Maddi's visions have been getting stronger. They've become more accurate, and more frequent. It's good at times, like when Isabelle comes for her surprise visits, I can know when she's coming. But other times it's bad. It's just not normal for a Shadowhunter girl and I worry about her. If the Clave found out, who knows what would happen. Use her for their own purpose, probably, or get rid of her entirely. Which I want to avoid. I've grown so attached to her. How couldn't I have? She's my daughter and I love her. Magnus didn't quite know what to do in the beginning, but he eventually got the hang of it and became a great father to her. When she's a teenager, he'll show her how to do perfect makeup. I laughed at the though of Magnus giving her makeup tips for a date or something similar. "What are you laughing at?" Magnus asked.
"Just thinking about our future. How you're probably going to show Maddi makeup."
"Ha, of course. She has to learn from the best."
"What if Isabelle beats you to it?"
"She's my daughter. She's learning from her dad, not aunt. What if I said that in public. Imagine people's faces." He laughed.
"They'd probably think you're crazy, then look at you and think you're even more crazy than they thought."
"But you love my craziness."
"Yes I do. Have you found anything on Maria yet?" The mood in the room shifted from joking to serious in a heartbeat.
"I've tried, but it's like she's disappeared. I'm still waiting on a call from the local hospital, though. She said that she had cancer, so that could mean she's in the hospital."
"You have a point. Wait, doesn't this mean that she could've passed cancer to Maddi?"
"It can if she had cancer during pregnancy, but I did magic over Maddi to see if she had any sicknesses, but she was clean. Nothing unusual. She's perfectly healthy."
"That's odd. Maybe it was killed by her blood. We'll just have to wait until we actually talk to Maria to figure it out. To finally know what she is."

Maddi had another vision again. This time she smiled and said it was something good, but she wouldn't tell me what. We'll have to wait and see.
During breakfast Magnus' phone rang. He picked it up and answers. He mostly just said a bunch of "mmmmh" and at the end he thanked the person and hung up. "Thank you, Maddi for letting us know that today is going to be a good day. We might finally get to know what's I'm your blood."
"That's good?" She answered.
"Yes."
"Yay!"
"What was the call?" I asked.
"Remember the hospital I was waiting a call on? Well that was them. She's there. By the way, I'll have to glamour us so we'll look like family members. That's the only way they'll let us in."
"That's fine with me. Is Maddi going?"
"I don't think she'd react so well to seeing her again. She tried so desperately to get rid of her that it'd be a bad idea to take her."
"Okay. We'll just leave her with Clary."
"That'll work. You're going to auntie Clary's, Maddi."
After we left Maddi with Clary and Jace, we went over to the hospital where Maria was staying. Magnus glamoured us so we look at least a bit related. Magnus went up to the lady at the desk and asked her where she was. "What's your relation to her?" She asked.
"Cousins."
"Down the hall to the left. Last door," she said with a smile. We smiled back and went down the hall. My heart thumped with each step. We might find out, we might now. Maria might kick us out and we'll never know. It can go so many different ways, but I hope it ends up good. We made it to the stark white door and opened it. Maria lay on a hospital bed. He tan skin now extremely pale, and she was deathly thin. It must've hit her hard. "Hello?" Magnus said.
"Who are you?" She whispered when she faced us. Magnus took off the glamour.
"You gave your daughter to us. I'm Magnus Bane, remember?"
"Oh course. That's when I got rid of that demonia. Has she been acting strange?" So she knew. That why she brought her to Magnus and not the institute.
"That's what we came to talk to you about. She has been acting strange lately. She's been having visions, and we would like to know if there's any other type of blood in her. Demon, faerie, anything?"
"I-I don't know. My husband had his own affairs to attend to. I hardly knew a thing. But what I do know that it caused him to go insane and end his life."
"Are you sure there was nothing you knew about? Can you at least tell us his name?" She nodded, but it seemed to hurt her.
"Aaron Nightash was his name." Nightash. I only know one person with the last name Nightash, and that's Luna's husband.
"Thank you. We'll leave you now."
"Thank you. I never want to be caught up in the Shadow World ever again, so please. Don't bother me once more."
"I promise. You won't see us again." Magnus and I walked out the room calmly. He made sure no one was looking and put the glamour on again. His eyes were darker. He was worried. We swiftly left the hospital and got into a cab. The driver was taking us To Clary and Jace's house so we could get Maddi. "Alec," he said. "That's Luna's husband's last name."
"I know. They could've been brothers. I've never heard him mention a brother, though."
"But what does it mean? What did his possibly brother do?"
"I don't know, and I'm hoping it wasn't anything bad. I don't want anything bad happening to my daughter."
"That's all we can hope for." He took my hand in his and kissed it. "We'll hope for her safety because that's all we can do right now."
