Kaylee's POV

We arrive at a forest, Lloyd shaking me awake. I moan slightly, clinging onto him, as he sighs, then sets me down on the grass, and going to hide the mechs.

"Aah. This is a perfect place to lay low. No robots, no cameras, no problems." Lloyd sighs happily. I roll around in the grass, it's cool dewy texture making me realize it had rained earlier.

"Still, if any aerial drones pass overhead, you better wear this." Nya tosses him a Techno gi, as Jay had called it. "It will scramble their signal so they can't find you."

"Yeah, this is sweet." Lloyd laughs.

"You always say that." I lay on the grass.

"Lloyd?" I hear a slightly familiar voice call out.

"Mom?" Lloyd gasps.

"Oh. What are you all doing here?" Misako notices all of us lying around.

"The Overlord's back and New Ninjago City has fallen under his control. He has Sensei Wu." Lloyd sadly informs.

"Wu's tough. There's a reason he's lived as long as he has." Misako replies.

"Well, where's Dad?" Lloyd asks.

"Yeah, where's Lord Garmadon?" Kai walks up to them. I decide to roll over and hop up.

"He no longer goes by Lord. Here, he is Sensei Garmadon and he won't be back until this evening's lesson." Misako smiles.

"Uh, did you just say Sensei Garmadon?" Jay asks.

"I'm glad he's on our side now. With Sensei Wu gone, we could use the help." Zane replies.

"Come in, but your weapons are not allowed. Ever since Lloyd saved his father, Garmadon sworn an oath to never fight in hope to make up for his evil past. It's an oath he takes very seriously." Misako says, pointing at the weapons.

"But we were supposed to protect these with our lives." Kai protests.

"And never let them out of our site," Jay adds.

"You guys go on ahead, I will stay back and watch over them," Zane says as the guys give him their Techno Blades.

"Haha, yeah!" Cole cheers.

"Thanks, Zane," Kai says.

"You're awesome." Jay smiles.

"You're the best." Cole leaves.

"See ya." Jay waves.

"I'll stay back with Zane. I like the grass here." I reply as Lloyd stops for me.

"But, what if-" I cut him off.

"I'm not a damsel in distress. I'm a ninja. I'll stay here with Zane. Now shoo. Go find your father." I smile as Lloyd sighs and walks over to join the others. Zane sighs as he watches the others leave to Garmadon's Monastery.

"Hey, what's the matter, big bro?" I ask, sitting down on the grass next to him.

"Nothing," Zane replies.

"Alright." I drop it, as Zane looked like he didn't want to talk about it. "So... Pixal." I nudge him.

"She is merely an acquaintance." Zane blushes.

"Yeah. A female acquaintance whom you'd love to know better. You two would be so compatible!" I cheer.

"Why don't you get some rest? You had been hit by one of the robots." Zane replies.

"Fine. But don't think this conversation is over okay?" I smile, flopping on the grass. It was nightfall when I woke up to rustling, and I notice the Techno Blades are gone.

"Zane!" I yell, shaking him, as we see a figure. He pins it down, to reveal Pixal.

"What? Pixal? What are you doing?" He gasps.

"Discontinuing an old droid." She frees herself and attacks.

"You may call him old, but not slow," I smirk, as I summon a rope, and throw it to Zane. He ties her down to a tree as Pixal screams. We lead her up to the Monastery, I holding the weapons, Zane leading a struggling Pixal.

"It's Pixal. But how did she find us?" Cole asks.

"How about we take her apart to find out?" Kai threatens.

"Please, she was only doing what she was programmed to do. She may hold many answers, but perhaps there is an easier way." Zane activates his Techno Blade.

"No. I-" Garmadon moves to stop him.

"Ah, relax. Ain't a weapon, only hacks into things." Jay reassures. Zane hacks into her. She gasps.

"Where am I? Why am I tied up?" She asks as I release the elemental rope.

"You were under the control of the Overlord. How did you find us?" I reply.

"They've mined Sensei Wu's memory. The Overlord knows all of your hiding places." Pixal says.

"My brother. Is he...is he okay?" Garmadon asks.

"Yes, but the Overlord wants your son. His Golden Power is the only way he can escape the digital realm and become real." Pixal informs, and I look at Lloyd worriedly.

"Why did Borg give us the Techno Blades to protect? Why are they so important?" Kai asks.

"Because together, they can reboot the system, wipe the master computer clean, and destroy the Overlord virus for good." Pixal replies.

"Wow." Jay takes his blade.

"Cool." Cole smiles as suddenly Pixal gasps.

"What is it?" Nya asks.

"I didn't come alone." She replies.

"Uh, who else is with you?" Jay asks.

"Nindroids," Pixal says.

"Nindroids?" We look at each other confusedly.

"Where are they? I don't see any of them." Jay says as we all take a defensive stance. The Nindroids reveal themselves.

"Five versus eighteen. Probability of survival too low to quantify." Pixal calculates.

"Never tell me that we're going to die!" I snap, and we start to fight.

"Whoa!" Zane yells.

"These Nindroids are so much faster." Jay groans.

"Nice kick. Now see mine. Ninja, go!" Cole yells. I see Lloyd summoning his energy and I run to stop him.

"No! Your power only strengthens them." I yell, but then see Zane behind hopelessly outnumbered by the nindroids.

"Ninja, go!" Lloyd does Spinjitzu and picks up Zane.

"We need to get out of here," Nya yells, as we quickly run into the Monastery.

"We've got you now." A Nindroid spoke.

"Anyone want to clear a path?" Jay asks.

"Yeah, I've got an idea," Cole says, as he activates the guy's hacked vehicles, as we got on the water wheel, rolling away from the nindroids, who went away in pursuit of the vehicles.

"Won't be long until they figure out we used autopilot. We should get a move on." Cole says.

"I'm coming with you. If the Overlord wants my son, I'm not letting him out of my sight." Garmadon declares.

"I'll stay and look after the monastery," Misako replies.

"Wait. If he wants Lloyd, and the Techno Blades are the only things that can stop him, shouldn't we split up, just in case?" I say.

"Good thinking. Zane's Falcon knows the secret location of my Samurai X Cave. Lloyd, you and your father go and take what you need to get as far away from us as possible." Nya commands.

"Secret cave? I thought we knew everything about each other." Jay sighs.

"Well, a girl's gotta have her secrets." Nya smiles and we high-five.

"What are you guys gonna do? Those Nindroids aren't gonna let you step one foot into the city." Lloyd asks.

"Yeah, Nya. What are we gonna do?" Jay questions.

"We're gonna shut down the power," Nya exclaims, as we quickly start parting ways, but before we could leave, Lloyd stops me.

"Promise me you'll stay safe?" He asks.

"I promise." I breathe. I take him in for a kiss, savoring the familiar candy flavor, before parting. "I'll see you when this fiasco's over." I smile. I follow the others to a circus train, where they told us to hide in a box, which had a false bottom. We fall into their storage room, waiting. As the false bottom opens up, we quickly leave.

"We can get you just outside of the Storm Farms, but you'll have to get to the power substation on your own. Good luck, and abracadabra!" The magician and the clown disappear using a smokescreen.

"Show off." Jay coughs.

"So, Nya, shutting down this power substation. Can we really destroy the Overlord and his Nindroids by simply flipping a switch?" Cole asks.

"Cripple them, yes. Destroy, no. Once we've powered down his army, we still need to reboot the central computer with the Techno Blades. And don't forget, since he knows we have them, they aren't gonna let us just waltz in." Nya informs.

"Whoa! Wait a minute, if shutting down the power turns off everything connected to it, wouldn't that mean Pixal too?" I ask, fearing for my new friend, and brother's possible girlfriend.

"Well, if Zane hasn't figured it out, don't tell him. If we're going to come across more Nindroids, we need to be on our A-game." Cole decides.

"Speaking of which, where is Zane?" Kai asks.

"Pixal's fixing him up. I would've stayed but..." Everyone looks at me. "What? Zane deserves a girl and if it's not Pixal, then I'll make sure they get together."

"Never thought you'd play matchmaker," Kai says.

"I usually don't. But, Pixal and Zane are compatible." I snort.

"Well, let's get some rest. We'll probably need it." Cole replies. We soon arrive and walk outside, where the circus train left as quickly as it had appeared.

"Aah!" Pixal screams as Zane took her into his arms. Cute.

"Careful. They farm the electricity that's in the air. This is where all of Ninjago gets their power." Zane says.

"Looks like we have a welcoming party." Kai points to the tower, where thousands of Nindroids march around.

"The only chance we have of getting in there is to stay out of sight. There's no way we can take them all on." Nya notices.

"You mean we get to be Ninja for a change? Whoo-hoo!" Jay cheers.

"I'll stay back. I'm not built for stealth and cannot assist you." Pixal says.

"Be safe and stay out of trouble. I'll see you later." Zane replies. We quickly sneak into the room, with no problems.

"That's the substation's core. Shut that down, and it's lights out for the Overlord. Now if only we knew which switch." We split up, trying to find a switch. Jay presses a button.

"We say, go go! You're gonna see us rip into it. We just jump up kick back whip around and spin-" The radio turns on.

"Hey, I love this song." Jay smiles, humming along to the tune.

"Turn it off! They can't know we're here." Kai snaps.

"Pfft. Buzzkill." Jay turns the music off.

"None of these buttons are doing anything. There has to be an easier way." Nya sighs.

"Yeah, like maybe just hack the system?" Kai tries to break the power source's glass but failed. "Argh! Stupid technology."

"This can't be harder than it looks." Cole tries, but it didn't work. "Okay, definitely harder."

"Button, button, who's got the button?" Jay says, pressing thousands of buttons.

"Be quiet." Cole hisses.

"I am being quiet. You be quiet." They bicker until we see a picture of a Nindroid outside.

"Nindroids! Our cover is blown! Seal the doors and find a way to shut it down!" Nya orders.

Zane, seeing Pixal on the cameras. "Pixal! Don't seal the door. I'm going out there!" Zane exclaims.

"Are you crazy? We barely fixed you up the last time you fought them." Jay snaps.

"You didn't fix me, she did." Zane retorts, running out, but before we could close the door, a fun-sized droid pops in.

"Argh! Great. Now they come in fun size!" I groan as Fun-Size starts to attack us.

"Hack him with the Techno Blade!" Kai yells.

"Argh! I'm trying! I gotta hand it to the little runt. He doesn't know when to quit." Cole yells as Fun-Size keeps on dodging the attacks.

"Quit?" Fun-Size fires at Cole, but he dodges and it cracks the power source's glass.

"Ah, that's it. Fight without fighting!" Kai yells.

"This is no time for a lesson, Kai!" Jay snaps.

"What are you even talking about!" I screech.

"Hey, Half Pint! Over here! Whoa! We need to provoke him more." Kai yells, as he starts provoking Fun-Size, and cracking the glass.

"Or more Nindroids. Nya, open the door!" I yell.

"I see where you're headed!" Nya opens it and more Nindroids fire at us. "It's working!" She yells.

"Hey, Fun-Size! Over here!" I taunt, dodging his kick as he kicks the glass open, getting caught in the power source.

"Uh, oh." He says, as the power goes out and all of the Nindroids turn off.

"We did it!" Kai cheers.

"Wait! What about Pixal and Zane?" I ask, running outside to see Zane and a powering down Pixal in his arms.

"This is why I wanted to stay back. So you would not s-s-see this." She gasps.

"You knew this would happen?" Zane asks.

"Your mission was important. I-I was not. I am to assist. I assisted." She replies.

"You're using up your reserve. Don't say anything more until we find you more power." Zane orders.

"You've destroyed the only power source in Ninjago. Power will all be nonexistent. We are not so different, are we? We are compatible?" Pixal asks, and I nearly have a fangirl attack, but stop at the scene before us.

"Yes, yes we are." Zane smiles. Pixal powers down.
