5. Time is Ticking

Malfoy was loosing is will to live. "The whole reason Adora is —— Oh you can't be serious!"

Adora? He just used my actual name, and not my surname.

Is Malfoy cursed with kindness? My grin turns into confusion as I watch the boy absolutely loose is shit.

"Welcome to the family of lost minds," jokes Tonks, pointing to the mumbling Malfoy. "It runs in our blood."

"Screw you!"

"No thanks."

Tonks holds out her hand, and motions for something to be returned to her. "I'd like my wand back, please."

Malfoy chucks it to his cousin almost grudgingly. I keep myself still behind him unsure of if it was safe now.

The sudden switch in a calm atmosphere was alarming. It wasn't a thing to just forget about. Wizards and Witches are one of the smarter creatures in our world so you have to be cautious. I feel like I was repeating a lot of what I thought, but it was keeping me alive, and alert, of anything which could be considered danger.

Malfoy was quipped with comebacks. "Are you having delusions, Cousin? A guild for the talented seems like it was a five-year-old's dream job."

Tonks wasn't having it. "Here comes the Black's favourite comebacks, delusions, loosing minds, and anything else along the lines. I'm sane enough to be an Aura. I won't be making up stories to kidnap anyone. Are you coming or not? I have places and things to do and I can't be wasting my time arguing with you."

"Do you know how to make the ring's stop cursing us?" Asked Malfoy.

"Ding ding ding, yes I do, so does it mean you'll come with me?" Answers Tonks.

Malfoy looks back at me. "Is this what you want to do? To get rid of the curse? You can't have both of us going because it would only be a scandal, and your brothers will be blaming me for your disappearance."

That was the truth, my brother's would blame Malfoy right away. All I wanted was to have my speech back and not have to sneak around. It wasn't too much to ask. But Malfoy would be risking, a hell of a lot, for me to be able to just go ahead and do this. Nothing is ever easy when you're a student at Hogwarts.

Tonks was quick to add her opinion. "Will you be willing to help Adora? Malfoy... she's been cursed... just think about that for a moment."

"I am! But I have everything to loose, just imagine, if my parents find out, that I'm even having this meeting with you two."

I didn't want to ruin anyone's future. The Descendants of the Noble House of Black comes with many faults once born into the house. Obviously, I had no idea, just how much pressure, was on those born into the bloodline as I didn't have the same issues. I wasn't going to be the reason for someone's entire future being on the line.

That's why I used my notepad once more to prove that I wasn't about to do this. Malfoy's back ended up becoming the desk for the book, it was easier, than having to go somewhere else.

The Note:

I don't want to be the reason someone's life is going to be thrown away.

As someone whose lucky, it's not in my place, to make someone risk all

of this to get nothing out of it. It was me who made the curse start as I

Jokingly made a comment about it without realising what it would do.

All of this was because of my family. I'm sorry but I can't go to the guild.

Malfoy moves away from me, fed up, and not in liking of the closeness between us. Even though, it was hilarious, it wasn't something that I was about to make fun of. The reason we got to this place wasn't humorous.

The note was passed over to Tonks, who was waiting, to know what the answer would be. All of this was down to me. I understood the risks and I understood the faults and I was not willing to have a scandal. Or be apart of one.

Tonks made a quick read of the note repeating past behaviour, and placing them inside her nearest pocket. "I have to return the rings."

Malfoy wasn't accepting this. "It's an heirloom."

"The rings are a way to signal what guild you're apart of: the cursed rings proves the member's intelligence. Break the curse yourself and the fake heirlooms can be kept."

Tonks playfully waves, before disappearing, into a fog of white mist solidifying the Aura title. Our only way of breaking everything was gone. This curse was going to continue to haunt the heirs all because of one refusing to help. I hated every second of this.

Time was running out.
