Fourteen

I was fast asleep before I hear the earth scream. I wake up startled.

"What the-?!" Jenna yelled coming up from the water.

I look around. I hear a scorching sound and a high-pitched sound. I hear the wind scream. I see a red flare in the distance.

"Yeah, something tells me that's not good." A Jabbalow says.

I start to race through the branches. I run through the leaves. I then come out of the bush and run through the ground. The Jabbalow follows me. She speeds ahead and screams loudly. I see the trees clearing. I'm going beyond the forest. I then almost scream when I see what is happening.

"Okay on a scale from one to ten on the doom scale, I'd say this is a three hundred." The Jabbalow says.

She's right. Fire rages and burns pretty much everything. I watch as the ire lights up the sky. I see the birds fleeing. I see the earth burning. These pink creatures had fire spitters. A metal ball shoots out fire. I watch as they yell in joy and scream in jolly. Some were even singing.

"Wow, their voices are very bad." The Jabbalow says.

"This is horrible." I say.

I hear the wind scream. I hear the cries of the birds. The Jabbalow puts her hands over her mouth. I grip mine. How is this possible? How can these things be so careless? Do these things even have hearts?

"Yeah, I'm thinking we should probably tell someone about this." The Jabbalow says.
