All stories need to have a beginning, middle and an end. Start at one end of the arc - this to your beginning. Build up to the highest point of your arc, which is the middle, where the most exiting things happen. Finally follow the arc back down to ground level, the end of your story, where everything needs to be finished and all the loose ends need to be tied up, unless your making a sequel.
