°~My Romeo~°
Punch after punch, and hours after hours pass as you slump down the wall, every muscle in your body electrified with a burning sensation.
Your gaze lifts to the clock hanging above the entrance to the gym as beads of sweat glide down your face and body.
4:48 p.m.
It seems as though I've trained myself today. Where the hell is he?
For the fourth time, you pull out your phone and dial his number, only to hear the same automated voice speaking through the phone.
"The number you have dialed is currently busy..."
Slamming your phone into your bag in frustration, you run a hand through your hair; a habit you seemed to pick up from being around him.
Has he given up on me?
Is he in trouble?
Or...
You're thoughts are cut off when the gym door is harshly swung open and a sweaty Jimin stumbles in.
Your eyes darken and your jaw tightens as you push yourself up off the floor. His eyes catch yours immediately as a look of guilt washes over his expressions.
"Y/N, I-"
"Where the hell were you?! The day is almost over and my fight is tomorrow!"
His sweaty hair sticks to his forehead and his lips open and shut as he struggles to form sentences when your eyes travel his sweaty state.
"Why are you like th-"
The gym door swings open yet again as the last person you wanted to see prances in. With a lollipop between her lips and boxing gloves on, your eyes travel her sweaty state as well.
Your heart drops to your stomach when Nari's elbow rests on Jimin's shoulder and she flashes a crooked smile at you.
"Sorry, was I keeping him for too long? You can have him now. I'm done with my training for tomorrow."
She throws you a wink before grabbing her bag and skipping down the corridor, disappearing around the corner.
Unexplainable emotions travel through you as you stare at Jimin in disbelief, who had his head hanging low.
Your hand twitches when his glassy eyes meet yours, and you raise your hand instantly, swinging it down to his cheek. But you couldn't.
The utter betrayal you were witnessing for the second time was alarming, and it seemed like the light at the end of the tunnel was beginning to grow dim.
You halt your fist a few inches away from his face before turning around and grabbing your bag.
So this is what it ends to be. This is the side he had chosen all along. How could I be so fucking blind?
His hand catches your wrist as you storm past him.
"Y/N, please-"
"Just shut up, Jimin!"
You shout, pulling your hand out of his grasp. You don't even realize the tears trickling down your cheeks as you face him.
"So this was your plan all along. You were using me to find out all my weaknesses to train her!"
His lips part in shock as he steps forward.
"That's not-"
Your voice is lowered to a wavering whisper.
"You knew how much this meant to me. I told you everything about me!"
Jimin's hands fall helplessly by his side. He knew he couldn't tell you the truth about bribing this match, so he decided to do the only thing he could.
Grabbing your face between his palms, he presses his lips against yours. Not a second is spared when you shove him back, wiping your lips in disgust.
"I can't believe you."
"Y/N, I can't tell you anything right now, but just know that... that I love you, and I wouldn't do anything out of my own will to hurt you."
You stare at him in silence, before a bubbling laugh of unbelief leaves your lips.
"Wow..."
His eyes droop as he parts his lips to speak but he's cut off by your harsh tone.
"I hate you."
Your lips tremble as those words leave your lips. After everything, you never thought you'd say those words to him.
He trembles as a sharp pain like a knife searing through his heart hits him, and he tears his eyes away from you.
Wiping away your tears, you hold onto the strap of your bag tightly. Your voice cracks as you speak.
"Tell me. Why? Why did you do this to me? After everything you've said to me, you were on her side all along."
"I wasn't on her-"
"Stop with the fucking lies! Haven't you had enough?! Because I have!"
His chest heaves and falls as his fingers tremble. He brings his hand upto your face, caressing your cheek.
Your clamp down on your lower lip, the feeling of his warmth flowing from his palm to your cheek. He steps forward, his face inches away from yours as the lingering scent of his perfume prances around your senses.
"Y/N. Please listen to me right now. You have to knock her out tomorrow. You can't rely on the points at all. Her weak point is under her jaw-"
Sniffling, you push him away harshly as more tears escape your eyes.
"You fucking cheapskate! You're trying to clear your conscience by giving me some of your shitty advice. I don't want to hear a word from you anymore, Park Jimin."
You continue to speak, your voice now softer.
"I-I loved you. I gave you all of me, and I thought you were genuine too. I'm not gonna lie, you're pretty good at faking things, Jimin. I thought you were a diamond in the rough, but it turns out you were just plastic in disguise."
His face creases in agony as you walk away from him, before halting in the doorway to speak your last words.
"I never thought I'd say this, but we're officially over."
Jimin's heart drops to his feet as he lets out the breath he didn't know he was holding. Regret and anger boils up inside him as three words flashed loud and clear in his mind.
Go after her.
Taking long strides, he pushes through the gym doors before breaking out into a sprint down the hallway, his eyes darting around the area in desperation to find you.
In a split second, he catches your figure exiting the main entrance, your bag dangling over your shoulder with your head drooping.
"Y/N-"
"Jimin!"
A hand reaches out to grab his arm, pulling him to the sidewalk. He's jerked sideways to meet the face of Nari, her lollipop still stuck in her cheek. He looks away to see you walking down the road, and attempts to go after you but winces when her sharp nails dig into his bicep.
"Jimin, look at me!"
He lets out a wavering breath, bringing his gaze back to Nari.
"Leave her. The match is tomorrow, and we are not done yet. Stay over at my place for now."
She tugs at his arm, pulling him in the opposite direction of you as his sad gaze watches you disappear around the corner. He looks back at the expectant woman, before letting out a defeated sigh and replying to her.
"I don't think I have anywhere else to be, anyways."

You drag your feet down the street, an empty void filling your chest as you slow down, leaning against the wall of a worn out building.
Your hair falls in front of your face as you droop your head low, emotions tumbling through you, hitting you relentlessly in waves.
"I can't believe he did this."
You whisper, tugging at the roots of your hair as you close your eyes.
"What the fuck am I supposed to do now?!"
You yell out in frustration, throwing your hands down and startling a few passerby's.
You sniffle as your face contorts, ready to start crying but you shake your head vigorously.
"No, you will not cry right now. You aren't a wimp, and you aren't a sissy."
You fan your face, trying to suppress the burning tears in the corner of your eyes as people look at you worriedly when they pass by, hearing your peculiar words.
"You know what? Fuck this."
You pull out your phone, dialing the first number you could think of. You bring it to your ear, impatiently waiting for the person to pick up.
"Hel-"
"Tae? Hi! Let's scrap our hangout and go for a drink at the bar down the street, okay?"
"Um-"
"Thanks, see you there."
Shoving your phone back in your pocket, you grit your teeth in determination as you stomp down the road, the familiar sign hanging above a wooden door catching your eyes immediately.
I'm going to forget everything that's happened and beat the living shit out of that roach tomorrow.
Charging through the doors, the loud music hits you instantly as you startle some people standing around. Treading to the bar, you sit down with a huff, dumping your bag on the floor next to you.
"Wow, you sure look like you need a drink."
The bartender says, staring at you with wide eyes.
Ignoring his statement, you pull out your only friend - a box of cigarettes, and rummage for your lighter. Desperately bringing the flame to the end of the cigarette, your shoulders relax as you heave in a puff of smoke, letting it escape slowly through your nostrils and lips.
"What would you like?"
You sigh, bringing your gaze up to him.
"Give me anything that will wipe out my memories of today."
A chuckle emits from him as he bows.
"Aye aye!"
Not being able to vibe with his bubble personality, you roll your eyes before bringing the cigarette to your lips once more, repeating your actions.
You look around, leaning on the counter with your elbow and one leg bent on the chair, waiting for a certain person to show up.
It wasn't long until you saw a brown haired man waltz into the bar with his hands in his pockets, and your eyes light up as you lift your hand, the cigarette stuck between your fingers as you wave to him.
Catching your figure among the crowd immediately, Taehyung waves back before plopping into the chair next to you. He smiles, leaning his chin on his palm before speaking.
"What brought on this sudden change in location?"
You sigh, your lips beginning to tremble again as you puff out a cloud of smoke before speaking in a small voice.
"You were right."
"Pardon?"
He says, furrowing his eyebrows.
"I said, you were right!"
You raise your voice, startling him.
The bartender places your drink on the table as you grab the glass, downing it in one shot before turning to him.
"Give me four more, please. Two for him and two for me."
The bartender nods as Taehyung places a hand on your knee on the chair, a look of concern evident in his eyes.
"Y/N, are you okay?"
It was that question that had you breaking down into the tears you so badly were trying to hold back.
"No, I'm not fucking okay, things are just spiraling out of control and I don't know what to do anymore. He's been cheating me this entire time and I was too fucking stupid to notice because I thought he actually loved me! I should have just listened to you when you told me he was a douche and I didn't- "
You're rambles are cut short when Taehyung pulls you into his arms, holding onto you so tight.
"Y/N. I won't say 'I told you so' or try to console with meaningless words like 'everything will be alright'. But just know that you are better than anyone can deserve. At least in my eyes, nobody deserves you."
You go limp in his arms, placing your entire weight on him as the tears pour out like waterfalls of sorrow and anguish, leaving a large patch on his white dress shirt. He grunts after a while, before turning his head to the side as you feel his breaths fanning your ears.
"God, you're heavy. Are you asleep or something?"
Pulled out of your trance, you slowly pull away from him and sit back on your chair. His jaw tightens as his eyes travels your devastated state. Nothing but thoughts about the multiple ways he could make Jimin pay for what he's done travelled through his mind as the bartender places the four yellow-orange drinks on the counter in silence, all signs of happiness wiped off his face.
Without hesitating, you tilts your head backwards, downing the burning alcohol and slamming the glass back onto the counter. Taehyung eyes you, before resting his hand on his inner thigh as he slowly drinks the alcohol, feeling its burning sensation sliding down his throat.
Wiping his lips with his thumb, he realizes you've already swallowed the two glasses of drinks in the time span of him finishing one.
"Are you a heavy drinker?"
He pipes up, and your hooded eyes travel to his glinting ones.
"You could say that."
Your voice came out low and soft, as if you made no effort whatsoever to even speak.
Taehyung sips on his second drink, before running his tongue across his lips and leaning on the counter. He notices your hazy eyes and light swaying when his eyes light up.
"Do you want to dance?"
You grunt, turning your eyes away in distaste.
"I hate dancing."
"Oh come on! Have one more glass and you'll be drunk as a frog. Then you probably wouldn't mind it."
His eyes sparkle as he pleads, and you roll your eyes, signaling the bartender for one more. After downing the last glass, a burp forces its way out of your lips as Taehyung grabs your hand.
Slowly leading you away from the dancing people and into a secluded corner with a few other couples, Taehyung takes your hands in his, a gentle smile encompassing his features.
"Just let go, hmm?"
Your vision was hazy from the alcohol coursing through your system, and you smiled back, feeling as light as a feather.
The music shifts to a slower, calmer beat and instrumentals are brought in as the man at the DJ speaks into the mic.
"This one is for the Romeos and Juliets here this evening!"
You look back at Taehyung, his face staring down at you with a dull glow which you wondered was from the lights or your vision.
You hum as he takes your right hand, holding it up while sliding the other around your waist, automatically moving your other hand to his shoulder.
"You aren't my Romeo."
You say, and an expression of hurt swipes across his face immediately. However, your forehead leans against his chest when you feel a little light headed, the sound of his racing heart instantly meeting your ears.
His breath hitches when he leans his head down a little, and you feel his breath fanning your ears when he speaks, his voice velvety low.
"I can be, tonight."
He sways you slowly to the beat as you shut your eyes against his chest, relaxing in his warm arms that you missed being in when you feel a soft pressure to the top of your head before feeling his chin resting on it.
"Would you like me to be in the stands for you tomorrow?"
His voice bellows through your senses, sending a shiver down your spine as his thumb grazes your skin.
You nod, before hearing his deep chuckles reverberate through his chest.
"I was going to be there regardless of your answer anyways."
You let out a breathy laugh, before lifting your head up to meet his beautiful almond eyes, staring at you through his brown locks that fell just above his eyelids.
"I wonder which side Jimin will be on. I'm pretty sure he's still technically my coach."
You mumble out as Taehyung rolls his eyes.
"Who cares? Right now, in this moment, you're here with me. Not him. Just like how it used to be."
Your gaze lowers, a low sigh escaping your lips as you allowed yourself to sway in his arms.
Just like how it used to be.
Is this how it was? I can't seem to remember the times we had.
Maybe I do, but I can't seem to feel those emotions again. They're just... the past. Face it, Y/N. Taehyung has changed.
Things aren't the same anymore. But in his eyes, he still stares at me the same way he did all those years ago.
So I guess... It's me that's changed, not him.
Your heart skips a beat when he smiles down at you lost in your thoughts, his almond eyes pushing up a little with his boxy grin.
But right now, in this moment, I'm here with him, not Jimin. Almost like the way things used to be. Almost.
Taehyung slowly begins to inch his face closer to you, lowering himself down, his scent growing stronger and stronger until his lips were a breath away from yours.
You stare into his eyes that stare back into yours, voices in his head asking him if he's doing the right thing, but he never got to make his decision because you move your head away, resting it on his shoulder.
Yet, I can't allow you to make the moves you want to.
Because no matter how much I hate him...
My heart is still in his clutches.
Taehyung brings his head back up slowly, his face creasing in anguish when he looks down at you. He was being denied for the 100th time, and he felt his heart shatter for the 100th time.
I just have to prove myself tomorrow. Prove that everything I've accomplished is of my own strength and effort.
I won't give in to this betrayal, because I am no easy woman and Titanium will not go down this easily.
