Anime.

Anime was her only escape.

To simply watch an approximately twenty minute long episode of all her dreams, of a world much better than the one she lived in -- it was awesome. Depending on the anime, the characters could have a great background and the story a great plot -- man, she even remembered that she cried when one of the characters died.

Thinking of it afterwards, it was honestly kind of hilarious. She never really cried or cared about what happened in films, but when it came to anime, she became extremely immersed.

Anime was her only escape.

And it was his too.

The upcoming Comic Con daunted her, but she had decided to go. After all, according to the website, there were anime stations, and she just wanted to get some anime merchandise.

Although, she was going alone, so she felt slightly scared. It was her first time, too. She wasn't quite sure how to go in. She's gotten the wristband the night before, so she would be granted access pretty quickly. Should be.

[Name] mentally shook her head as she looked around the packed train. This was her only method to get there - her parents were out for work all day and she wasn't old enough to drive.

The girl blinked her [colour] eyes at the people around her. She didn't like going on public transport -- she preferred to stay away from Society.

Being a shy girl to strangers, [Name]'s eyes darted around the filled train as she tried to not catch anyone's attention.

For the remainder of the 30 minute train ride, she put her earphones in and listened quietly to her Anime songs.

Time passed by slowly as [Name] sat in her spot, but eventually the train slowed down to a stop at her station.

Walking into the Convention Centre, she realised that a strip of space to the left of the large amount of people was where those already with their wristbands could pass. [Name] gave a quick glance at the [colour] wristband around her wrist as she quickly passed down the strip and into the centre.

She saw a brunette dressed in black walking with her friend -- the female version of the Joker -- as she smiled and pointed out all the things that were around. She also noticed, however, the slight sadness in her eyes behind her smile.

[Name]'s eyes narrowed down on the seemingly cheerful brunette -- she was the same as her. Close, yet so far away from everyone.

Shaking her head to get rid of the questions whirling around. She needed to find the anime stations -- her questions could wait for later.

She found a couple Anime stations, buying things to her liking. But the stations were scattered here and there, and she was trying to find a couple more to spend the rest of her money.

[Name]'s strong [colour] eyes looked past the large crowd as she squinted into the distance. Her eyes caught an important piece of wording. Anime Diner ... Or something. There. That was where she needed to go.

Squeezing through the crowd was somewhat easy as she was accustomed to quick travelling. She didn't need to slow down -- she had no one to talk to, after all.

Arriving at the station -- it was
really called Anime Dynasty -- a couple bobble heads caught her eye.

A couple of them were from Fairy Tail, an anime she somewhat enjoyed but had given up on. There was no real plot, honestly. But she still liked the characters. She saw a Rogue bobble head and immediately went to get it.

There was one problem.

When she went to get it, at the exact same moment she'd put her hand on it, another hand was on it too.

[Name] felt a surge of sadness. Rogue was her favourite character of Fairy Tail. Not to mention, this was a limited edition - he was in a Frosch costume and the small Exceed was with him too.

'Ah, you can have it. Sorry.' A sheepish voice was heard from the owner of the hand. The socially awkward girl looked up. The girl -- androgynous boy -- let go of the bobble head, rubbing his head nervously.

[Name] wasn't thinking for a second. What she was thinking about was the boy's hair. It was a serene shade of blue -- almost like the sky. It was quite a pretty colour.

'Um ...' The unthinking girl looked at the bluenette.

'Ah, I'm Nagisa Shiota.'
'... [Full Name].'

Surprise suprise, she'd managed to introduce herself. At least she hadn't stuttered.

'Um ...'
'Hm?'

Nagisa blushed a pale pink.

'Could I hang out with you for the rest of the day? You see, none of my friends are Otakus and, well, I'd rather walk around with someone ...'
'You're an Otaku?'

The blue-eyed (dragon) boy slightly flinched.

'Ah, yeah ...'
'Otaku friends?' [Name] held out her hand, a hidden light dancing within her eyes.

'Huh?'
'Hm, well, I don't have any friends that like Anime or Manga, so sometimes our conversations get pretty boring. Oh, and I don't have many friends to start off with.'

The seemingly shy girl was finally attempting to make friends. Ok, a friend. That was an Otaku.

'Sure.' Nagisa shook [Name]'s hand, his eyes looking down. He was pretty nervous.

'Yay. Oh wait, I need to pay for this ...'
The girl faced the direction of the counter, taking out her wallet to see how much money she had left. There probably wasn't going to be that much left, considering the over-priced items she'd already bought.

Pulling out the remaining notes and coins she had left, [Name] saw she had only just not enough money to buy the bobble head.

'Fudge chickens.'
Nagisa gave a small smile at the [colour]-eyes girl's choice of words.

'I'll pay for it.'
'Huh? Wait, no ...'

Too late. The bluenette had already taken the bobble head and gone to the counter. [Name]'s eyebrow twitched as Nagisa quickly came back, placing the Rogue figurine in her hands.

'So, do you know where the other Anime stations are?'
'I know where a couple others are, like Kaika and Anime.com ...'
'Could you lead me to them?'

The female placed the bobble head in her bag full of [Anime] merchandise, then yawned and motioned Nagisa to follow her.

'C'mon, I'll show you.'

The bluenette smiled.

Otaku friends, huh?

Sorry if ya don't like it. And yeah, I'm in there. Went to my first ComicCon with my dear friend Emma :P Bought a Koro-sensei plate and AnsaKyou shirt. I might put pics up later.

Sorry this is late, I'm currently in Alice Springs for table tennis Nationals. And, well, the wifi isn't that great. It takes ages to upload and probably even longer to switch accounts. It depends on how many people are on. The whole resort uses the same wifi, so yeah.

Enough bad stuff.
