The Kabuki serves us food.

"Try the horned wasp eggs. Delicious!" Chen suggests.

"Uh, I think I'll pass." Lloyd stares at the eggs, disgusted.

"Oh, lighten up, Green Ninja. This isn't a trick. This is a feast to celebrate the eight of you making it to the second round." The Kabuki laugh. "And I must congratulate the Master of Shadow's defeat over Master of Poison. She was a bit hard to swallow, am I right?" The Kabuki laugh again. "Laugh harder! Hahahaha!" They force a harder laugh.

"You can relax, Lloyd. Even if there was a fight, now that we told the others about Chen's dirty plot to steal our Powers, we're safe in our secret alliance." Kai says. 

"I tried to enlist Shadow, but that dude's throwing some serious shade," Griffen whispers.

"Well, if you plan to stop Chen, you'll need everyone on board. Each fighter that loses gives him strength. Soon he'll be too powerful for even all of you combined to overcome." Garmadon replies. We continue munching on our food.

A Kabuki brings a batch of fortune cookies to us. "It has come to my attention that there are rumors floating about that I am stealing everyone's power. I am." Chen declares. The Elemental Master's gasp. "But it's all for this staff." Chen claps, and the Kabuki waves their hand fans. "No, no. Not you, staff. I mean my real staff." We all gasp as the staff is brought to him. "The Staff of Elements. It holds the power of your fallen foes, and soon it'll hold all but one. For the last standing in my tournament will win this prize and be the greatest fighter ever in the history in Ninjago!" Everyone starts whispering.

"You lied. What about the spell?" Lloyd jumps up.

"Spell? What spell?" Clouse feigned innocence.

"Sit down Lloyd." I hiss, trying to push him down.

"Don't believe him, it's just another trick. Neuro read Clouse's mind and saw it. Tell them what you saw, Neuro." Lloyd turns abruptly to Neuro. 

Clouse stares at Neuro threateningly. "I-I don't remember. Truthfully, I'm a bit more interested in knowing more about that staff."

"And why should we be so quick to believe everything you say? How do we know you're not lying to get the staff for yourself?" Griffen accuses. Everyone starts grumbling, and I take this chance to pull Lloyd down. He shoots me a glare, which I returned. Idiot. 

"I thought you were agreeing with me!" Lloyd snaps.

"I am, but you are acting like the biggest idiot ever! Chen's already against us. Don't give him another reason to smite us to the ground!" I retort.

"Are you kidd-" Lloyd angrily starts.

"Hey, let's stop now okay?" Kai breaks up our argument, and we turn away from each other, sneaking in a few glares. 

"So much for the alliance," Garmadon mutters.

"They believe him over us?" Lloyd snaps.

A Kabuki starts fanning too close to Jay. "If we're gonna convince anyone, argh, we need proof. Ugh. We need too, oh, find that spell. Would you cut it out!?" 

"Jay, it's me." Nya smiles.

"Nya?" The guys and Garmadon gasp.

"Alright! It's about time girl!" I quietly cheer.

"Lower your voices. I'm undercover. And to be completely honest, a bit out of my element. And I heard what happened to Cole. That was big of you both." Nya put a hand on Jay's shoulder. 

"Love is like war, Nya. Everybody gets hurt." Jay pushes the 

"Is it just you, sis?" Kai asks.

"Dareth's also on the island." She replies.

Dareth on a communication device says. "What up, Ninja?"

"And in contact with Wu via mobile base." Nya continues. 

"If you're undercover, that means you can get close to Clouse's spellbook. All we know is that it's on page 149. I think he might have it in his quarters." I whisper.

"I'll look into it. And it sounds like you have your work cut out for you too." Nya says. 

"How so?" Jay asks. 

"How do you think they found out about your little alliance? Someone in your circle of trust is a spy." Nya whispers. 

"A spy?" We all say, and Nya leaves before Clouse can see her.

"Do you know that servant girl?" Skylor asks, walking up to us.

"Uh-Know that girl? Uh, of course not. Why? Jealous?" Kai asks.

"My fortune tells me Cole and your friend Zane will be breaking out." She hands him the message. "You're lucky this didn't end up in the wrong hands." Skylor leaves.

"He found Zane, I can't believe it. Thanks, Skylor. It's good to know there are some people here we can trust." Kai smiles.

"A spy? Who do you think it is?" Jay asks.

"I have my suspicions." Lloyd looks at Shade. We tell everyone to meet in Kai's room, waiting for Lloyd's verdict. 

"Like I said, I ain't joining your little alliance. I'm gunning for that staff." Shade snarls.

"Hey, this isn't about an alliance. This is about finding out who is the spy. No one leaves this room until we find out who is passing information to Chen." Lloyd looks at Shade.

"Why are you looking at me, Greenie? I'm not your spy." Shade snaps. 

"Perhaps I can help." Neuro uses his Mind powers on us. "I don't know who, but someone here isn't who they say they are."

"How do we know we can trust you? Maybe I should use your power and see inside your head." Skylor taps her head.

"I'd like to see you try, power hoarder." They glare at each other.

"This is what Chen wants, for us to fight. But we don't have to. There has to be a more civilized way around this." Kai reasons, pushing them apart.

"There is. Everyone who's ever worked for Chen has the Anacondrai tattoo on their back. Find the tattoo, find the spy." Garmadon says.

"Anyone object?" Lloyd asks.

Neuro shows his back without the tattoo. "Can I go now?" He asks.

"Not until we check everyone. Who's next?" Lloyd nods the next person forward.

"Let's get it on." Griffen shows his empty back. We all check each other, and Garmadon, which he explained to the Masters, that Chen was his past Sensei, and not the spy. Neuro and Skylor checked him and nods. After that, only Shade and Skylor were left.

"Well, only two left." I sigh.

"Uh, I hate to do this, but it's your turn. Can I see your back, please?" Kai asks.

"How could you not trust me? I came to you with the fortune cookie-" Skylor snaps.

"I'm sorry, but we have to know." Kai shakes his head. 

"Wait. Where'd Shadow go?" Lloyd asks. 

"He disappeared through his own shadow." Jay gasps.

"No shit sherlock." I roll my eyes. 

"There he is. Get him!" Griffen yells, pointing to the corner.

"I ain't your spy, and I ain't your friend either. That staff will be mine." Shade snarls and Lloyd uses his Energy on him, but a portrait of Kai falls on Jay instead.

"Aah! My leg! Ugh. Get Kai off of me!" Jay shrieks, pounding the floor. 

Garmadon tries to stop Shade. "You cast a long shadow, old man." Shade walks out of the door. 

"It was Shadow. He must be the spy." Neuro decrees.

"Ow! Oh." Jay's freed from the picture but suffered a broken leg.

"Skylor, look, I'm sorry." Kai apologizes. 

"Don't. And if you still think I'm the spy, watch me walk out that door." Skylor shows him her back without the Anacondrai tattoo.

"What happened to our alliance?" Jay asks.

"What alliance?" I retort. 

So, we got that little lover's quarrel between Kaylee and Lloyd currently. Hmmm.
