Saving Silver
Three years after the war with Gaea.
Percy Jackson and his Warriors walked through the wooded forest that the Hunters were in. The followers of Artemis had been hunting down a group of monsters for the past month.
It just so happened that there were a couple hundred of them and had a Titan leading them to boot.
Artemis and her Hunters wouldn't be able to take out the opposing force so the goddess prayed to her father for help.
Zeus decided that it would be a good time to see how Perseus had trained his group of Warriors so he gave the mission to the newest Olympian.
When the son of Poseidon and his group found Artemis, they had to try very hard to hold their laughter in at the sight.
Oceanus was standing in front of Artemis with a orthryc silver sword at the ready. It seemed he was about to give the order to attack.
Percy deciding that he had enough of this, sent his thirty Warriors to surround the monster army. Instead of going with them, Percy opted for making his presence known by letting his aura of power to escape from his hold and be released every where.
Oceanus's eyes widened in alarm as he felt the powerful presence near them.
Percy walked out of the woods with a shit eating grin on his face. "So is there another war coming or are you still pissed about not being able to take over my father's palace?"
The Titan glared at Percy before his eyes showed fear. The powerful presence came from this man before him.
Percy noticed his change of mood and decided to taunt him.
"Something wrong Titan or are you just realizing how awesome I am?"
Artemis and her Hunters glared at this egotistical man before them. Unlike other men, Percy was able to back up anything he said.
"How are you so powerful? You are a mere demigod," Oceanus stated in disbelief at Percy's power level.
The son of Poseidon grinned at the Titan.
"Guess you didn't get the memo. At the award ceremony after the war with Gaea I was made the fifteenth Olympian. My full title as a god is Perseus Jackson, fifteenth Olympian of Tides and Time, at your service."
The Titan stepped back in fear. "How do you have the power over time? Only two beings have that and you put one of them in Tartarus a few years ago. The other is a Primordial."
"Lets just say the Fates are a lot nicer than they seem. Just kidding, they are three old bitches that do whatever Chaos wants them to do. He is actually the one that gave me the domain."
Oceanus tried to slowly step behind his army of monsters, but Percy noticed.
"You can try to run away while I'm distracted with your small army, but you wouldn't get very far. My Warriors have surrounded you and are itching for battle. So be my guest and run away like the bitch you are."
Oceanus's face redeemed in anger as he glared at Percy. "You will pay dearly for your insults Olympian."
Percy grinned in anticipation for the battle to come. Oceanus pulled out his orthryc silver sword and charged toward the son of Poseidon.
The monsters went to attack the Hunters, but thirty Warriors jumped out of the trees and began to slaughter the army of monsters. Artemis and her Hunters just stared at the group of men destroying monsters left and right.
One man wielded a spear that he stabbed a hellhound with and threw the hellmutt into a lastrygonian giant. The giant fell backwards and crushed a dozen other monsters behind him. Another Warrior had a pair of hunting knives out and was slicing his way through monsters at a pace that could rival Artemis herself.
Suddenly a huge crack appeared in the earth below their feet, undead pouring out until fifty skeletons from different time periods began to attack the monsters as well. They were being commanded by another Warrior that stood towards the back as he was being guarded by two of his comrades.
But that wasn't the most amazing thing that was happening.
Perseus Jackson had taken it upon himself to battle the Titan, one on one.
Oceanus swung diagonally, but Percy dodged the strike and sent a powerful kick to his opponents gut, effectively knocking the wind out of him.
Percy sent his own strike, but that was deflected by the Titans blade as well.
They exchanged strikes for many long and tiring minutes, but Percy finally found a flaw in the Titans fighting style.
Every time Oceanus would swing his sword to the left, he exposed his unprotected side.
Percy needed to wait a few more minutes before exploiting this new information.
As they exchanged strikes, Oceanus began to tire, but as a last resort, the Titan sent a powerful blast of energy at Percy.
The blast sent the newest Olympian hurling through the air, into a few trees that were ripped out of the ground when he made contact with them.
Oceanus smirked and turned his attention back to Artemis and her Hunters to find his army decimated by a group of Warriors that stood there with weapons drawn.
"Step aside and I will end your worthless lives quickly."
His mistake.
Time seemed to stop all around them as he noticed that only he and the two groups of people were not affected.
"You will pay for that Titan. When I return you to Tartarus you can tell your master to go fuck himself and that he has made a very dangerous enemy today," Percy growled from behind the stunned Titan.
Oceanus turned around just in time to see Percy's fist connect with his face. The Titan of the seas fell to the ground from the power behind the punch.
Before he could even blink, Percy had his sword drawn and leveled at his neck.
"Goodbye bitch," Percy said before slitting the Titans throat.
Time resumed its course as Percy looked at Artemis.
"This must be reported to the council, effective immediately."
Artemis stared at him stunned before it turned to anger. "You think you can order me around? I have been an Olympian for far longer and shall be treated as such."
Percy didn't have time for this so he went straight to taking her ego down a few pegs.
"In all that time you have never been classified as good enough to be at the same level of power as the Big Three. I on the other hand am the most powerful Olympian and even your father knows that. I came here to help you and your Hunters, otherwise all of them would have died. One of them happens to be my cousin and I will always come to protect her, but if you continue with your prejudice bullshit then I will find a way to get your domain of the Hunt taken away from you because so far you obviously don't know how to use it right! Sure you help young women by blessing them and teaching them how to defend themselves, but you also preach that all men are bad. That is a lie and you know it. You are just mad because Apollo tricked you into killing my brother, Orion."
By now tears had filled Artemis's eyes as she was finally being pushed back into the world outside her Hunt and beliefs.
The Hunters themselves looked between their mistress and Percy, trying to figure out what the hell was going on. While they admit their leader was wrong to just blow up on him because he said that they should report to the council about the Titan, they were also pissed about him saying that stuff to Artemis.
Artemis had finally given in to her emotions as she ran deep into the woods.
Percy was starting to follow her as he instructed his Warriors to hunt down the remaining monsters within a five mile radius while the Hunters set up their camp.
His warriors nodded and took off into the woods. Percy turned his focus back to the task at hand and ran into the woods after the goddess.
Despite him not have a domain that involves anything to do with tracking or hunting, Percy was able to easily track the goddess about half a mile west of the Hunters location.
He found her sitting on a log, over looking a valley a hundred meters below.
He looked at her and leaned against a tree.
"You know, running away like that probably wasn't the brightest idea considering it was in front of your Hunters," he said.
Artemis jumped a bit in surprise, but her anger returned when she thought about what he said.
"Are you just here to make fun of all of my mistakes? Here to gloat because you won the bet or even better, because you have more power than me, despite being on the council for only three years!"
The son of Poseidon looked at the daughter of Zeus with a small hint of sadness, but the rest was just pity.
"I shouldn't have said those things, but I was in a rush to give the news to the council and I have not been having a good day at all. When you started yelling at me, I kind of lost my temper."
Artemis sighed, but the tears were still sliding out of her eyes.
"I am sorry for yelling at you. I am not used to being beaten at anything, much less by a male and when you and your Warriors came and saved us, I might have gotten jealous at your power. I have always wanted respect, but I only get it from a few people and not most which I would like."
The son of Poseidon sat down on the log right next to Artemis's. "Maybe it's because you install fear into the hearts of all men because you either kill most of the ones you see or turn them into jackalopes."
Artemis slightly laughed at that. "I guess your right. I can be over the top when I am with men, but I'm just so used to it after thousands of years of it."
Percy smiled and stood up, brushing himself off. He offered his hand to the huntress before they headed back towards the Hunters campsite.
When they got there, they were talking and laughing like they were friends for years. The Hunters stared at them for a minute and just rolled their eyes.
"Well, I must gather my Warriors and bring them to Olympus as you must do. Zeus has required it of us since he was watching the battle with the rest of the Olympian council. Now he must decide on who has won our bet."
Artemis nodded and gathered her Hunters and flashed them to her palace where she began to walk towards the throne room. Just as she was about to open the throne room doors, Percy appeared twenty feet to her left and walked to her.
"My Warriors will come when I summon them, but for I now I must let them rest before Zeus decides on the winner of the bet."
The Hunters glared at Percy before walking into the throne room. Everyone was staring with opened mouths in their direction.
The Hunters smiled slightly, thinking that the Olympians were amazed at the group of immortal teenage girls.
Artemis scowled at the looks the Olympians were sending their direction. It wasn't even for her Hunters. It was for Perseus who had just single handedly defeated a very powerful Titan on his own.
"You are the coolest badass ever," Apollo said while Ares grumbled about it not being fair.
Percy grinned in response while his father, Poseidon, smiled with pride at his favorite son.
Zeus cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "We are here to discuss the reasons of the Titan returning and to vote on who the best warriors are."
The Hunters glared at Percy before taking their places next to Artemis's throne.
"If you could summon your Warriors then we may begin nephew."
The god of time smiled and sent a mental message to his Warriors to come to the throne room. After five minutes, they came into the room.
Zeus was ready for them to bow to him so he sat up straight and fixed the tie on his suit.
What he and no one else expected was for all thirty of them to make their way to Perseus and bow before him.
"Rise my friends."
Each did as they were commanded and took their place by Percy's throne.
"Lets begin shall we," Percy said as he looked at Zeus's redened face.
