"Yuyu!! You've got to hear this!!"

"Eh?! What's wrong Danji-san?"

It was a wonderful evening in 'wonder hill'. Many of their members were doing the usual cardfights and conversations. Among them was Kondo Yuyu, a kid brought to wonder hill to learn about vanguard. Talking to him on the phone was Danji Momoyama, A top rated cardfighter that got Yuyu into cardfighting.

"Hear me out, My cousin is apparently coming back to japan!!"

"Cousin?"

"Yeah! He told me he was at the airport. I think Mirei is already picking him up. From what I heard, he's a strong cardfighter! Don't you wanna try cardfighting with him??" Danji asked.

"What for?" Yuyu asks.

". . . I heard he's been having a hard time having fun." Sighing, Danji explained.

As danji and yuyu continue to talk, mirei was talking with an older man inside the car they are riding.

"And so, I was shocked to know that big brother was alive!" Mirei explained with excitement. Mostly because of the tales her brother had told her about their cousin. After all. . . .

This was their first meeting.

"Is that so? Your brother seemed to have caused a lot of trouble." The man chuckles.

"If it were up to me, I wouldn't have let them meet. But a loss is a loss. I had to honor my promise." Their driver said with a little disappointment.

"Oh come on haruka! Can't you forgive him?" Mirei pouted.

"You can't blame her mirei. She's looking after you and is doing her best to keep you happy." He said.

"I would have been happy to know he was living happily, doing what he loved." Mirei replies.

Hearing her reason, the man sighed.

"Mirei, there are so many things you have yet to learn about the world. Maybe one day you'll understand why they told you he died." He said.

"Young master is right, lady mirei." Haruka added.

"Geez, are you two bullying me?" Mirei pouted once again.

Sharing a laugh, the three continued on with their conversation.

"You know, I was glad you were having fun through the internet. Even if I wasn't present when you were growing up, you bloomed into a fine maiden." He said.

"Though, I'm not exactly delighted with your partner." He adds.

"It's alright. He doesn't do much harm. He's really irritating when he's around though." Mirei explained.

"Even if I'm discontent with him. . . It's not like we have any other choice." Mirei said.

Silence took over for a hot minute. Haruka looking at the mirror to see the man pondering before forming a smile.

"Please don't. . ." Haruka pleaded.

"You know mirei, I could always try and marry you instead."

"E-eh?!" Hearing such proposal, Mirei becomes flustered.

"It's not like its prohibited. First cousins can marry each other here in japan."

Hearing this, Haruka sighed.

"Young master, I know you're discontent with her engagement. Much like Nadatsugu. But it's not that easy. I understand you are trying to make lady mirei happy but-"

"Its okay. Ill talk to the elders about this."  He said.

". . . Suit yourself." Knowing she wouldn't win, she sighs and continues to drive

"So! Can you tell me more about what you did in america?" Mirei asked.

"Research."

"Is that all?" Mirei asked.

"Well, yeah?"

Hearing this, mirei crossed her arms in frustration.

"Trying to keep secrets. . ." She huffed.

Chuckling at his cousin's behavior, he pat her head.

"You'll find out soon enough." He said.

"So, How long till we get to our destination?" He asked.

"We'll be arriving at Dreamland Wonder Hill shortly." Haruka answered.

"Its been so long since I've hung out with Yuyu and the others!" Mirei said, Excitement written over her face.

"Is that place really gonna entertain us?" He asks.

"Of course. I'm sure you know how it's the home of Team Blackout?" Haruka asked.

"Of course. But are they going to entertain me specifically?"

This question garnered the attention of the 2 girls with him.

"For all I know they could be disappointing." He explained.

"Young master, I know you've mastered all the things you've taken interest in. But these cardfighters are the ones who fought with team Daybreak and won."

"Are you sure they're strong? Or are Masanori and that brat just weak?" He asked.

"Please don't get us started with that." Haruka pleads as he complied.

"So. . . Tell me about Team Blackout."

Facts:

-Masanori and Mirei might be engaged according to one of the episodes that had flashbacks of danji saying 'Cancel the engagement!'

-The youngest age for legal marriage in japan is 18 for men and 16 for women with parental consent.(Mirei is 16, MC is 23. 4 months older than danji)

-First cousins can marry each other in japan

-Danji's old name is Nadatsugu Minae before he was disowned and was given a fake funeral to make Mirei believe that he died.
