"Damn it!" The water in my cup hit the ground making it go everywhere. "Why can't I stop it?!" I yell out at the ground. I've been trying to stop time on my own. But it only seems to happen when I don't want to. "There has to be a way to control it right?" I fell onto the couch letting out a long sigh. What is making this just stop and go? I mean am I making it happen and just don't know it? So many questions and no answers.
I sit up and decide it's time to go to bed. I've been working on trying to control this power I guess you could call it. I hop off the couch and walk to my room. It was dark and to be fair scary. It was about two in the morning. I didn't realize how tired I was till I saw my bed. I flop onto my bed and grab my pillow. "Now this is way better than that hospital bed."
"Hello, Eric!" "Who the-" I was grabbed by a woman. "Uh...Hi?" I say to her, really confused. "Nice to see you again." "Again and better yet where are we?" It was the hospital again. That dream I had where everything was horrible and white stuff was everywhere. "I wanted to see you again! The beast is coming, you know." "Beast?" "Aww, you're so cute! You have no idea what is happening do you?" "No, but I would love to!" I take a few steps away from her. She gives me the creeps. "I can't say though. I work for the beast after all." "Work for them?" "Well of course! He is all we need..." "What the hell!" Her face became distorted and her eyes dark. They looked as if her eyes went into the back of her head. "The beast always knows..." I jerk back and turn away from her. I started to run not caring where I was going but I needed to get away from her. "You can't hide from him,m Eric! He always knows!" She let out a horrible laugh. It was bone-chilling and it made me sick to my stomach.
There was this rotten smell as if there was a body. But I didn't see anybody anywhere. A gag left me and I grabbed my shirt to cover my nose and mouth. I felt like I was going to pass out. I took deep breaths and held it in as long as I could. I don't know how long I can do this? I'm gonna end up passing out. I heard a low creak sound that lasted a little too long for pleasure. All of a sudden the ground under me fell out. I let out a scream of terror. No, I don't want to die, please! I scream to myself. I felt tears start to come to my eyes. But before I hit the ground I stopped. I held my arms up to my face. Shielding it from anything that might hit me. I sat there for what felt like forever. I finally moved my hands away and looked down. I was maybe a foot or two off the ground. Everything stopped again and the lady that was after me had stopped as well. She's up where the hole where I fell through, staring down at me with such a horrid face. A shiver went through me again.
I look down at the floor wondering how I was going to get onto the ground before time starts again. I reach my arms out to see what I could reach. My body moved a bit but still, I tried to stay in place. In fear, if I moved too much I would fall the rest down. While that might not hurt as bad as what the big fall would have been. Still wouldn't feel great. I turn my whole body around and see there is a thick wire coming out of the wall. I could reach it if I jerked my body forwards. It might cause me to fall or it might just save me. If I don't do it now I might not have time. My chest felt tight and the air around me was hotter and almost strangling. Take a deep breath in then out and out and jerk my body out to the wire. I reached my hand out and grabbed it, pulling myself closer to it to get a better hold of it. As I did I felt my legs drop and my body swing. The wire makes a sound and jerks more out of the floor above. "NO!" I yell and grab onto it harder.
Everything stops but not due to the power or whatnot. It just becomes calm and almost peaceful. I can hear a bird singing and fly around. Warmth on my face from something. Then everything goes black and I shoot up. I'm in my bed where I was left last. It was beautiful outside and the birds were singing. "I see...This is getting sickening." I said and rubbed my forehead. I was getting tired of just everything. What has caused me to gain this power and hell at the same time? I reach my arm up and feel the wind go around me and stop. Time had stopped once again but this time I think it was me. My eyebrow raised and I lowered my hand and again the time went on. I tried again and it didn't work this time. Something in my head or around me was making me be able to control it. But what could that thing be? I've tried almost everything I can think of or find online.
It was hot out today nonetheless. I had put on some shorts and a tank top just warning me to chill out in the pool. Maybe I can have a normal day today. But with everything going on I don't see that happening. I haven't had a normal day in a while now and I don't think I will till I can control what's going on. One big thing I decided to do was make a list of things to do to get my mind off of what's been going on.

Go to the pool
Play some video games
Call some friends (Olivia)
Make some food
Sleep (Last thing if I do anything else)

A shortlist of things but to the point if I say so. Hopefully, this will keep me active and hopefully not let anything else bad happen today.
I walk out of my room with some swim trunks on. I let out a sigh of relief and walked over to the front door. I open it and the heat hits my face. I clench my eyes shut covering the sun with my hands. "Ah! The hell?" I yell out. Once my eyes had adjusted I moved my hands away from my face. I blink a few times letting my eyes become wet again. The heat was crazy today, it felt like an oven out here. "Damn, did the sun get closer to earth overnight?" I walk down the stairs to head to the pool at the back of the building.
As I got down to the pool I was surprised to see no one there. It was a hot enough day to come down to the pool. It was a little confusing but by this time my whole life has become confusing. I toss my towel over to one of the seats and walk over to the pool. I sit on the edge and slowly dip my body in. The water is cool, not too hot, and not too cold. It was just right. I sigh out as my body started to relax. I lean back and rest my head on the stone wall. I could fall asleep if I wanted to. But that's the last thing I wanted to do. Having whatever the hell happens when I do in a pool? No thank you at all. As I lay in the pool enjoying the water. I feel the sun move off my face. "Hello, Eric my boy!" My eyes snapped open to see no other than Olivia. "Olivia, what are you doing here?" I sat up and turned around to her. "I wanted to see how you are with the hospital and everything you have been acting up. Also, you never answered my calls, you ass!" She then kicked me in the shoulder. "OW you witch! That hurt!" I yell and grab my shoulder. "That's what you get for not answering me!" "Ok, I'm sorry I had a lot of things going on." She looks down at me and sighs. "No, I'm sorry I should have letten you rest." I climb out of the pool standing up and smiling at her. "No, I'm sorry I should have answered you. I mean I'm sure you were worried about me." "Yeah, I was! But you're ok, that's all that matters. Can we go do something together?" "Yeah! For sure just let me go change. Come make yourself comfortable."
"Where do you wanna go?" She asked as we walked down the street. "Uh, I don't know, maybe ice cream?" "Uhhhh, sure why not?" She took me by my hand and pulled me to the ice cream shop. "O,k what do you want?" She asked as she looked at me. "I want a banana. What about you?" "Banna? That sounds so gross, I'm getting vanilla!" "Mine might sound gross but at least I'm not basic." She let out a gasp and turned away from me. I smile at her, ever since we became friends she has been a lifesaver. She makes me feel special and loved. I gave my head a shake and coughed. "Uh but yeah! You are being basic." "Whatever Eric I love my flavor as you love your weird one." "What can I get the two of you?" We both snap our necks over to the right as we hear a male voice. There was a young boy I would say 16 standing there looking at us. "I will have a cone with one scoop of vanilla ice cream please." "Alright and or you sir?" "Oh uh, a cone with a scope of banana please," I say as I pull out my wallet. "Ok, that will be 4.50" "Here and keep the change." "Thank you, sir, it will be done in a second." I move over and sit on the chair beside Olivia.
"To be fair, that ice cream was kinda bad," Oliva said as we walked down the street. "Mine was pretty good." "Oh, I bet it was." She rolled her eyes at me. "Where to now?" I asked her. "How about the park? It's a nice day and it's not too hot now that the clouds are out." "That sounds nice. I would enjoy that. Come on, I know a shortcut." I start to jog up the street and then turn sharp left into an alleyway. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" "Yeah, I go this way all the time." "If you say so, Eric." She sounded unsure of me. I mean I can' blame her. It is quite scary down this way but it was faster. As we got to the end of the ally I heard this slight growling sound. "Did you hear that?" I asked as I stopped. "Hear what?" She asked as she got closer to me. "It was probably just a dog. Come on, let's keep going." I reach behind me and pull her closer keeping my hand on her to be able to grab her if need be. As we keep walking down the alleyway the growling got louder and louder. All of a sudden the wind flew past me hitting me hard. "NO!" I yell as I jerk me and Oliva forwards. I fell and hit the ground but I felt something hit my back. "Hey!" I yell as I push whatever was on me off of me. I turn around and see Oliva. "Oliva?" I whisper out and reach out to her.
"Eric what the hell, why did you pull me?" She pushed herself up onto her knees. "It's happening again!" "What?" "Come on, stand up, I'll show you." I pulled her up and started to run the rest of the way down the alleyway. "Eric, slow down!" I saw the park up ahead and stopped as we got to the gate. I saw some kids running around but they were stuck in place. "Look, the time has stopped!" I yell to her as I turn to her. She looked past me and her eyes widened. "What...what is going on?" "Time has stopped! This has been going on ever since I had that nosebleed!" "What do you mean? This has been happening for that long?! How and why?" She yelled at me. "Why and how? Oh, I don't know! Why do you think I've been acting weird huh? My life is stopping and going. I don't know what's going on. Nobody but me can-" "Nobody but you what?" "Nobody but me can move? How are you moving?" "Well, I don't know uh maybe it was where you pulled me with you?" I held my head. This was all getting more and more confusing. "What the hell is that?!" I look up and see the sky turning black again. "Oh no...Come on!" I turn and grab her arm pulling her away from whatever makes the sky go like that. "What's happening now?!" "I'm not sure but I'm not dealing with what that storm brings me again."
"Eric what the hell is going on!? What was that, what do you mean again and just-" I grabbed her shoulders. "Calm down Oliva! I'll tell you what I know, can you just sit down?" We both sat in my living room both tired from running as fast as we did. "Ok, after my nose bleed I was getting stuck in and out of time. Not sure how and not sure if I can control it. But each time I do that storm out there gets bigger and stronger. When I was in the Hospital it happened and something cased me. Whatever is out there it wants me and I don't think it's for a good reason at all.."
"So you're telling me that after you went to the hospital you started to be able to stop time and move around in it? With that, there's a storm and something that is after you, am I hearing you right?" Oliva says as she crosses her leg over her knee. "Yes! That's basically what is happening." "You know what I think Eric? I think you have lost your mind! There has to be a logical reason for what just happened." "What could be the reason? What could cause everything around me to stop moving? For the place, I'm at to change and become something out of a horror movie? Please tell me because I am about to lose my mind." I stand up and start to walk around. My hands were upon my face. I was going to pass out, my anxiety was going crazy. "Oliva I am scared, you have no idea the hell that I have and still am going through." "Eric, I don't want you to be alone. But I am so confused about what is happening. It just doesn't seem real." "I know but you saw it, you heard it, we ran from it!" "I know I know! It's just crazy." "If it is so crazy to imagine what I see and what I go through. Let me show you what I see. Let's go into my world."
