Let's Kill Hitler - Two
The Stone managed to silently dematerialise and then materialise the TARDIS after locking onto the Doctors screwdriver. She stepped out with the Doctor who now had changed into evening clothes and top hat, a cane accompanying him while the Stone remained in her clothes. "You killed the Doctor and the Stone on the orders of the movement known as the Silence and Academy of the Question. You accept and know this to be true?" Amy asked.
"Quite honestly, I don't really remember. It was all a bit of jumble." Melody joked. Without a word, Amy or rather a sort of machine disguised as Amy shot out a while stream of light on Melody's face. "No! No! Get off me!"
"Sorry, did you say she killed the Doctor and the Stone?" The Doctor asked leaning against the TARDIS, the Stone beside him. "The Doctor and the Stone? What Stone? Doctor who?"
The fake Amy stopped to stare at them both. "You're dying and you stopped to change?" Melody looked at them shocked.
"Oh, you should always waste time when you don't have any." The Doctor grinned. "Time is not the boss of you. Rule four hundred and eight." He then pointed his cane at the fame Amy, walking towards it with one arm linked through the Stones, just in case the pain came back at any moment. It hadn't hit her yet but she knew it would come by soon. Far stronger than when the Doctor started to gain the pain and poison. Her body had to catch up to the Doctors so they died together just as the bond they had ensued. "Amelia Pond, judgment death machine. Why am I not surprised?" He then grinned raising his cane slightly. "Sonic cane."
"Are you serious?"
"Never knowingly." He replied. "Never knowingly be serious."
"Rule twenty-seven I believe." The Stone added. "And the Doctor tried to convince me to use a sonic umbrella but it isn't that me to be fair." She shrivelled up her nose at the thought. "To Mary Poppins." She shrugged lightly. "She might complain if I start copying her look. Had a few good adventures with her but that is for another day."
"Only you would complain about Mary and then ramble off about her that dear." He chuckled before looking at Melody. "And you might want to write all these rules down." He then scanned the fake Amy with the cane before reading the signal. "Oh, it's a robot."
"With four hundred and twenty-three life signs inside." The Stone said glancing at the cane.
"A robot worked by tiny people." The Doctor grinned happily quiet excited about the idea. "Love it. But how do you all get in there, though?"
"Bigger on the inside?" The Stone smirked knowing that was definitely false.
"No, basic miniaturisation sustained by a compression field." He looked at the Time Lady for a moment. "Ooo. Watch what you eat, it'll get you every time."
"Amy, if you and Rory are okay, signal him please." The Stone said while the Doctor glanced at the cane seeing it slightly light up.
"Thanking you." The Doctor suddenly cried out. The Stone quickly helped him to stand while he helped to support himself with the cane. The Stone winced finally feeling the pain. Not very strong at the moment but she knew it would get stronger. "I'm so sorry. Leg went to sleep. Just had a quick left leg power nap. I forgot I had one scheduled." He then sat down with the Stone. "Actually, better sit down. I think I heard the right one yawning."
"I think mine decided on that as well sweetheart." The Stone muttered. The Doctor fixed her a worried look. He could get through the pain knowing she was okay; now she was clearly in pain as well and he didn't know if he could move past it all for her.
Melody attempted to run for the doors only to be caught in the beam of the judgment machine.
"No!" The Stone shouted as the Doctor did.
"Don't you touch her! Do not harm her in any way!"
"Why would you care?" The machine said to them. "She's the women who kill you both."
The Doctor chuckled widening his arms slightly. "We're not dead."
"You're dying."
"Well, at least I'm not a time travelling shape-shifting robot operated by miniaturised cross people, which, I have got to admit, I didn't see coming." He narrowed his eyes before pointing the cane at Melody. "What do you want with her?
"She's Melody Pond. According to records, the woman who kills the Doctor and the Stone."
"And I'm the Doctor." He gave it a look. "My wife's the Stone. So what's it to you?"
"Throughout history, many criminals have gone unpunished in their lifetimes." They explained. "Time travel has responsibilities."
"What? You got yourselves time travel, so you decided to punish dead people?"
"We don't kill them. We extract them near the end of their established timelines."
"Isn't that basically killing?" The Stone frowned in thought. And then what do you do?"
"Give them hell."
The Doctor fixed a dark look at them for a moment. "I'd ask you who you think you are but I think the answer is pretty obvious. So, who do you think I am, huh?" He chuckled. "The woman who killed the Doctor and the Stone It sounds like you've got our biographies in there. I'd love a peek."
"Our records office is sealed to the public." It stated. "Foreknowledge is dangerous."
The Stone snorted for a moment, even though she was now going through immense pain just like the Doctor she thought it was hilarious. If they knew about her they definitely knew about Rita Stone and who she was. "You most likely already know that I once had foreknowledge and everything turned out fine." She chuckles slightly. "Or are you going to give me the whole 'you're not the same person now because honestly if you did you would get on very well with my mother." She sniffed.
"Yeah, well, that doesn't matter much we'll be dead in three minutes." The Doctor grimaced. "There isn't much foreknowledge left." The Doctor cut in worried that the Stone would start to argue with them.
"Sorry, can't-do that." It stated. There was a pause before the fake Amy spoke. "Records available."
The Doctor raised a brow.
"Amy and Rory must have done something." The Stone said.
The Doctor nodded. "Question: my wife and I are dying. Who wants us dead?"
"The Silence."
"What is the Silence?" The Doctor asked curiously. Standing up and leaning on the cane as he stepped closer. "Why is it called that? What does it mean?"
"The Silence is not a species. It is a religious order or movement." It explained. "Their core belief is that silence will fall when the question is asked."
"What question?" The Stone asked.
"The first question. The oldest question in the universe, hidden in plain sight."
"Yes," the Doctor said slightly annoyed. "But what is the question?"
There was no answer for a while, they were obviously trying to find it. "Unknown."
"Oh. Well, fat lot of use that is, you big ginge." The Stone narrowed her eyes at him for a moment. "Call yourself a Records." He then cried out while the Stone whimpered. "Kidneys are always the first to quit." He clutched his side sitting down, his arm closest to the Stone moving around her and pulling her closer towards him, her head resting just beside his. "I've had better, you know." The white field around Melody then turned red as she cried out, the Doctor grimaced and forced himself to move towards Melody. The Stone whimpered slightly as she did the same. "Amy" The Doctor breathed. "Rory. Amy. Can you hear me?"
"What do we do?" Amy worryingly asked. "This is me. This is me actually talking. What do we do?"
"Just stop them. She's your daughter. Just stop them."
How? How?" She asked gaining no answer. "How?
"Just do it!" He shouted.
There was silence and the Doctor painfully looked over at his wife, they knew it was anytime soon. The Doctor and the Stone pulled themselves closer to each other, resting their heads together, their eyes closed just feeling the others presents. Allowing them fully inside the others mind. Sharing the pain they had and the love they shared with each other. They then looked up as Melody was released from the red energy.
"Please." The Doctor begged. "Now we have to save your parents. Don't run. Now, I know you're scared, but never run when you're scared."
"Rule seven." The Stone quietly whispered. "Please."
She stared at them, all their heads snapping to the fake Amy to hear what was no doubt her cries. "Doctor, help us! Doctor, Stone, please!"
"Stone! Help!"
"Look at you two." Melody looked shocked seeing them both groan while they tried to move to the TARDIS. "You still care."
"Doctor, Stone, help! Doctor, help us! Please help us."
"It's impressive, I'll give you that."
"River, please." The Doctor begged.
"Again?" She chuckled. "Who is this River? She's got to be a woman. Am I right?"
"Help us." The Stone said plead in her eyes. "Save Amy and Rory. Help us."
"Tell me about her." She chuckled. "Go on."
"Just help us." They begged.

The Time Lords lied on the stairs next to one another, looking extremely tired and close to death, their fingers were entwined and their eyes were closed most likely whispering telepathically to one another, saying their goodbyes to each other and that they dearly loved the other. They heard footsteps and slowly opened their eyes to see Amy and Rory knelt before them. Melody slightly behind the Ponds.
"You can't die now," Amy whispered to them. "I know you both don't die now."
"Oh, Pond," the Doctor fondly smiled. "You've got a schedule for everything."
"But it doesn't make any sense."
"Doctor, Stone what do we do?" Rory pleaded. "Come on. How do we help you?"
"No." The Stone replied slowly shaking her head. "Sorry, Rory, you can't. Nobody can."
"Ponds, listen to us." The Doctor weakly asked through heavy eyelids. "We need to talk to your daughter."
Amy and Rory slowly stepped back while Melody looked at the Time Lords, shame and slight sadness in every inch of her face. "Find her." The Doctor said giving her a serious look. "Find River Song and tell her something from me"
"Tell her what?" She asked leaning in to hear what the Doctor whispered into her ear
"Well, I'm sure she knows." She faintly smiled at him both before she swallowed hard glancing at the Stone for a moment. The Time Lady had her eyes closed just as the Doctor did when she looked back. They both had passed away holding onto each other, their fingers still entwined together.
Melody glanced back at Amy and Rory. "Who's River Song?"
Amy looked away from Rory, letting go of him as she stepped closer to the copy of herself. "Are you still working? Because I'm still a relative. Access files on River Song."
"Records available." It stated.
"Show me her," Amy said stepping back, "show me River Song." The copy then slowly transformed from the centre of the face outwards. Melody's eyes widened in realisation.
"What did he say?" Amy asked not seeing the look Melody was giving the fake Melody. "The Doctor gave you a message for River Song. What was it?"
Without saying a word Melody looked at both the Time Lords. Her hands and fingers now glowing gold with the regeneration energy. It lightly danced around her. "What's happening? River, what are you doing?"
"Just tell me." She said not looking at her parents. "The Doctor and the Stone, are they worth it?"
Amy looked at her daughter slightly shocked before she exclaimed. "Yes! Yes, they are!"
Slowly she stepped forward, now hovering over the Time Lords she bent down and got on her knees. A hand came and lightly cupped both of the Time Lords outer cheeks. The regeneration energy getting soaked up by them. The Time Lords both took deep breaths their eyes opening again before they stared at Melody.
"No." The Doctor protested. "What are you doing?"
"River." The Stone looked at her pleadingly. She had a life now, multiple. They didn't. "Stop."
"Not going to happen sister." She smirked. The regeneration energy making it impossible to see the three of them as they were engulfed in it.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Melody slowly opened her eyes. The blurry outline of her parents looking at her. Rory who looked worried while Amy softly smiled at her daughter. "Hey."
"Hey," Melody replied keeping her eyes slightly closed. "Where am I?"
"You're safe now," Amy reassured. "Apparently, you used all your remaining regenerations in one go. You shouldn't have done that."
"Mother," Melody whispered. "I had to try."
"I know." Amy sighed slightly.
"He said no-one could save them, but they must have known I could."
"Rule one." The Doctor cut in making the three of them turn to the Time Lords. "The Doctor lies."
"And the Stone always puts others in front of herself, even if that means she has to lie."
"She just needs to rest." The nurse reassured. "She'll be absolutely fine."
"No, she won't." The Doctor quietly replied, the Stone dug into her pocket and then brought out Rivers TARDIS blue book which was brand new, a red ribbon around it she then placed it down on the bedside cabinet. "She will be amazing."
---------------------------------------------------------------
Amy and Rory had stayed with Melody who was now River Song. They wanted to just check her which was perfectly fine. The Doctor and the Stone, however, were stood in the TARDIS, in front of the scanner. The Doctor reached out and took the Time Lady's hand entwining their fingers and pulling her towards him. His free arm wrapping around her waist. "I love you." The Doctor whispered making the Stone look at him, softly smiling before she reached up and cupped his left cheek, her thumb lightly brushing over his cheekbone before she gently pulled him towards her for a soft kiss that he happily returned. They now knew the date and where they died. The Stone didn't want to know at first. But putting those in front of herself also included her husband when possible. She was determined to somehow keep him alive; he managed to keep living when he thought she was dead after the Time War. Surely he can do it again?
"So that's it," Amy walked into the TARDIS with Rory. "We leave her there?"
"Sisters of the Infinite Schism. Greatest hospital in the universe." The Doctor reassured.
"Yeah, but she's our daughter," Amy said sounding unsure of what to do. "Doctor, she's River and she's our daughter."
"Amy, I know." The Doctor nodded as the Stone cut in.
"But we have to let her make her own way now." She sighed shaking her head. "We have too much foreknowledge that's even dangerous for me, dangerous thing, foreknowledge."
"What's that?" Amy frowned moving to look at the scanner just as the Doctor turned it off.
"Nothing. Just some data I downloaded from the Teselecta. Very boring."
"Doctor, River was brainwashed to kill you and the Stone, right?" Rory asked.
"Well, she did kill us, and then she used her remaining lives to bring us back."
"Sisterly love." The Stone chuckled before poking the Doctors cheek. "You just got stuck in the middle sweetheart."
"Don't I always." He grumbled.
"But that stuff that they put in her head, is that gone now?" He pressed on. "The River that we know in the future, she is in prison for murder
"Whose murder?" Amy asked. "Will we see her again?"
"Oh, she'll come looking for us." The Doctor smiled.
"Yeah, but how?" How do people even look for you two?"
"Oh, Pond." The Doctor lightly shook his head slightly smiling. "Haven't you figured that one out yet?"
