I did hint in my message board that Sweet Melody will be updated but then I just saw this and I believe this is one of the most important things that many people, fans or ARMYs should consider and remember because honestly......

I was about to rant about concerning fanfics that sexualizes and objectifies Kpop idols to the extremes or to a high degree that it becomes disgusting, but I guess Kim Taehyung's warning will represent a huge chunk of my thoughts about those kinds of fanfics including its varieties if they even have varieties.

I can't provide the link that directs to his message but I guess I'll leave the job for you guys to search it up.

All I can say is:

It's not okay to normalize romantisizing abuse (especially sexual) in 'romantic' relationships through fanfics and young adult/ adult/ even teen novels.

It's not okay to normalize objectifying these celebrities and encouraging sexual fantasies publicly.

It's not okay to normalize this 'dark culture' in fanfics because it's not healthy and it's not 'showing affection and appreciation' to the artists.

It's disrespectful, uncomfortable and damaging once the artists find out.

Now stop being immature while possibly telling me "I don't care. So what if I love reading and writing these stuff?"

"Don't take it personally"

"I write what I want so f*** off"

Right. Try saying that to the idol's face and see if he or she doesn't try to not get hurt and feel disrespected.

Com'n people.

Hopefully, it doesn't get any worse than it already is. Try helping out not only by spreading awareness but also practicing even the most basic respect for people, teach others when you are able to.
