The next day I wake up, due to Midnight licking me. "Fine," I giggled as I got up. I changed into a blue flower shirt that says "Stay strong, stay hopeful" and a purple skirt. I went above ground, got water, and took a bath, above ground today. I went back underground, and took Midnight to breakfast. I got some fish, drizzled with a kind of blueberry sauce. I took my food, a plate of rabbit meat and bones -for Midnight-, and Midnight to a table. At the table was Unsion, Greyson, Ashley, and Webeni. I sat down the plate with rabbit down on the seat next to me, along with Midnight. "So," Webeni said looking down at Midnight, "who's that cute little thing?" "Midnight. I found her last night," I said, eating a bite of fish, "She was shaking, starving, so I took her in." I petted Midnight. She dug her nose into the rabbit, and I giggled. We finished up eating, and talking. I picked up my plate, Midnight, and her plate. I put up the stuff and took Midnight to the Big Hall. I stepped up onto the stage, and I let down Midnight. "Stay around me. O.K.?" I say. Midnight seemed to nod and walked around me. The room started to fill with people. Greyson stepped up to the stage. "Everyone's here," Greyson whispered. I nodded and Greyson hoped of the stage. "Everyone! Over here!" I yelled. The room fell quiet. I picked up Midnight and started talking,"This is Midnight! A poor puppy I found last night! This shows us. THERE. IS. HOPE! Hope that the Panbems will fall! That the human race WILL stay alive!" Midnight looked proud, as if she knew what we were talking about. The crowd cheered, yelled, happily at that part of my speech. "That's the spirt we need!" I yelled, "We will take back the Earth! I believe that we can do this! Hope is what we are! Hope for humanity!" The crowd was going crazy. I smiled and snugged Midnight close to my chest. "Thanks for the inspiration," I whispered to Midnight. Her tail started waging her tail and hitting my face. I laughed and stretched Midnight in front of me. I turned her around. "This little dog... If she can strike a spark with a little help from a speech," I started, "we can make a burning fire, a fire as bright as the sun! One that will burn the Panbems out of this galaxy! If a little puppy can make it out in the world, so can we! And soon -with the Omega Machine- we will take back our world!" The room rose with noise, the crowds crazy loud. I hugged Midnight close, and I heard her ta ail waging. I smiled and Midnight started to lick my face. All of a sudden the crowd started to roar with the words, "Stay strong for the human race!" Just a few words from my last speech. I turned around Midnight and held her above the crowd. "That is it. Thanks for your time!" I yelled. Three by three then five by five people left, until there was no one left but me, Midnight, and Ashley. She stepped up to the stage. "Hey," I say. "Sweet speech," Ashley said, wrapping a arm around my shoulders, "You really know how to get a crowd going." I sighed. "I hope it was enough," I said as I sat Midnight down on my foot. I tapped my foot and Midnight stayed on. I laughed for a second. "Do these kind of speeches every once in a while, and I think we might just have an army," Ashley added. I smiled. She picked up Midnight and cradled her back and forth, like a baby. We giggled. "We're only fourteen. We shouldn't have so much pressure on us," I started, "The weight of the world seems to be on my shoulders. The Panbems just can't ruin everything... There's gotta be a spark of hope..." "Of rebellion?" Ashley asked. I nodded. "Well, I got to go," Ashley sighed, "bye." "Cya later," I replied. I took Midnight and sat on the edge of the stage. A tear ran down my cheek and Midnight licked it off my face. I laughed, "Thanks, Midnight." I cradled her in my arms. "You know, we'll come out of hiding one day," I whisper, "We'll be heroes and heroines. It'll be amazing. We'll save my dad, and everyone else. But first we need the Omega Machine... Let's go... Okay?" I got and went to my room. "Stay here," I whispered to Midnight and sat her on my bed. I went to Greyson's room. Sure enough, there he was playing cards with Hencio. "Who's winning?" I asked as I entered. "We just finished and I won. Hoowoo!" Hencio said. I giggled as I walked over the bed they were sitting on. "I'm gonna go challenge Unsion!" Hencio said and left. "Hey," Greyson smiled. "Hey," I replied. I sat down where Hencio did before he left. "Where's Midnight?" Greyson asked. "I left her in my room," I added quickly, "Was that a good speech?" "No," Greyson says, "it was amazing." I smiled. He walked over and sat next to me. He wrapped his arm around me bringing me closer to him. His warmth was amazing, and I almost fell asleep when I closed my eyes. "Well, it's about time for lunch. Wanna go hunting afterward?" Greyson asked, bringing me back to reality. "Oh, sure," I reply. I went to my room and picked up Midnight. Was that good enough? I thought, I hope so... 'Cause we really do need a fire as bright as the sun to burn out those Panbems...
