Mistake: High expectations

Great, you just created your fist Wattpad account, you follow a few people, they return the follow. Now you have published your first book, what now? This is another case of expectations vs reality. Do not expect your work to become popular overnight.

How to correct this?

Like any community, it takes a while to find others who enjoy the same content as you. For example, it took me four months to reach 7k on my very first book - might I add this wasn't even a book, it was merely a Larry Story Ideas work. People feel disheartened when they do not see the reads, votes and comments piling in. Be patient, continue to update, regularly success will follow if you are interactive with your audience from day one.
