Planners
Maybe your school already requires that you use a planner, but if not, I strongly recommend you use one. You could get an already made planner from a store, or you could get a blank notebook and personalize it.
My school gives out planners at the beginning of the year, so that's what I use.
One thing I struggled with for awhile was actually using my planner. I thought I didn't need it, and I could just remember all of my assignments. I never missed an assignment this way, but it was very inefficient. Yes, most teachers will post the assignments on Google Classroom, (or whatever your school uses) but it's much easier to just have a list written out in a notebook.
Online planners work too. I personally have never used one, but some people I know find them very useful, and so that's what they use.
If you are more of an artsy person, you could decorate your planner, which might help you feel more inspired to use it. You could include seasonly, monthly, weekly, or even daily themes.
Planners can also be used for time management. If I knew I was going to FaceTime with friends at 5, then I could write that in a planner and know that I couldn't study for my history test then. You can also write due dates for assignments so you know which assignments are more important to work on tonight, and which you could save for tomorrow.
If you try to use a planner, and it isn't working for you, maybe try a different system for your planner. If you tried an online planner, maybe try one you can write in. If you try to use a notebook and find it too hard to keep everything straight, maybe try a pre made planner. Don't force yourself to keep doing something that isn't working.
