"AMETHYST!!!!" 'Oh great.'

I try to think of what Pearl is yelling about. 'Did she find that pile of her lost swords that washed up in my room? Did the milk spoil again? Was it the-'

"AMETHYST!!! NOW!!!!" 'Geeze you gonna scare Steven!'

I walk out of my room to see Steven in Pearls arms, white spit-up covering Pearls front side and Stevens chin. I can't help but laugh.

"Wow, P. You forget to burp him again?" All she can do is groan and give me a death glare.

"Go. Get. A woshcloth." She whispers shaking uncontrollably. Steven is just grinning away like crazy.

I go over to the kitchen, hop over the counter, and get a washcloth wet with warm water for each of them.

"So what did you do?" I ask

"Nothing! I was just tossing him lightly into the air and catching him again, it was making him laugh." Pearl says getting quiet at the end.

I walk over with the washcloths. I quick wipe off Steven and set him down.

'Nine months and he is still spitting up everywhere!' I think as I walk over and start to clean the spit-up off of Pearls shirt.

Suddenly I realize what I'm doing and a deep purple blush rushes to my face. "Uh, here." I say handing Pearl the cloth. Her cheeks showing a light blue blush as she takes it and trys to wash off her shirt as best she can.

"Uh, I can watch Steven for a while if you want." I offer.

"That's fine, Amethyst, just don't go warping anywhere. His tummy might not like it.

***Time Skip***
Pearl is in her room taking some alone time. 'No warping with him, Amethyst.' 'But he's gotta be so bored here. He might like a change of scenery.'

'Geeze, now my better conscience is starting to sound like Pearl!' I think. 'That's it. ROADTRIP!!! Pack your diapers, Steven, I'm gonna show ya something!'

Pearl
"Honestly, I know he didn't do it on purpose but does it always have to be all over me?!" I say to myself as I get a new shirt.

I hear a knock at the door. "Hey, P?" 'Amethyst!' "Steven and I are gonna go with Ruby and Sapph to the Big Donught. We'll be back in an hour!" She walks away.

'Ruby and Sapphire are back? I thought Garnet left to catch a few gem monsters...' I don't think much about it and decide to clean my swords.

Amethyst
I take Steven and his travel bag of stuff and we head up to the washing machine. We have a warp pad up here and this way Pearl won't hear us leave. I warp us to Roses fountain, its been so long.

The flowers are so beautiful and I feel so at peace here. "This is your mammas fountain, Steven." I tell him as he crawls around playing with his toys. I love telling him stories.

"Rose had healing tears that could heal gems when they got cracked. This fountain has the same magic."

Steven looks at me and smiles, and for a second I see Rose, smiling up at me. My heart stops and I tear up.

"I miss you, Rose!" I hug Steven and he grabs my hair in a hug. I sniffle and I'm much better.

Soon we are playing with his teddy bears. I will walk a few feet and hold one out to him. He will crawl over as fast as he can, grab it, and burry his face in the fur.

I run over with another bear and I trip on a vine. I fall over and I hear a sickening crunch. 'CRAP!' I think as my vision goes fuzzy. I've cracked my gem.

Pearl
I'm sitting in the temple folding Stevens little outfits when Gregory comes in. The last person I want to see.

"Hey, Pearl. I came to ask you and the others something." He says looking around. "Where is Steven?"

"He's out with Amethyst, Ruby, and Sapphire. He's perfectly safe with us." I say.

"Well, I wanted to ask you if I could have Steven live with me for a while. Ya know, you gals have been watching him a lot lately, and gem monsters have been getting out of control cause you can't keep up and-"

"Are you saying we can't handle some monsters and watch Steven?" I say getting defensive. 'He has the nerve to come here and say we cant take care of everything?'

"There are four of us, Gregory, and only one of you. Its simple logic that we can do more than you can at once. Besides, don't you have that vehicle bath thing to work at? You couldn't take care of a 9 month old and wash vehicles at the same time!"

"I'm his FATHER, Pearl! I deserve to see him more than on the weekends! I am his only living parent!"

"THAT IS YOUR FAULT!! IF YOU HADN'T SHOWED UP ROSE WOULD STILL BE HERE!! SHE WOUOD STILL BE ALIVE AND WE WOULD ALL BE JUST FINE!! ITS YOUR FAULT SHE IS DEAD!!! WE ARE KEEPING RO-STEVEN AND THAT IS FINAL!!!!"

Gregory has a look of shock on his face. He looks heart broken and on the verge of tears. I am fighting to hold them back but the fall and roll down my face.

Just then Garnet warps in. "What is going on here?"

Amethyst
I crawl around only able to see dull colors. 'Gotta get to the fountain. Where is Steven?' I think

"Steven, Marco!" I hear him giggle as he starts crawling to me. "Marco!" More laughing! "Polo!" He break into hysterical laughter as I grab him. All the world is a blur as I try to find the fountain edge.

I stand up and take a few steps before I glitch and fall. I roll in the air so I don't hurt Steven but the crack gets worse. I can't hear anything, my limbs are going numb.

The fall must have surprised Steven because he spits-up all over my front side.

"Nevets, ymmut tespu na teg ot emit dab!" 'SDRAWKCAB GNIKLAT M'I!!!'

I can feel the spit-up soaking my shirt. I blink my eyes a few times and I can see the fountain!

I crawl to the edge and blow on Steven's face so he will hold his breath for a second and we fall in. The water washes over my gem and I can feel the sooting healing magic sealing the gem back up. I resurface and make sure Steven didn't swallow any water.

"My eyes were ruined. How did I see the fountain?" I ask aloud.

Steven just looks at me and smiles. Who knows.

We warp to the washing machine and climb down.

We see Greg's van driving away. We walk in and see Garnet hugging Pearl. Tears staining both their faces.

Pearl looks over and she pulls Seven and me into the group hug.

A few minutes later Pearl walks over to the warp pad and goes to vent in private.

Garnet turns towards me. "Hey guys." I say nervously "What's up?" They are kinda intimidating as Garnet.

"You snuck Steven out and dissobayed Pearls order. You endangered you both by cracking your gem and not having anyone else with you."

I look down in shame. "I just wanted to see Rose again. I wanted to show Steven what she looked like."

"And what did you learn?"

"Not to crack my gem without anybody around."

"Amethyst."

"Not to disobey an order from Pearl."

"Because?"

"She only wants to keep us safe because she loves us."

"I suppose you've learned your lesson. Pearl dose not need to hear about this."

"Thank you Garnet!" I say giving her a hug. "I promise I'll be more careful from now on."

Hello, Readers! Its me again. Thankyou for all the votes and feedback, its very helpful. I promise to keep up on the story though I will be starting Marching Band tomorrow. I still have a couple weeks till school starts.

Keep sending chapter requests. Fresh ideas are always helpful. And multiple ideas help the story move along that much faster!

Also thankyou for all the condolences on my friends situation. I will be seeing her at Band Camp tomorrow along with the rest of my amazing section.
