Promotion of your contest:

(1) You can send out notifications to your followers from your profile. Make sure you check the box that says to notify them.

(2) On the Wattpad forums (not accessible from app), in the one place permitted:

-On a computer, click, 'Community,' then 'Clubs.'

-To the right, under 'Specialty Clubs' is 'Improve Your Writing.'

-At the top of the forum, you will find a pinned thread called, '*Writer Resources* Tips, Tricks, Advice and Notices

-Scroll down to 'Writing Contests'

-You will be brought to a thread where you may list your user-run contest, as well as view the contests of others.

-This is the only place on the forums where you may advertise your contest.

-The thread is refreshed once a month.

(3) As a separate chapter for your contest book, you can hold a 'tagfest.' This is where participants can tag as many people as they like that they suspect might be interested in also entering. Optionally, you can offer a small prize for tagging the most other Wattpad users.

(4) It's not a bad idea to start your contest off by tagging all of your followers. They may be interested in judging or participation, but it's also possible that they will just be willing to pass the word on by tagging others.

-I was surprised by how many followers of mine did this for my contest, and I appreciated it.
