°~Loved~°

You spit out all your coffee, the liquid spraying all over the area around you as you stare at the TV with wide eyes and an open mouth.

"What fuckery is this?!"
You yell out, as you see the scene that had unfolded yesterday between you and Bora outside the shop, now on the news in the 'Drama' section.
It seemed as though a passerby had encountered the scene, and pulled out his/her phone and started recording.

"Here we see two former champions, Jeon Y/N and Park Bora of the lightweight female boxing section , scrapping out in front of a shop! What happened between these two boxers, for this incident to happen?"

"She isn't even a fucking champion! She won once. ONCE!"
You yell, holding up your index finger at the screen.

"Apparently, two males try to seperate them. One being the male lightweight champion Park Jimin and the other, unknown."

You snort, covering your mouth soon after.

"This is quite a disgraceful act that's taken place here, only further ruining these boxer's reputations.
Bora's sister is Park-"

You abruptly switch off the TV when you notice the time. You were already dressed and ready and decided to watch some TV till time passes, but instead you've been reminded about how your career is plummeting further into the dust.

Your doorbell rings unexpectedly, and you open it in confusion.
"Hello!"
The man's baritone voice echoes through your silent apartment and you bounce, engulfing yourself in his arms.
"Tae!! You never told me you were coming?"
"I wanted to accompany you at the institute today, I got another visiting pass."

He says with a large smile, shaking the ticket in front of your face as you scrunch your nose.
"This may not be the best time."
"Why not?"
He asks, his arm falling limp beside him as a pout surfaces on his face.
"Did you not watch the news?"
You ask, giggling.

He shakes his head and you slam your hand onto your forehead, grabbing the remote and turning the TV back on.

His pout disappears, and is replaced with fascinated eyes and an open mouth.
"Holy shit, I'm on TV!"

He yells, wiggling his hips from side to side as you stare at him in disbelief.

"This is disastrous, Tae! You're lucky nobody recognizes you, but the loser ex-female champion of the world will be plastered everywhere now!"

You yell, annoyed.
The tall man thought your anger was towards him as you walk out the door, slamming it shut after he walks out and his shoulders slump. In reality, you were mad at yourself. Mad that you fell into that little witch's spells that trapped you. She was bound to have seen this, and you know things weren't going to turn out alright.

"God.. I hope the other trainees haven't seen this."
You mumble to yourself as you get into a cab with Taehyung. You play with your fingers as you stare out the window, the large building glinting in the sunlight, like a beacon in the wilderness emerging into your view.

"I'm sorry."

Taehyung mumbles beside you and you snap your head towards him. His head was lowered and his lips were pushed out into a small pout, with his eyebrows knitted together in worry.

"Yah.. don't get all slushy with me!"

You say playfully, pinching his stomach as he giggles, holding the reddened area. His boxed smile pushed his eyes up into little crescents and it reminded you of Jimin.

After tipping the taxi driver who had stared you down until you did, you cautiously walk into the entrance, eyes scanning the staff around.

That's when you saw it.

The sly looks, and avoiding ones. The people that put their heads down or turned away as soon as they saw you enter.

They'd done it to you before, and you'd recognize the feeling anywhere.
Humiliation settles upon your rapidly beating heart, wrapping it's coils around it and squeezing hard.

A lady finally approaches you, a serious look graced her delicate features. Her oiled black hair hung just above her shoulders and the wrinkles around her eyes that seemed from laughter contrasted her present countenance.

"Ms. Jeon. The CEO is expecting you in his office."
She says bluntly and you widen your eyes, taken aback.
"W-what?"
"Don't keep him waiting, you'll just make him angrier than he already is."
She whispers, her eyes faltering in sympathy as she pats the side of your arm, scurrying away.

Your hands trembled, and your breathing shallowed. It was happening again. Would you be thrown out of here as well? This time, you had no-one to fall back on. No parents, no Jungkook. Just your broken self.

You turn around to face Taehyung who had his hands stuffed into the pockets of his sweatpants. He overheard the strict instruction, and his eyes glazed in worry.

"You'll be alright, go on."

He says softly, a sign of encouragement.

Climbing up the stairs, you stand in front of the CEO's hazed glass door, your hand frozen on the gold plated handle, a large wall seeming to block the muscles in your arm and your brain.

"Come in!"
You hear his voice yell from inside. He had probably seen your blurred figure through the glass and had given up on waiting. You snap out of your trance, opening the door as the gush of icy cold air hits you from the air conditioner in the polished office.

You're surprised once more when you see Jimin and Bora sitting in two chairs opposite him. A spark lit in your brain and you connected the dots.

This is about what happened yesterday.

You bow, eyeing the pair and avoiding the empty chair next to Bora to sit next to Jimin.

Fear stings your body as your eyes meet the burning gaze of the institute's CEO, Bang Si Hyuk.

(A/N: Yes. I just did that 💀💀)

The stout man was usually cheerful with his hands folded on his jutted stomach, but now in his place was a red-faced fuming CEO with clenched fists on the glass table who had to bear the brunt of publicity from his champions.

"Y/N. Do you realize what has happened?"
He bluntly says, a wavering in his voice as he tries to prevent screaming his head off.

You gulp, lowering your eyes as you feel the gaze of three people on you.

You open your mouth to reply as you clench your trembling hands tightly.
"I-i apologize for-"
"Apologies will not undo the disgrace brought onto this institution and I!"
He raises his voice, his body leaning forward.

Without waiting for a reply, his fiery eyes fall on Bora.
"And you! I expected you to have a little more common sense, than fall in her petty games!"
Your heart clenched at his accusatory statements about you.

I never started it.

I never played any games.

It was her, all her.

"Haven't you seen where her career is today?! The reputation that her brother had been trying to clear, is now back to nothing. And you're in the same boat now."
He spits out, leaning back into his leather chair with a deep breath.
You clench your trembling fists at his words as you keep your eyes fixed on your lap.

How dare he?

He knows nothing about my life.

Knows nothing about the struggles I've undertaken to get where I am today.

The CEO turns to Jimin.

"Park Jimin, my most prized possession."

You scoff, recollecting the memory when the same man called your brother his prized possession. Now that your brother is down and out, it seems as though he's found a new trophy.

Park Jimin.

The man had disappointed you terribly, and a pair of gloves sent your way wouldn't melt your heart into his.

"I appreciate you trying to break up their absurd scrap fight, but your face is now on national television as the 'Slumdog's Mediator'. Your head snaps up, eyes boring through the CEO.

"What?!"

You yell, soon after regretting your action.

"Keep your voice down, Ms. Jeon. You aren't in any position to have an opinion as of now."
He growls, a threat lacing his words.

"Being called a Slumdog will not keep me quiet, Mr. Bang. How dare they?"

You raise your voice, standing up from the chair.

"Ms. Jeon! If it wasn't for my intervention, the board of directors would've had you suspended for 6 months!"
The burly man abruptly stands up, the chair scraping on the ground as it moved backwards.

His reddened countenance fades back to normalcy as he sighs, dabbing his forehead with a tissue.

"I never asked for this either."
He mumbles to himself and Jimin turns to you.

"Y/N, sit down."
He whispers and you shoot him a glare. Your eyes fall on the girl beside him and then onto her hands latched around his arm.

"It was her."

You bluntly state, turning to the shocked CEO.
"What?"

"I said, it was her."

You spit out, eyes glaring at the girl and you see Jimin's head droop in the corner of your eye.
"I cannot believe this. You now resort to the blame game?"

The CEO replies, exhausted from the situation.

"It's the truth! She edged me on!"

You yell and the CEO shakes his head.
"I'm not here to solve a primary schooler's cat fights! What was caught on camera was you approaching Bora, shoving her around which led to a fist fight in public. This is why you'll be suspended for a week."

You're left speechless as you turn to Jimin.
"Tell him. You were there, you saw everything."

Mr. Bang turns to Jimin expectedly, and so does Bora.

"Jimin. Is it true?"

The rounded man asks with a cough from all his yelling.

"I-i.."
The caramel haired man stutters as he looks at you. His eyes then fall on Bora and her pleading eyes. He runs his hands through his hair, cursing under his breath.

Why is he even hesitating?

He knows the truth. Why won't he defend it?

You see the light at the end of the tunnel begin to grow dimmer as he sighs, looking at Bora once more and patting her hand.

The light grows smaller and smaller, until there's only a tiny speck of it left to survive, waiting for someone to put it out.

He looks at you apologetically and you shake your head.
"Don't. Don't do that, Jimin. Tell him the fucking truth."

You blurt out, clenching your fists as breathing becomes harder and harder, your throat burning from resisting the urge to cry.

The macchiato haired man opens his mouth to speak, and you see regret flashing in his graceful orbs.

"You're the one t-that approached her aggressively, Y/N. What she did was an accident, and you took things to an unnecessarily absurd level.  "
You hold still, staring at him, eyes locked right on his. There was a wrinkle in your nose that had nothing to do with a coming sneeze, muscles tight, jaw clenched.

The CEO's voice drowns out from beside you, only leaving your rapid breathing to echo through your body.

Betrayal was a bitter feeling. You swam for the light and begged him to help you do it, but instead he dragged you back down into the abyss. You shattered into a million shards at that moment, as your eyes fell on the woman next to him, a smirk plastered on her face.

The woman he chose to defend over you, the woman that caused this. How quickly his friendship turned to betrayal, as if he didn't even fight it. He let the witch beside him swallow him and pour acid into his soul.

Without another word, you storm out of the room, ignoring the yells from behind you as you grab hold of the handle, pulling it open and running down the stairs. This time, you didn't hold back the drops of sorrow from escaping your eyes. It blurred your vision, but you knew exactly where you were going.

Reaching the top floor, you stumble onto the terrace of the building. Luckily, the receptionist didn't see you because she was busy looking at her phone.

You sit down near the edge, harshly wiping away your tears, disgusted for displaying your weaknesses. Your chest burned in rage, and the only person that entered your mind was the betrayer.

You yell into the sky in frustration, ignoring the cloudy morning where there were growing patches of blue, the sort of hue that was soft and bright at the same time. Though beneath the sheet of cloud was a grey that deepens to steel and the leading edge was a brilliant white.

People on the streets were startled, looking up in shock to find the source of the broken wail. You pulled your knees into your chest as you looked at the city line before you. The tears didn't stop flowing out of your eyes, and neither did the man leave your mind.

You hated that he was always in your mind, while he had someone else in his.

You didn't know why you were so hurt by his statement, when it was partially true. The girl beside him was nothing to you, yet your eyes always searched for her when he was around.

You felt a gentle hand on your back and you yelp, startling. Turning your head to face the man, you melt completely into his embrace and he sits beside you, stroking your hair as you buried yours in his sturdy chest.

"What happened?"
He says softly.

"H-he's a son of a bitch. I hate him. I'll h-hate him forever, Tae!"
You wail into his chest and the tall man's taken back to the time where the 8 year old girl would cry into his chest when she was bullied in school.

"Jimin?"

The name that flowed out of his lips now stung like venom and you clutch onto the back of Taehyung's shirt.
"I'll never speak to him again."

You spit out, pulling away from the brunette.

"Y/N.. Why don't you hear him out first?"
You scoff, looking away.

"Believe me, I don't like him as much anymore either. But everyone deserves a chance to explain themselves."

The man's silky baritone flows like waves on the ocean, and your eyes flutter shut, harshly rubbing away the tears.
"Crying is natural, too."

You sniffle, resting the side of your head on his chest, your ear against his rapidly beating heart.
"How could it possibly be? It exposed my vulnerability, something I don't want to be."

"Why do you think the emotion exists, Y/N-ah? It cleanses your sorrows from the inside out. I can feel the pain that swirls in your brain, all the stories you used to keep telling me as a child as if they hold answers. They don't. People do things because their emotions are driving them that way..."

"You're poetic."
You say, voice calmer now that he was with you. His deep chuckle reverberated in his chest and through your ear, and you feel a soft touch on the top of your head, going away as quickly as it appeared.

What you didn't notice, was the caramel haired man standing at the doorway, panting after he had sprinted up the stairs to find you in the arms of another.

His heart clenched when he recognised the man who held you, and made you feel alright. As  planted a kiss on the top of your head, he watched a smile etch out of your pain.

The words that left her mouth next felt like a bullet to his heart, leaving him to bleed to death.

"You're the only one for me, Tae. Not Bora, not that son of a bitch, not anyone else."

The fact that she was unable to pronounce his name without hate overflowing from within her sent his mind into a frenzy.

He turns around abruptly, walking back down the stairs with a weird feeling brimming under his skin. He knew what he did was wrong, but he had to do it for Bora's sake.

He couldn't tell Y/N about the girl's trauma, but he didn't want to anymore. She was already in the arms of someone who was meant for her, who was destined for her, and who genuinely loved her.
