Kaylee's POV

We ride on a blimp above the island for the next round. Lloyd and I were keeping our distance, still angry at each other about last night. It got even worse too.

Flashback

Lloyd and Kaylee were walking back to their room.

"So what was that about?" Lloyd asked, turning on Kaylee.

"I was trying to not get you killed on the spot." Kaylee seethed.

"Well, it sure doesn't look like it." Lloyd scoffed.

"What the hell is your problem Lloyd? You shouldn't start battles that you can't win." Kaylee snapped.

"What the hell is my problem? What the hell is your problem? I thought you were on my side, but no! I didn't expect the love of my life to betray me!" Lloyd retorted.

"I was protecting you!" Kaylee yelled.

"I don't need protection! I should've never confessed to you!" Lloyd yells, before realizing his mistake, cupping his hand to his mouth. Kaylee's eyes fill with tears, taking a step back from the person she loved the most. "Kaylee I-" She ran away, not bothering to hear what he had to say.

End flashback

"What are you looking at, Zippy?" Jay snaps. Of course, the others didn't know that they fought. Even though Lloyd basically broke my heart, I still didn't want him to die. Screw loyalty.

"The next one out of the Tournament." Griffin snarks.

"Uh, heh." Jay nervously looks away.

"Why so scared to show us your back, Shadow? Worried we're gonna find a tattoo and know you're working for Chen?" Kai taunts.

"I hope this next fight is between you and me because I'm gonna put you on your back," Shade vows.

"Tensions are high." Garmadon comments.

"Yeah, not as high as we are now. Can hardly see the island from up here." Lloyd's eyes stare out the window, as I noticed his eyes were slightly red and puffy. Did he cry before? Oh, how I wanted to jump up right there and give him a hug, but then I use all of my willpower to turn away. 

"I've had enough of this. I can't stand heights. Where's Chen?" Neuro opens the door to the control room, but no one's piloting it.

Chen appears on the screen. "How do I know if this thing's on? Oh, oh, oh, I see, the light. Oh, oh, I'm on? Right now? Ahem, ahem. Hello, final eight. I see you are all eager for the tournament to commence so one of you can win my Staff of Elements. Instead of fighting for a Jadeblade, today you will be fighting for something different." Chen shows us a video of Nya.

"Nya." Kai gasps. 

"You know her?" Skylor asks.

"It's my sister," Kai replies. 

"We have an uninvited guest on the island," Chen says.

"And she must be holding the proof that will stop Chen," Kai mutters.

"Find her and you will automatically move on..." Chen declares.

"The spell he plans to use when he takes our powers." Kai finishes. 

"...to the final round!" 

"He wants us all to hunt her down? She won't stand a chance." Jay whispers.

"Then we have to find her before anyone else does." Lloyd orders, and we throw on our hoods.

"In ten seconds, the bottom will drop." Everyone gasps. "But to show you I'm not a bad man, I've given you eight parachutes." Everyone but Garmadon and I rush to grab a parachute. "Sensei Garmadon is there? Shoot, that makes nine. Oh, well, I was never good at math. Heh. Toodle-oo." Chen shrugs. I really hate this man.

"Take mine." I shove my parachute in Garmadon's hand. "Unlike everyone else, I can fly." 

"That guy's love for trapdoors is seriously getting on my nerves!" Lloyd yells as the bottom opens up.

"Toodle-oo suckers." I mock salute, and jump out, falling down. "I just love the smell of me free-falling through the sky," I mutter, looking up, as everyone else falls off. Most people get their parachute in no time, pulling on it and floating. Jay lands on top of Griffin's parachute.

"Get your own chute, Lead Foot." Griffin snaps. 

Jay catches one. "I got one! I got one! Hahaha!" 

Neuro takes Kai's chute. "Whoa!" He takes another parachute. Lloyd and Garmadon each get another parachute and they float down. I decide to land near a small, but deep, and full of seaweed river. I walk around, looking for any symbols, but finding none.

Chen's voice sounds over speakers, starling me. "Hail, combatants, I have left a few treats to help you in the hunt. I hope you use them wisely."

"Yeah right. There's none near me." I scoff. I walk a few more meters upriver, before coming face-to-face with Clouse. 

"I'm sorry Master Kaylee, but your time in the tournament has expired, as will you." Clouse charges.

"Woah, Woah, Woah!" I yell, dodging his attacks. "My time's expired?"

"As we do not need your power, we must get rid of you, so to not hurt our chances at, ahem, world-domination," Clouse explains.

"Well haha to that. I'm not looking to die." I snark. We attack each other before Clouse blasts me in the river. "Shit," I mutter, quickly swimming up, but Clouse uses his dark magic to make the seaweed pull me in. 

"I'm quite sorry, Master Kaylee." Clouse's retreating figure is what I last see before I fall unconscious.

3rd Person POV

The Anacondrai Cultists chant as the captive Elemental Masters are brought in.

"Bring in the prisoners." Clouse declares.

"So the Ninja were right. This was never about any of us winning the tournament. This was always about something sinister." Griffin mutters.

"What gave that away? Was it his cult following, or the giant snakehead?" Shade dryly exclaims. 

"We've been fighting each other for so long, it took us all losing to finally pull us together," Neuro says, and Jay starts humming. "Too bad it's too late."

"Why are you humming? You do know they're about to take our powers?" Kai snaps. 

"Since these cursed shackles have blocked our powers, I choose to use the power of positive thinking. Lloyd and Kaylee will come save us. You just wait." Jay says. 

Skylor turns her head away from Kai. "Go ahead and look away, but you know as well as I do after he takes our powers, he's still gonna need yours," Kai says.

"You don't understand. My father gets everything he wants. I had no choice." Skylor tries to reason with Kai.

"Just tell me one thing. Was it his idea to make me fall for you, or yours? Because it worked." Kai sighs. 

"Lock 'em down. All rise for Master Chen!" Zugu yells.

Chen uses Gravity to levitate his throne above the throngs of cheering Cultists. "Look at me. I'm floating." He almost falls, making the Cultists gasp. "I got it, I got it. I just got distracted by how awesome this place looks. Well done, Clouse. You've really set the mood. And look at this. Soon, I'll have more power. It's good to be me."

"You may have us, but you still don't have the Green and Silver Ninja." Jay triumphantly exclaims. 

"Ah, yes. I bet right now he'll swoop down to save you in the very last moment and teach me a valuable lesson. Well, I'll wait. I love lessons." Chen flops on his throne, waiting.

"What do you mean he?" Kai spat. 

"Any minute now." Jay sighs.

"You didn't hear? Oh right, you couldn't. Well, your precious Silver Ninja? We didn't need her power. We just needed to get rid of her. She's lying in the bottom of a river, dead." Clouse sneers.

"You're lying! Kaylee did defeat you!" Jay snaps, anger rising. Kaylee couldn't be dead. Not when they were so close to seeing Zane again. Oh gosh. Lloyd, Zane, Nya, Sensei, Misako, Cole, Sensei G. They all had to find out. 

"Oh but I did. She put up a good fight, but the seaweed choked her in the end." Clouse smirks.

"NO! HIYAH!" Kai struggles against his chains, determined to punch anyone, anyone who was responsible for her death. The other Elemental Master sat there, not knowing what to do under the Blue and Red ninja's grief for a girl they never got to know.

"That's enough. I'm bored. But here's a lesson: don't be a sore loser. Only one can remain! Chen steals their powers. "The power is mine. All mine!"

"He never came." Jay gasps. 

"Take them to the factory." Clouse declares.

"Father, please, spare Kai. I've seen inside his head. He's different. He can help you." Skylor begs. Although Skylor didn't know Kaylee that well, she would miss the girl very dearly. 

"You like the boy, don't you? If it will make you happy. Leave the red one." The Cultists unchained Kai.

Lloyd, Nya, and Garmadon watch the palace at a distance.

"He knows I'm coming. But I can't just hide here and do nothing." Lloyd says, blissfully ignorant of his love's untimely demise. He felt so bad for saying those words to Kaylee, and at the time he saw her again, he'd apologize to her, and set their relationship straight again. He hoped. 

"We have to wait until nightfall. There's too many." Nya says. 

"And then what? Every minute we're out here, he grows more powerful and-" Lloyd snaps. 

"Son, Chen grows strong by taking from others. But real power does the opposite. It empowers those around you. Like the way, you've empowered me. We will get you to Chen, and you will destroy his staff." Garmadon says.

The rest of the Elemental Masters are brought into the factory.

"Work!" The Cultist orders.

"No, no. It's not working if you love what you do. The power of positive thinking." Jay fakely smiles, using positive thinking.

"Psst," Cole whispers.

"Cole? Zane? Is that you? Oh, you look amazing!" Jay gasps. 

"Not so loud. They think we've escaped and don't know we're here." Cole whispers.

"Why would you come back?" Jay asks.

"Because we're breaking everyone out." Cole cheers.

"Correction. We're building our way out." Zane eagerly points to the Roto Jet covered with a cloth.

"They think we're fixing the noodle machine, but we're fixing a Roto Jet," Cole smirks.

"A Roto Jet? But aren't we underground?" Jay asks, perplexed.

"That's what I've been saying!" Cole sighs.

"What happened to positive thinking?" Karlof asks.

"No talking! And hurry up with that noodle machine." Zugu orders.

"Okay, okay. It will be ready soon. When ready, noodle will fly out of here." Karlof rolls his eyes.

"Hey, do you know where Kai and Kaylee are?" Cole asks, and Zane looks around eagerly for his little sister. He had really missed her. 

"Last I heard, he's getting the 'special' treatment." Jay smiles.

"And Kaylee?" Zane looks up eagerly.

"She uh, Clouse, uh. Zane, Cole, I'm so sorry but..." Jay sighs, tearing finally leaking down.

"What? What's wrong with Kaylee?" Zane asks, leaning in worriedly.

"She, uh. Clouse and she had a face-off, but she supposedly drowned in a river." Jay sighed.

"What do you mean?" Cole asks.

"We were so close. So close." Zane slid down on the floor, dumbfounded. They were so close. He was so close. And she was now... dead.

"I'm so sorry." Jay shook his head.

"I don't believe it." Cole shook his head vigorously.

"What do you mean?" Jay asks.

"She's not dead. Clouse probably didn't see her die. She's probably going to swoop in at any moment, crack a joke about her death, and we'll all be good." Cole shook his head.

"I'm sorry Cole, but she probably did die. Drowning usually gets a person." Zane shook his head.

"I'm sorry." Jay sighs.

"Well, who's gonna tell Lloyd and Nya?" Everyone looks at each other.

"We'll do it together." Jay nods.

Out in the forest, Garmadon reminds Lloyd about their plan.

"Remember, destroy the staff and everyone's power returns. You came here to make your team a whole. Finish the job." They sneak into the palace, but Lloyd accidentally activates the alarms, alerting the Cultists.

"There's too many of them," Lloyd yells. 

"I'll hold them. You two, find Chen." Nya orders. They leave, but Clouse finds them.

"Lookout! Go, son. Leave Clouse to me." Garmadon pushes Lloyd out of the way of a blast of dark magic.

"Good luck." Lloyd nods.

"Your father doesn't believe in luck." Clouse sneers.

"I know. I wasn't talking to him." Lloyd leaves. He runs in the halls but then falls into a trapdoor.

"Whoa! Ugh, Chen, and his trapdoor." Lloyd mutters but then hears the Anacondrai Serpent. "Huh? Uh-oh."

"Lloyd! This way! Come on!" Kai waves a stick with a small flame on it. Lloyd quickly runs to him.

"Kai, you escaped. What happened?" Lloyd asks.

"I managed to slip free, but Chen took all our powers. If we can find them-" Kai says, giving Lloyd a choice.

"There's no time. I have to stop Chen. Alone if I have to. Where's Kaylee?" Kai stops walking and looks at him. "What? What is it?" 

"Lloyd... Clouse killed Kaylee. She's gone." Kai sighs.

"No. No. No, your lying! You didn't see her die! You didn't. No." Lloyd slid down a wall, crying. He literally said that he wishes that he never confessed to her. But he didn't mean it. And now Kaylee had died thinking that he had hated her for such a stupid thing.

"I'm sorry, Lloyd." Kai sighs, and blows out his torch. "This will all make sense when it's over."

"Kai? Kai, where are you?" Lloyd jumps up, walking aimlessly in the dark. He finds his way to the throne room.

"The final round. It all ends here." Chen steps up, smirking.

"You! You turned Kai against me? You killed my girlfriend!" Lloyd yells.

"Like I said, only one can remain." They start fighting. "Oh, please. What use is one Element when I have the rest? Shadow!"

"I know what you're up to. The Anacondrai Wars are over. You're living in the past." Lloyd yells.

"Wrong. I decide when it's over. And who doesn't like a blast from the past? Ice!" Chen laughs manically. "Fire!"

"Whoa!"

"When my followers become Anacondrai, Ninjago will be controlled by those who deserve it, the most powerful. Gravity!" Chen slams his staff on the ground.

"Whoa! What you have isn't power! It's stealing! Aah! Real power doesn't need to take from others. Real power stops people like you." Lloyd fires an energy ball at Chen, but he deflects it using Metal. Chen defeats Lloyd.

"Only one can remain." Chen laughs.

Garmadon and Nya wake up tied to a post.

"Nya, are you all right?" Garmadon asks.

"Yes. What-What happened?" Samurai X nods.

"We have to get out of here," Garmadon says, hearing the Anacondrai Serpent's yell, pulling on his chains. 

"My pet loves the smell of fear," Clouse smirks.

"Where is my son? What have you done with-" Garmadon yells.

"I have your son. But his power will become mine at the ceremony tonight. I'm sorry you didn't get an invite. I'm still a little hurt when my pupil decided to betray me so long ago." Chen snaps.

"But how did you defeat him?" Nya asks. 

"Oh, I had a little help." Kai walks in, and Nya gasps.

"You pitted the Ninja against themselves, just as you did the Elemental Masters," Garmadon says.

"Why, Kai? How could you do this?" Nya cries.

"Chen holds all the power. Lloyd alone never stood a chance. I had to think about what was best for us. He'll let you go if-" Kai reasons.

"I'd rather be snake food!" Nya shakes her head. "Where's Kaylee! I don't believe that she'd let you turn." 

"Ah, The Master of Chaos and Order... That's right. I killed her." Clouse smirks, and Nya's face falls.

Garmadon grabs Skylor. "Untie us!" 

Chen and Clouse laugh. "Or what? You've changed, remember? You're Sensei Garmadon. You're a good guy. Threats don't frighten me." Garmadon pushes Skylor away, Skylor gasping for air. 

"My pet may be napping, but she's always hungry when she wakes up." Clouse sneers.

"You had a good run, Garmadon. But all good things must come to an end." Chen and Clouse laugh as they walk away.

"This isn't you, Kai. Don't do this." Nya begs.

"Sorry, sis. This is the way it has to be." Kai winks at both of them and they smile at realizing his plan.

Kaylee's POV (Uh, no. She didn't die. The story's not ending just yet.)

I wake up in the river yet again, the seaweed slightly loosened. I swim up, gasping for air. It was nighttime. I look around confusedly, gasping for air. Shit! I need to go get the others! I start running in the palace, going to Kai's room. I get on the bed and flip it upside down.

"Okay. Time to find my friends, and kill Clousey-Clouse." I mutter dangerously. I walk in the room, hearing slight struggles from a room. I peer into it. Nya struggles against chains, but can't break free.

"Some help you are, Kai." She mutters. Kai... what did you fuck up this time?

"Nya, it's karma. After personally destroying the biggest snake Ninjago has ever seen, it's only reasonable the second biggest would exact its revenge on me." Oh shit. The big snake.

"Well, shit." I barge in the room, getting 2 surprised looks. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask.

"Clouse said he killed you!" Nya cries.

"Oh yeah. That. Well, too bad for Bitchy-Clousey, I actually survived." I shrug my arms.

"Well, it's good to see you Kaylee." Garmadon nods.

"Good to be- HOLY SHIT THAT'S ONE HUGE SNAKE!" I shriek, as the serpent comes into the room. A Roto Jet comes in, crushing the Serpent and freeing Nya and Garmadon.

"Whoo-hoo! We did it!" Cole cheers.

"Well hello, Master of Earth." Garmadon smiles.

"Uh-uh. Don't forget Master of Lightning." Jay and Cole see Nya running towards them. They reach for her, but she runs past them to hug Zane instead. "Hey!"

"Zane, you're back!" Nya cheers. Should I scare them? They haven't noticed me just yet. I'll scare them. 

"What? What is on my back?" Zane turns his head around. Oh my gosh, I fucking missed him. 

"Karlof, why isn't this thing off the ground yet?" Cole asks.

"Two hands can only work so fast." Karlof shrugs.

"Well, you're gonna fix it, Karlof, because you know why?" Cole says.

"Sure." Karlof smiles.

"Positive thinking!" They all cheer.

"Well, well, well." I imitate Clouse's voice. "What do we have here." Cole, Jay, and Zane look at me with wide eyes.

"We thought you were dead you-you!" Jay yells, running to hug me.

"Well, I didn't die. I ain't a ghosty-ghost yet." I shrug. Cole pokes me. "Hey!"

"I was just checking to see if you were!" Cole throws his hands up.

"It is good to know that you are safe little sister." Zane nods.

"Come here, big brother." Zane and I hug. "I missed you."

"I missed you too." I smile. "But, spoiler alert, we need to stop Baby Chen and get your powers back," I say.

"Once the repairs are finished, we can go." Cole nods. 

"Alright, let's go!" Karlof yells, and we charge through some walls, like normal people. Cole flies in with the Jet, the serpent head accidentally landing on Kai. Sorry, bro.

"Did anyone order some kung pao?" Cole asks, jumping.

"Zane! Good to see you again, buddy." Lloyd smiles.

"And it's good to be back." Zane nods. 

"Kai, Kai, Kai. Who screwed the pooch this time?" I joke, pulling Kai out of the head.

"Kaylee? You're alive?" Kai goes and hugs me.

"I can't breathe here! I need air!" I gasp, and Kai lets me go, with a sheepish expression on his face.

"Sorry." Kai shrugs. 

"It's okay." I run off, attacking more Cultists. 

"Kaylee! Thank FSM you're alive!" Lloyd runs over, and we awkwardly stand there.

"Yeah, thank FSM." I smile.

"Uh, maybe meet up later?" Lloyd offers.

"Sure." We run off in different directions, Kai and Chen race for the staff, but Kai grabs it and destroys it.

"No!" Chen yells as everyone's powers are returned.

"Now bad guys in big trouble!" Karlof turns himself into Metal.

We gather in formation. "Ninja, go!" Using Spinjitzu, we defeat the Cultists.

We finish tying up the Cultists, and stand outside, catching up with each other. It's been a long time.

"No sign of Chen. And no sign of Skylor either." Garmadon shakes his head. I do hope Skylor's okay. Don't get me wrong, Nya and Pixal are great friends, even though Pixals stuck in Zane's head for now.

"If it weren't for her help, we wouldn't have control of the island. We'll find her, brother." Nya nods.

"It's funny. I came here to find an old friend..." Kai smiles.

Zane turns on his funny switch, making us laugh. "Hello, my baby. Hello, my honey. Hello, my ragtime gal. Send me a kiss by the wire."

"I just never thought we'd make new ones," Kai mutters.

"We'll find her, Kai. And we'll find Chen." Garmadon assures.

"Send me a kiss by the wire." Zane dances.

"Hey Kaylee, can we talk?" Lloyd asks.

"Sure." We walk over towards a secluded area.

"I'm so sorry Kaylee, I never meant any of it! I just was angry that you didn't agree with me and when I thought you died, I was so mad at myself and-" I put a finger to his mouth. Idiot. But he is my idiot. I forgive him.

"I forgive you, you idiot." I smile.

"Oh really? I didn't know that be-Hey! I'm not an idiot!" Lloyd huffs. First Spinjitzu Master is he cute.

"But you're my idiot," I whisper, before slamming my lips on his. Kissing passionately, our tongue fought for dominance, pulling away only air, foreheads pressed against each other.

"Why is it that you always make the first move?" Lloyd whispers.

"I'm not sure." I gasp.

"Well, this time, let me." And with that, we kissed again, savoring Lloyd's candy flavored lips.

Everything was okay for now. 

HAHAHA, I loved this chapter... so I wanted to have them make up at the beginning of the next chapter, but I decided this counted as two chapters... BE HAPPY!

Also, Cool thing, because I wanted to, I wanna reveal some old plotlines of the story!

Kaylee's story actually started in Season 4, where her and her twin brother, Karter, the Master of Order would attend. Lloyd and she would fall in love and whatever.

Karter was actually the first oc for this story, then Kaylee.

Karter was supposed to die and pass his powers onto Kaylee.

However, I decided against it and began writing this story. 

Her backstory was supposed to be that her parents were evil, and she was the granddaughter of the Overlord.

However, that didn't work out, and I scratched that out.

So, now I have a good idea of her real backstory, which includes a kingdom, imposter parents, and maybe a different realm. I'm still deciding on the last one.

Kaylee and Lloyd weren't actually supposed to argue in this story, but I felt it was a bit unreal for them to not argue sometimes, so yeah.

Kaylee wasn't supposed to "die" but then drama so why not?
