Diet
A very important part of becoming a good dancer and a good performer is your diet.
You need a healthy, balanced diet to have the strength to perform and practice.
Make sure you're getting enough protein and fiber. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day (no, it's not just a myth).
If you're a girl, take iron supplements and eat plenty of leafy green vegetables, like kale and spinach. Red meat is also a good source of iron. If you're going to take an iron supplement, I recommend Slow Fe. It's easy on the stomach, and small enough to swallow without water. I suck at taking pills because I always feel like I'll choke on them, but I can take Slow Fe just fine.
Calculate the amount of water you should be drinking based on your weight. There are plenty of online calculators that can help you with that. Example: I weigh about 90lbs and I'm 4'10. I need to drink about 60-70oz of water per day. It's a good idea to drink more water and consume more food before a performance (but not RIGHT before) so you have enough energy to give a good performance.
I recently downloaded an app on my phone called MyPlate. It tracks what you've eaten, the calories you've eaten and burnt, how much you've exercised (even just walking around your house/up and down the stairs), how much water you've had to drink, and what you need to eat more/less of. There's also a great community you can connect with, get advice from, and give advice to. (So many dangling prepositions. It's starting to bother me XD)

I've tried a few apps before, and all of them required a lot of money to function. I've even tried writing down how many calories I've eaten and trying to figure out how many I've burnt and it just doesn't work. I'd really recommend the app. #PLEASESPONSORME #NOTICEMESENPAI
Anyway, enough app babble.
Is there anything specific you do to stay fit? Let me know in the comments.
