Dealing with a lot of type of dysphoria Part 1) HIPS

Yo. It' has been a while, no? Well, I am baaaaack.

So. You know how it sucks to feel dysphoric, about everything, body, pronouns, ect... Sooo, I wrote here how I (personnaly) deal with dysphoria in different areas. I'll do it chapter by chapter,  so I can finish it, and starting here by the hips. Hope it'll help!


I- HIPS DYSPHORIA

I wasn't sure if it was really common, like, am I the only one I may ask. Still, I'm putting this here.

*First of all, positivity. I know it sound dumb, but it's important to remember that every body are differents, and there isn't only one guy model. Some are curvy, some are more round, some are more skinny, and that's okay. You are a only model, that's what makes you an individual.

*Don't think of it like a "girly part", related to the fact you've been assignated female or whatever. Take it like any other complex, like a cis guy could have. I know I was -and still am, not gonna lie- pretty much bad because of my hips. Then, I was talking with this friend and she said "hips on a guy can be cute (especially if he is a bottom (I quote))". And... that's true! It can be freacking cute. It's a particularity.

*Okay, I'm not sure about that one, but a piercing could help seing it differently. In fact, piercing on a complex zone is cool for me, because you first see the piercing, then the part it's on. It can help you appreciate it. Plus, it's cool.

*Hide it : If positivity and all doesn't help, try to ignore that part of yours. If you notice them too much when wearing a shirt, a thing that works for me is a vest that you don't close/zip, so it doesn't stick to your body. I also heard about tie a shirt on the hips so that they are less visible (but for me it has the inverse effect: I guess you just have to find the right way for you.)

*Exercice : I heard that if you train and muscle some part of your body, your hips may reduce volume  (BUT don't forget that you can't just have them completly flat: There are still bones. Maybe with testostérone it'll help, but don't force yourself too badly for a goal you can't possibly reach)

What exercices to do for that? (sorry it is just the result of a google recherch)

°some squat could help ( maybe with dumbbells (not too heavy!!)

°side slits 

° going up and down stairs again and again (maybe walking too? I don't know..)

°oblique sheating lying.


FOR SOME POSITIVITY

I don't know much for guys with wider hips, I know I heard of Thomas Sanders (But I'm not an expert, I don't really know what he does or looks that much) but that's all!  Sorry, I don't find so many exemples ... I still have this photo if it can help:

Okay so I'M ABSOLUTELY NOT PRAISING / DOIGN PROPAGANDA ABOUT NAPOLEON III ! 

I just saw this in my history book, and all I could think was "Damn, that guy do have some big hips." (And I know, this is his clothes, but... still!)

Originally, I did a comics for hips positivity, but.. yeah, I didn't put it... Maybe I will later!


So don't sweat it guys, I understand how hard it can be, how it is annoying as hell, frustrating and horrible... But you'll survive it. Remember every body is different, and that's what makes you unique!
