Desperately. I can't beat him alone." Stargirl said.

"Then let's hit this dark bastard with a triple light blast." Jade said and Stargirl grinned as she raised her staff, her eyes glowing as she did, Starfire's hands glowing with green star energy and Jade's ring glowed a bright green.

"Let's do it." Stargirl said as all three of them blasted the demon of darkness three blasts of concentrated light.

"No." Eclipso screamed, since while he could one of them, the combined power of all three of them did some real damage.

"I need more darkness." Eclipso shouted.

"You want darkness? I'll show you darkness." Raven said with a grin as her gem glowed a bright ruby red and her hands glowed a dark purple as she unleashed her magic, which took the form of a giant raven, which encompassed Eclipso.

"You think this can hold me? I feed on darkness." Eclipso roared.

"Not like this. You think you're the strongest demon to ever live? You're a pathetic joke. Let me show you a real demon." Raven said as she invoked the power of Trigon to make Eclipso suffer.

"No. Trigon is nothing compared to me. I am the result of man's darkest desires." Eclipso said as he tried to fight back, only to be knocked back and Raven grinned, since this was one of the few times she and her father worked in perfect unison, him willingly giving her his power to feed her attack on this lesser demon.

"Keep telling yourself that. Now, it's time to make you see the light." Raven said as she finally reigned her father in and tossed Eclipso back into the light, where Stargirl was waiting, hovering in the air before she used her staff to send Eclipso down into the ground and used the shooting star maneuver her father had taught her to ram it into the cosmic staff into his chest.

"Who are you to think that you can truly defeat me?" Eclipso said as he struggled to get free as he could sense Stargirl charging up her staff with her own star power, combining the two into something even stronger than any form of light he'd ever encountered before.

"I'm Stargirl. And more importantly, we're the Titans. And it's time to end your reign of terror for good." Stargirl said.

"You can't destroy darkness. As long as humanity exists, the Shadows will feed on their darkness. Even on yours." Eclipso tried to say.

"True. Darkness can't be destroyed anymore than light. But you, you can be destroyed. I call this move the Superstar." Stargirl said as she finally released all the power she'd been charging into the staff into one concentrated blast that literally filled Eclipso with light until he burst.

"No!" was the last thing the demon shouted before he faded away in the resulting explosion.

"Courtney." Raven shouted as she saw the magnitude of the blast and quickly moved in to investigate, as did Starfire, Jade, Obsidian, Dove, Cyborg and Beast Boy, who all flew down from the sky to investigate while Nightwing, Arsenal, and Thunder approached from the ground.

"Does anyone have eyes on Stargirl?" Nightwing asked as they began searching the blast site.

"Not yet. We can't see anything without getting dust in our eyes." Starfire said.

"The energy readings from the battle are messing with my scanners. I can't detect anything." Cyborg said.

"Maybe I can help with that." Jakeem said, reminding them all that he was there.

"What do you have in mind?" Raven asked skeptically and for good reason, since Jakeem was still pretty inexperienced at making wishes with the Thunderbolt.

"I wish all this dust was gone and we could see what happened to Stargirl." Jakeem said.

"As you wish." Thunderbolt said, though it was clear the imp was disappointed he hadn't been able to be involved in the fight, but it had been decided that for right now, he was more likely to make things worse than better, just because of how inexperienced his current master was.

The wish worked like a charm as the dust vanished and they saw Stargirl, looking battered from the blast and her costume damaged, but ultimately alive and leaning on her staff.

"Courtney." Raven said as she rushed down to the girl's side.

"I'm okay, just a little battered." Stargirl said.

"Good. Because now I can do this." Raven said as she kissed Stargirl this time as the other Titans smiled at the sight of something they all knew was coming finally happen.

This brings the threat of Eclipso to an end and with it, this story. All that's left is an epilogue for the holiday, which I'll hopefully have up in time for Christmas. Hope you enjoyed it.
