its you
Timothée's POV
It was just another Friday night in my New York City apartment. Occasionally, I was lucky enough to spend my Friday nights with my best friend, (Y/N). However, most of her Friday's were spent with her boyfriend. I couldn't stand him, and she knew that. She tried to forget how much I hate him, but I couldn't help that I hated him. He has my girl and he's not treating her right.
I fell in love with (Y/N) the second I met her. Love at first sight, some may say. We met in high school. We were in the same production. She captivated me from the moment I laid eyes on her. She was beautiful, even at 16. Her beauty is otherworldly.
I sighed, the thought of her bringing a smile to my face. She has that ability to make you smile no matter how you're feeling, and even if you don't want to. I laid down in my bed and started scrolling through Netflix absentmindedly, deciding on The Office and turning on a random episode. I wasn't really paying much attention, but I was just doing whatever I could to distract myself.
The sound of my rumbling stomach took me out of my thoughts. I paused the TV and started scrolling through my phone, trying to figure out what kind of take out I wanted. I decided on Chinese food, so I called and placed my order.
Once I hung up the phone, my phone was blowing up with notifications. I clicked on Instagram and saw tons of people DMing me and tagging me in the same post: (Y/N)'s boyfriend with another girl. My heart sank, and I immediately took a screenshot, going straight to text messages to send it to her.
I sighed when I realized I couldn't break her heart over text, and I knew that she was with him. My finger was hovering over her contact, but before I could hit call the doorbell rang. Assuming it was the food, I ran downstairs excitedly. However, it was not the food.
It was (Y/N).
Tears were streaming down her face, her hair up in a messy bun, wearing a hoodie I recognized as mine and a pair of leggings. She's the most beautiful girl in the world.
"Timmy," she mumbled. "He cheated." I pulled her inside, immediately wrapping my arms around her. I rubbed her hair and back, doing everything I could to try to call me her. She was visibly distraught.
"Just say it, Timothée. Say I told you so." She mumbled. "Do you really think I want to say that, (Y/N)? You just got your heart broken, the last thing I want to do is rub it in your face that I was right about him. You're safe with me, babes. Everything's gonna be okay, he's never coming near you again." I reassured her, leaving a kiss on top of her head.
"Can I stay here tonight?" she asked and I nodded. "Always. Let's get you some food and then we can chill out, you need that. Let me make sure the guest room has clean sheets." I told her, slowly pulling her out of my arms. A sad noise escaped her lips as I let go, her arms reaching out for me. I smiled and grabbed her hand, leading her up to the guest bedroom.
After my food came, which I happily shared because I ordered far too much, we sat on the couch and turned on a movie, (Y/N) laying her head in my lap, her legs across the couch. I smiled and ran my fingers through her hair, twirling strands around my fingers and brushing it out lightly.
After about a half an hour, (Y/N) passed out in my lap. I smiled at her peaceful body, her torso raising up and down ever so slightly with each breath she took. I leaned down and kissed her temple softly, and then I picked her up to carry her to the guest room.
I laid her on the bed and tucked her in, turning on the fan because I knew she likes to sleep with it on. "You're so beautiful," I mumbled at her, knowing I had the freedom to say whatever I wanted to her because she was sleeping. I sat on the edge of the bed next to her, grabbing her hand in mine, running my thumb across it.
"I love you so much, (Y/N). In an I want to spoil you and be your boyfriend kind of way. I've loved you since we met in high school, but I was too scared to ask you out, and then it was too late. I love you." I told her, kissing her forehead. I went to release her hand and she squeezed it, my heart jumping in my chest. Did she hear all of that?
"Stay," she whispered out and I gladly obliged, taking off my shirt and laying in bed with her. I got into the bed and she rolled over, her head laying on my chest, my arms wrapping around her.
"I love you too, Timmy." she told me, my heart racing. "Can you finally just kiss me?" she asked into my chest and I smiled. "I thought you'd never ask."
