Time for Nagi to come in!
Hope you enjoy!
----------------------------------------------
A person's true self is naturally hidden.

One might be shy, but when they go out, they may be exuberant; loud.

It depends on multiple factors.

1, the people around us.

If one with a strict family, one acts polite; they don't want to get in trouble. Yet when one is around people who are considered 'bad', one acts loud and 'silly'.When one is around class, they act either kind or uncaring; when one is around strangers, they act either shy or outgoing.

It's simply showing different sides of the same person, the same face.

2, where we are.

In a restaurant, one acts polite; at home, one may act rebellious; at school, one may act cold -- different places, different sides.

Yet -- what happens when one writes about themselves, to another person?

One learns new things about themselves, and new things about the other person.

One also tends to show their true self.

Nagisa Shiota learnt many things about himself, and the girl he was writing to.

He sat, slightly hunched, over his simple wood desk, blue hair down.

He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes - it must be eight or nine in the morning, since he'd last woken up at six.

Nagisa's sleepwear was a simple adornment of a blue long sleeved shirt and blue pants.

His eyes were scanning a piece of paper in the dim lamp light - he was reading a Letter.

The Letter was neither a bill nor a letter from one of his relatives - it was from his 'pen pal'.

Korosensei - the Mach 20 octopus who was going to explode the earth unless the students from Class E killed him first - had decided that getting the students to write to someone from another school would help them to 'socialise'.

'It is a chance for you to meet new people!' Had exclaimed the ecstatic teacher.

Thus they were assigned a student from a nearby school.

Kayano was given a sweet loving female whom extremely enjoyed puddings, similarly to the green haired girl.

Karma was given a girl with a mind who thought the same as him.

Kanzaki was given a gamer girl.

All of the students had been given people who were like them in personality, regardless of the gender.

All except Terasaka.

He had been given a whiny social butterfly girl as pen pal.

But, Nagisa was quite glad of his pen pal - regardless of them being a girl.

She was shy, but outgoing at the same time.

Nagisa felt like he could see the girl through the words.

Lifting his heavy eyelids, he looked at the letter once more.

'Dear Nagisa-kun,'

The letters generally started that way. Then, she talked about her life - [Name]'s life - with hints about what she liked.

'There's a book convention on the 10th this month at 10 am. I would like you to come so that we could meet in person.'

Ah, yes - she liked reading.

Nagisa shifted his eyes to the calendar on his wall.

'10'

The 10th ... That was today!

Looking at the notes underneath the date, he sighed in relief.

'Go to arcade with Karma-kun today at 10 am'

Well, if he'd written it down, it meant that he had gotten 'permission' from his mother.

He then decided to check the time on his alarm clock.

'9:32'

Great ... So he had around half an hour to get ready and go to the convention.

Well, he'd better get started then.

Opening his wardrobe, Nagisa selected a simple assortment of a white shirt and blue shorts. He quickly got changed and headed to the bathroom.

Brushing his teeth carefully and properly, he multitasked and tied his hair up in the twin pigtails he usually had at the same time,

'9:37'

Huh ... He'd taken longer than expected.

'I'm leaving!' He called back into the house, then began walking towards where the book convention was.

Yet a feeling that he had forgotten something dawned on him.

Oh right! He needed to call Karma and tell him that he wasn't coming!

Pulling out his phone, he quickly called the red-haired boy.

The phone rang as Nagisa waited in anticipation.

A second passed in slow motion. Then another.

'Hello?'

Yes! He had answered!

'A-ano, Karma-kun, I can't come to the arcade today ...'
'Haaa, is it because of a girl? Heh, have fun!'

The phone beeped as the call was abruptly ended.

What? How ... Had he known that it was because of [Name]?

Creepy ... Well, it was somewhat expected. The bluenette and redhead knew each other well, after all.

Time ticked by as Nagisa hurried to the book convention. He arrived there with two minutes to spare.

The book convention was amazing, he thought, as he wandered through the stands.

Multiple stands were dedicated to a single author, then there was the occasional stand for manga or classical literature. There was even a stand with English and French books! All the people at the stands were friendly and talked fluently, explaining easily in another language if needed. There were many people there - the book convention must've been more popular than he had thought.

Nagisa shook his head and attempted to find [Name]. From her letters, she had [Colour] hair and [Colour] eyes.

He saw a girl with [Colour] hair, but she had blue eyes. Then another with [Colour] eyes but brown hair.

'Nagisa-kun?'
'Huh?'

The shocked bluenette turned around and saw a beautiful girl with [Colour] eyes and [Colour] hair. She was stunning, wearing a simple set of casual clothes that brought her eyes out.

'I-I'm [Name].'

Ah, so [Name] was here then. Good. Nagisa shot a quick glance at his watch.

'10:03'

Wow, and he had found her after only five minutes of searching!

'Nice to meet you, [Name].' The androgynous boy cast a sheepish smile at the shy girl. 'W-where do you want to go?'

Those six words seemed to bring the [Colour]-haired girl to her senses.

'A-ah! There's an English stand with books from an author I like ...'

Nagisa gestured outwards, a pink tint dusting his cheeks. 'Lead the way.'
'Aye sir!' [Name] immediately grabbed the bluenettes hand, paying no attention to the rising red on his face, and dragged him through the crowd.

Trying to keep his balance, the shy boy ran after the [Colour] eyed girl. [Name] began to slow down, and Nagisa followed.

'Here!' The girl had stopped in front of a stand seemingly dedicated to an English author named 'J.K Rowling'. The bluenette looked around, catching words in English that he knew, automatically translating them to Japanese.

'W-wow ...' He was speechless at the sheer amount of books. [Name] seemed to be eyeing a book named 'Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets'. It looked like she was looking at a pile of different covers for the same book. Looking at the blurb, Nagisa caught a few words like 'snake' and 'car' from his limited English vocabulary.

'D-do you want it?' he asked the shy girl. She took a moment to respond, as though she had only just processed his words.

'Ah, no! I already have it, I was just noticing the different covers. I have this one!' she pointed a slender hand at a seemingly hand-drawn cover of a black-haired boy sitting next to a redheaded one in a - was it flying? - blue car.

'Oh, ok.' honestly he was embarrassed at his mistake, scratching his cheek with his finger.

'It's ok!' [Name] gave a quick, shy smile, and continued to look around the stand.

And thus Nagisa's day was full of wandering around piles of books with the pretty girl. Time passed without any warning - he didn't have the time to check the time as he wandered around.

After all, time flies by when you're having fun.
