My Strange Family, The Addams Family.
This is based after The Addams Family Values. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend watching both movies.
"Are you sure about this Tintin? My adoptive family is very... odd. They are not your conventional suburban household family." I asked my boyfriend as the taxi pulled up the driveway to the looming grey mansion ahead of us.
"Darling, if I can survive being stranded in a sarcophagus in the middle of the Red Sea, I'm certain that I can survive your family. Don't worry." he said kissing my hand.
"I don't know, my siblings might try something. They don't really like to share my affection. They tend to fight among themselves about who gets to spend time with me. They never really end too well. And make sure to keep Snowy away from Grandmama. She might get ideas." I said scratching behind Snowy's ear. The taxi stopped and Tintin gave the driver the money we owed. Tintin got out and opened my door for me like the gentleman he is.
I got out and smoothed down my (f/c) dress. Tintin grabbed our suitcases from the trunk of the taxi and we walked up the steps to the large door with Snowy following close behind. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
The door opened to reveal a freakishly tall man in a tux. He smiled down at me and hummed a very deep greeting. "Hello, Lurch. It's good to see you again." I said as I hugged him. He chuckled deeply and hugged me back. we parted from our hug and he turned to Tintin who was surprisingly unfazed by Lurch's size. Snowy, on the other hand, was cowering behind Tintin's leg.
"This is my boyfriend, Tintin, and his dog Snowy," I said gesturing to them. Lurch nodded to him and smiled. He took our bags and brought us inside.
"Welcome home, ma fille." I heard a soothing voice call from the stairs. I turn to see a woman in black on the steps. I smiled, barely able to hold in the tears.
"Hello, Maman," I said walking to my mother and hugging her.
"My darling little girl. Home at last. And with a special guest." she said with a smile as she looked behind me.
"And you must be Tintin. I've heard so much about you in (Y/n)'s letters. I am Morticia Addams, (Y/n)'s mother." she said holding her hand out. Tintin took it and gave it a peck.
"Delightful to meet you. (Y/n) has spoken fondly of you." he said with a smile.
"The children will be delighted to see their dear sister again." Mom said smiling.
"You wrote in one of your letters that we had a new addition to the family not too long ago. Where is the little monster at?" I asked, eager to see my new baby brother.
"He is in the nursery taking a nap. When he wakes up, I'll bring him down. Go and greet your father. He's in his study." She said pointing down the hallway.
"Thanks, Mom!" I called as I dragged Tintin down the hall with me.
We made it to the door and I grabbed two fencing swords from the wall and handed one to Tintin. "You'll need one of these. You remember how to use this, right?" I asked swinging the sword around.
"How could I not? Living with you, it's a daily match." He smiled as he crossed his sword with mine. I grinned at him. "I do believe I'm starting to rub off on you Mr. Tintin." I said stealing a kiss as we entered the study.
As we entered, a knife flew above Tintin's head, trimming a few hairs from his quiff. "Ha Ha! My darling little monster has returned home! And with a young man as well!" My father said with his arms out wide as he stood on the desk, sword in hand. Tintin pulled the knife from the door and handed it to me.
"Not the first time a knife's been thrown at my head." He said lifting the sword up.
"Ha ha! A man of good spirit!" Dad said as he leaped off the desk and pointed his sword at him.
"You must be the young man my daughter speaks of in her letters. What's your name dear boy?" He asked as he lunged forward and Tintin parried his move.
"Tintin sir. A pleasure to meet you." He said making his move on my father. Father easily blocked it. "Gomez Addams. The pleasure is all mine. What do you do for a living young man?" He asked as he thrust his sword forward to which Tintin blocked and threw him off balance.
"I'm a journalist, sir. I investigated where there is trouble and put a stop to it. Although trouble tends to find me first." He said taking a swipe at Father, cutting his sleeve. Father smiled and laughed. "Good move dear boy! Taking lessons I presume?" He asked clashing his sword with Tintin's.
"How can I not? Your daughter is an excellent teacher." Tintin says with a smile. "Oh, you flatter me." I said sarcastically with a smirk on my face. The fight continues until Father disarms Tintin and points his sword at his face.
"Good show young man! I have to finish up some business here, run along and make yourselves at home." Father says as he sits back down at the desk. "Love you, Father." I called as I grabbed Tintin's hand and walked out. "Love you too little monster." He called back.
"That was fun." He said as he smiled at me. "He didn't scare you too bad, did he?" I asked nervously. "Not at all, he was delightful. I can now see where you get your skill from." He said kissing my cheek. "Good, because there are still several others I want you to meet," I said as I lead him to the living room where I saw Uncle Fester wrestling with Thing.
"Hi there Uncle Fester. Did you miss me?" I asked. He turned around and smiled widely. Thing jumped up and down in excitement.
"My darling little niece, all grown up!" He said as he lifted the two of us and hugged us. He set us down and put his arm around Tintin's shoulders. "And this must be the lucky man you've talked about in your letters. What's your name?" He asked excitedly.
"Tintin sir. A pleasure to meet you." Tintin says as he held out his hand.
"No formalities, dear boy. Call me Fester. You've made her very happy, and that makes you part of the family." Fester says with a smile.
Thing made his presence known by tugging on Tintin's pants. "Oh! Hello there Thing. (Y/n) has told me a lot about you." He said greeting Thing.
"Have you met the children yet?" He asked. "Not yet." Tintin says. "Oh, they'll love you! Especially Wednesday. She adores hearing about your travels abroad." Fester says patting Tintin on the back. "Children! There's someone here to see you!" The sound of two pairs of feet running filled the room.
"Wednesday! Pugsly!" I yelled as I held out my arms for them to hug me. Two pairs of arms wrapped around my waist and squeezed me.
"We missed you (Y/n)! We were wondering when you were coming back." Pugsley said looking up at me. "Aww. I missed you guys too. I brought someone along with me that I think you'll like." I said stepping aside to reveal Tintin.
Wednesday stood there for a moment before speaking. "About time you showed up. (Y/n) wouldn't shut up about you in her letters. Is everything she said true? That you went to the moon and stopped a tyrant from taking over the world?" she asked with a monotone voice. Tintin smiled and knelt down to her.
"Well, I didn't do them alone. I had my friends the Captain and Snowy, and I had your sister right by my side." Wednesday stared at him with her piercing eyes, trying to intimidate him.
"Hurt my sister in any way, and no one will ever find you." She said lowly. "I have no intention of hurting your sister. I can promise you that." He said. When he didn't shy away like most people did, she looked up at me and nodded.
"Dinner time!" I heard Grandmama call out. Then I realized something. "Wait a minute, where's Snowy?" I asked panicked. "I saw him following Grandma into the kitchen earlier." Pugsley said with a smile. I dashed to the kitchen without another word. When I got there, I thought that I would see Snowy in the oven. But instead, I see him standing next to Grandmama with his tail wagging.
"Here's another little treat for you." Grandmama says as she fed Snowy a piece of meat. I sighed out in relief. "Thank goodness. I thought you would end up cooking him." I said giving Grandma a hug.
"No, he's too thin. But he is very sweet. And I enjoy his company. And here is the owner I assume." She said turning to Tintin. "Yes, that's me. A pleasure to meet you." He said taking her hand and giving it a peck, making Grandmama giggle. "You picked a good one (Y/n). Make sure to keep him around." Grandmama says as she pats my head. I just smile and roll my eyes.
"Mr. Tintin, will you sit by me?" Pugsly asks pulling on his arm. "No, me!" Wednesday says pulling on his other arm.
"Guys, he can sit by the both of you." I said with a smile. The two grinned and raced to the table. "The food may not look that appetizing, but it is actually very good." I whispered to Tintin as he leads me to my seat and pulled out the chair for me. "Thank you." I said kissing his cheek. He smiled at me and took his seat across from me, between my two siblings.
Mother and Father came in while carrying a little bundle in their arms. I stood up and walked around the table to them. "Is this the little critter?" I asked barely containing my excitement. "This is your new brother. Pubert." Mother said handing him to me.
I look down and see an adorable pale face with slick black hair and mustache look up at me. "Hello, Pubert. I'm your big sister. I'm so happy to meet you." I said as tears of joy slipped from my eyes and I gave the baby a kiss on his forehead. Pubert giggled and tugged at my hair.
"Tintin, come and meet my brother." I said turning to him. He stood up from his seat and looked down at the baby. "He looks just like his father." He said as he gave him his finger to hold on to. "Careful, he might bite." I said, knowing how Addams babies are.
"He's fine. Besides, I've had my shots." He said winking at me. I smiled at him and gave Pubert back to Mother. We all sat down as Grandmama dished us up. It was one of my favorite dishes that she makes. I immediately started eating.
"Wonderful as always Grandmama." I said whipping my mouth and getting seconds. "I agree. Although it is different than anything I've ever eaten, it is marvelous. I'd like to know the recipe." Tintin said as he ate. And I was worried that he was going to throw up. But he genuinely liked it. "Aww, you flatter me. I'll write it down for you later." Grandmama says as she ate.
"How long will you be staying for?" Uncle Fester asked.
"We'll be staying here for a few weeks and then we'll be heading back home." I answered.
"Fantastic! We shall throw a party for you then! And invite all the Addams clan. And your other friends as well if you wish." Father said with a smile.
"A party? For me? Are you sure that it wouldn't be too much trouble?" I asked.
"Don't give it a thought. Everyone has heard of your adventures with this young man. They'll all be delighted to see you again and meet this fine fellow. What do you think dear boy?" Father asked turning to Tintin, who was dishing himself a second helping.
"I think it would be fantastic. If I may, would it be alright if I helped plan the party? I've got a few things that I'd like to discuss with you, sir." He said with a look in his eyes that I couldn't decipher. Father looked back at him and smiled.
"But of course my dear boy! We shall discuss the details after dinner in my office." I smiled as I looked around at my family. Although I may have been adopted into this strange family, I loved them all the same.
~ Time skip to the party. ~
I put on the last bit of makeup and check my hair to make sure nothing is out of place. I smiled and smoothed down my dress. I got it when Tintin and I were honored for foiling a plot against the king in Syldavia.
I heard a knock at my door. "Come in." I called out. The door opened to reveal the ever stone faced Wednesday. "Hey there Wednesday. What can I do for you?" I asked her. She came in and silently shut the door. She came over to the vanity in my room and stat down in front of it. I smiled, knowing what she wanted.
I turned her chair to face me and got some black eyeshadow. "Close your eyes sweetie." I told her. She did as told and I began to work. After a moment of silence, she finally spoke.
"I missed you." I smiled at her and kissed her forehead. "I missed you too Wednesday. I know you don't see me that often, and I know that bugs you. But I want you to know, no matter where I am, no matter what happens, I will always love you and Pugsly." I said as I began to apply some lip gloss on her.
"So, have you met anyone recently that doesn't want to make you murder them?" I asked with a teasing smile. Her pale cheeks reddened in the slightest.
"No." I smiled, knowing she was lying. "Where did you two meet?" I asked. She looked down at her hands.
"At summer camp. We burned down Camp Chipawha together. I scared him to death, but he still stuck around. " She said, her blush darkening.
I hugged her and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "I'm happy for you. Is he going to be at the party?" I asked.
"Yes." She answered plainly. "Good. Because I would like to have a word with him as well." I said finishing up her makeup.
Just as I had finished, there was a knock at the door. Wednesday stood up and answered it. "Hello there, Wednesday. Is your sister ready for the party?" I hear Tintin's voice ask. I go to the door to see him in a very nice tuxedo.
"You clean up nice. Hopefully no one will decide to crash the party and we get whisked away on another adventure." I said ruffling his quiff and kissing his cheek.
"Don't say that Darling. You'll jinx us." He said kissing my cheek. "And you look absolutely beautiful." He said with a grin. "Let's go meet the rest of the clan, shall we?" He said as he held his arm out for me. I wrapped mine around it and smiled.
"We shall. Come along Wednesday. I want to meet this young man of yours." I said taking Wednesday's hand and pulling her along with us.

As we entered the ballroom, I was bombarded by hugs and kisses from various members of the Addams Clan. Then I saw a familiar body of hair in the crowd.
"Cousin It! It's so good to see you!" I called out as I made my way to him with Tintin following behind. I walked over and gave him a hug.
"Hello there (Y/n)! I see that you've brought your boyfriend along. A pleasure to meet you." Cousin It said in his high voice as he turned to Tintin. "A pleasure to meet you as well. I've heard good things about you." Tintin replied.
I turned my head to see Wednesday with a boy across the room. "I'll be right back. You two keep chatting. I won't be long." I said giving Tintin a kiss. I made my way to the pair.
"So this is the young man you've told me about. I'm (Y/n) Addams. Wednesday's older sister." I said holding out my hand for him to shake.
"Joal Glicker, Wednesday told me about you when we were at summer camp." The brown haired boy said nervously.
"Don't worry, I don't bite. So, how do you like the party?" I asked, hoping to help him calm his nerves. "It's different, but I like it." He said with a smile.
"Hello again Darling." I heard from behind me as a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist. "Hello again. Did you enjoy your chat with Cousin It?" I asked giving him a peck. "I did. He's a pleasant man." Joal looked like he was going to explode.
"Y-you're the European reporter Tintin! I'm Joal Glicker. I'm a big fan of your work." Joal blurted out holding a shaking hand. Tintin shook it and smiled.
"A pleasure to meet you young man. Always good to meet a fan. A friend of Wednesday's I presume?" Joal nodded his head excitedly. "Wonderful to meet you. You wouldn't mind if I steal (Y/n) for a little while, would you?" He asked taking my hand. The two nodded and ran off into a different direction.
"They are so cute together. I approve of that young man. Wednesday may deny it, but she likes him just the same." I said as I watched them.
"I'm glad you like him. Come along, the Captain and the others are here as well." Tintin said as he led me to the punchbowl where our friends were chatting together.
There was the Captain, Professor Calculus, Thompson and Thomson, Skut the pilot, Tintin's old friend Chang, and of course, Miss Bianca Castafiore.
The Captain was the first to notice me. "Good to see you lass! I was wondering where you were." He said as he hugged me.
"Good to see you too, Archie. Are you enjoying the party?" I asked, nervous about what he'll think of my family.
"Fantastic! Although your family is an odd group, they're a swell bunch." He said with a smile.
Professor Calculus was the second to greet me."Hello there dear. How are you?" He asked.
"I'm doing great, are you enjoying the party?" I asked, hoping he remembered his hearing aids.
"The party is splendid. I was having a wonderful chat with your younger brother about volatile chemicals." He answered. "Although I wonder why he would need to know?"
"It's best not to worry about it. He loves chemistry." I answered, patting him on the shoulder as I went to greet the Thomson Boys. "How are you two liking the party?"
"The party's fantastic! And seeing your family does explain a lot about you." Thompson said with a smile.
"To be precise, the party explains a lot." Thomson chimed in afterwards. I giggled at the two and went to greet Skut.
"Long time no see Skut! How have you been? Haven't seen you since that weird flight incident." I said giving him a hug.
"Indeed! Managed to get time off work to come. The party is great." He said with a smile.
"I'm glad you could come, it would have been a shame if you didn't. Enjoy the party." I said as I walked over to Miss Bianca.
"Ah! There's the Lady of the hour! So good to see you!" She said as she gave me a bone-crushing hug.
"Good to see you too, Miss Bianca. How do you like the party?" I asked as she let go, allowing me to breath.
"It's simply Marvelous!" She sang out. "Such an odd group of people, but oh so interesting." She said, raising her head high.
"I'm glad you could come." I said as I excused myself to find Tintin chatting with his friend Chang. I snuck up behind him and hugged him from behind.
"Hello there Darling. You remember Chang, right?" Tintin said, pulling me forward and hugging me.
"Of course I do. We hiked up the Tibetan mountains to save him. How could I forget? How have you been? All healed up?" I asked.
"Yes, and doing well. Thank you for inviting me. Seeing your family does explain a lot though." He said with a teasing smile.
"You're not the first to say that, and you won't be the last. I'm just glad you were able to make it." I said hugging him.
"Come along Darling, I have a surprise for you." He said as he took me by the hand and led me away from the table and headed to the dance floor.
As we walked to the center of the dance floor, everyone cleared out of the way. "What's going on?" I asked Tintin. "You'll see." He said as he pecked my cheek and stood by the others. I then heard the familiar music and I knew exactly what this was.
"Everyone, your attention please! Tonight we dance for our beloved daughter. She may not have been born into this family, but she is no less an Addams. And so, in honor of her return home, we dance the Mamushca." Father said circling me.
The Mamushca. A dance that is reserved for only for the most honored people to the Addams Clan. It's passed down from generation to generation, and is only danced at special occasions.

After the dance, I hugged Father close and he swung me around like he used to do when I was younger. "I love you so much Father." I said, tears of joy leaking from my eyes.
"And I love you, my little monster. I am so proud of you. You grew to be such an amazing woman. But never doubt that you'll always be my little monster." He said kissing my forehead.
"Sorry to interrupt, but might I steal (Y/n) for a bit?" Tintin asked from behind me. Father released me from his hug. "Of course. You two have fun." He answered and gave me another kiss on my head.
I grabbed Tintin's hand and he led me outside to the Addams cemetery. The night was calm and still, illuminated by the pale light of the moon. We walked until we made it to the bench at the edge of the cemetery.
We sat down together and enjoyed the silence of the night. I leaned my head onto his shoulder and sighed happily. "What? Something on your mind?" He asked as he wrapped his arm around me.
"I was just remembering the first time we met." I said with a smile, looking out into the distance. He chuckled and laid his head on mine. "As was I."
"I remember walking through the cemetery back home, and seeing some men digging among the graves. I thought it was a bunch of grave robbers." I said, slipping my hand into his.
"Mr. Jones had passed away just a few days before. Those thugs thought that burying me there wouldn't cause too much suspicion and that they could get away with it." He said rolling his eyes.
"It would have worked too if I hadn't gone through the cemetery." I said with a shrug. "But either way, I'm glad I was there in time to dig you out."
"As am I. You saved my life and stole my heart that night. You've made my life so much better. And I can't imagine my life without you in it." He stood from the bench and knelt down in front of me.
"(Y/n) Addams, you are the most extraordinary woman that I've ever had the chance of meeting. You bring more excitement into my life than any adventures I've been on. And I never want to have another adventure without you. Will you marry me?" He asked as he held out Thing who was holding the ring.
I covered my mouth in shock as tears of joy ran down my face. "YES!" I squealed as I tackled him in a hug. He smiled as tears of his own ran down his face and he hugged me like his life depended on it. Thing handed Tintin the ring and he put it on my finger.
I admired it on my hand before pulling him into a passionate kiss. In the distance I could hear the entire Addams Clan cheering for us. When we pulled away, I looked up at him with a smirk. "Is this what you were talking to Father about?"
"I have no idea what you are talking about." He said with a cheeky grin. I smiled at him and pulled him into another passionate kiss. I giggled as we pulled away. "You do realize that you'll be related to the world's most bizarre family, right?" I asked in a teasing voice. He just grinned at me.
"I wouldn't have it any other way. No matter who you are, you are my one and only. I love you darling." He said pulling me into a hug. We then made our way back to the house where everyone congratulated us on our engagement and welcomed Tintin into the family, the Addams family way.
