Punishments
So, just like the rules, make sure your little one is comfortable with any of the punishments you give them. Talk to them about this when their big, it may be awkward but it is an extremely important step.
Ok punishments (depends on the person tho):
🌸Time out
🌼Nap
🌸Early bedtime
🌼Extra chores
🌸Writing lines
🌼No sweets
Asking why:
Make sure you ask why they did it and correct them from there. Alot of the time they're just upset that they're not getting the attention they want, if that's the case then explain to them that they can just ask for attention or that you're a bit busy and will give them attention as soon as you can then of course go from there.
This is good so they understand what they did wrong and what they should do next time instead.
ALWAYS Make sure the punishment fits the crime.
Make sure the punishment fits the crime, I can't stress this enough. If a little sneeks up and stays up past their bedtime than don't make them clean the whole house (or write 35 lines for the long distance cg's) or some crap like that. It's uncalled for.
Instead, have them go to bed early the next day instead so they can catch up on sleep or have them take a nap (or longer nap if they already do take naps).
BIG Nono's:
These are things you absolutely can NOT do as a form of punishment. This includes:
😡Taking away their comfort idem (this can include their phone but that depends on the person)
💢Ignoring them
😡Hitting them or harassment in any way
💢Punishing them for their mental illnesses (Example: Punishing them for them getting anxious)
😡Punishing them for having feelings (Example: If they're crying alot or upset)
💢Calling them offensive names
😡Cussing your little out
