season 4, episode 5.

Sage and Stefan had came home very late after they helped with Laim, they thought it would be fine. Stefan had told Sage about the list on their way home, that they were on it. It didn't help that their dad caught them coming home. Now because Sage was the oldest and was supposed to be looking after Stefan and Liam, she was grounded.

She was only allowed to leave the house if if was for school or a lacrosse game. "It's time for school, Sage! You're gonna wanna hurry!" She heard her mom yell from downstairs making her groan as she pulled her shirt down and walk out. "You think they know?" All the sudden, Stefan popped up making her jump back a bit.

She didn't even know what he meant. He wouldn't say, Stefan didn't want them to hear. That's when it hit her, he wanted to know if they knew that they told everyone what they were. There was no way they could know.

Stefan had stayed with Liam after they found out what team the lacrosse team was going against. He had turned his head for one second to answer a message from Sage, when he turned back he saw Liam heading over to the one man Stefan hated more than anything. "Brett!" Liam had yelled out, making Stefan groan.

"I just wanted to say," Stefan quickly walked over, seeing Liam start again. "Have a good game." He saw Liam held out his hand, only standing a couple steps behind him. Brett didn't expect it, he looked back at his stupid friends and laughed. "That's cute, Liam. Is that what they told you in anger management? Apologie, and everything's fine?"

This wasn't gonna end well... Brett never knew how to just be mature and talk things over. "You demolished coach's car." He was an asshole, he was gonna set Liam off again with the way be acted. "I paid for it."' Liam's breathing was getting heavy, he already had trouble controlling his emotions. The werewolf shit made it worse.

"Yeah, you're going to pay for it. We're gonna break you in half out there– and it's gonna be all your fault." Stefan couldn't handle it, he quickly grabbed onto Brett, glaring at him."You never knew when to shut up." Before he could even do something up, footsteps were heard and someone grabbed onto him and he was turned to see Sage.

The brunette gave him a look, telling him to let it go. "Oh great... it's the psycho siblings." Sage heard the boy mumble but it was still loud enough for anyone to hear. That's what made Sage break, she let go of Stefan and turned to the guy, staring up at him. "Say that again, I dare you, Brett." Her voice was laced with venom, like she was laying him in a trap.

"Oh we all know how you can get... same with your brother. Though, I gotta say that video of you and that girl, it was real interesting.. I would love–" She didn't think, because next thing Sage knew was that she saw Brett covering his nose and seeing blood. Maybe he shouldn't have brought that up. This school was a fresh start, she wasn't gonna let that follow her around. She didn't even know how Brett knew.

She felt someone tugging her arm and saw Scott pulling her back. She quickly ripped her arm away, and backed up. "Hey, what's up, prep students? Welcome to our little public high school! How you doing?" Stiles was talking to Brett now, holding out his hand. "That's a firm handshake you got there. Uh, we're very excited for the scrimmage tonight, uh, but let's keep it clean, all right? No rough stuff out there." He looked over to Sage ar that who let out a scoff and walked off, her brother following after her.

"All right, see you on the field! Go!"

"You okay?" She heard Stefan speak up as they sat at the bleachers. She didn't wanna be at this game and watch stupid Brett play. But Scott had a plan and they had to be here. "Are mom and dad here hey?" Sage dodged Stefan's question, she didn't wanna talk about that. She had already talked to a therapist she didn't even want. "Troubled children," A familiar voice filled the air. "Hey dad," Sage spoke up once turning to him.

She watched as her mother sat next to her and her father sat next to Sage. "Your brother told me about Brett." She heard her mom whisper, making her suck in a breath. The boys of the Bennett family were now talking on there own but Sage still felt herself become tense. "Can we not talk about this right now?" Her hands were gripping onto the metal now, trying to calm down.

"We're talking about it when we go home." Ember stated as she stared ahead. "Fine, whatever."

Liam wasn't supposed to play, at least Scott didn't want him to and neither did his mom. She thought that his leg was still hurt, Scott didn't want him to wolf out and kill someone. Or worse, he was the one killed. But she heard croach saying he wanted Liam out there. Then she saw Brett throw a ball at him, and Liam quickly caught it.

This wouldn't end well. She watched Liam put his helmet on and start walking and then the whole team ran out to the field and it started. She watched as Devenford score a point on them making her groan, her face following into her hands. Everyone on the team went back into place, Sage kept her eyes on Brett, he was planning something. She could feel it.

She watched as Brett got the ball and ran off, making Scott run after him. "God, he's annoying." She saw her mother give her a look making her let it go. Sage's eyes went back to the field. Liam was also running to get the ball but before he could.. two members quickly knocked him down. And that's when Brett user his time to score.

She watched as Liam got up from the ground, throwing his helmet and gloves down and launching at the two guys but Scott and Stiles quickly stopped him. "Is Liam okay?" She heard her father ask, making her shift in her seat. They couldn't know. "He's fine dad, it's just Brett being an asshole."

Stiles had gotten the ball, throwing it to Kira. The girl stood in shock for a bit before running to the goal. Kira threw the ball, scoring which finally earned them a point. Most from the seats stood up and cheered, Sage heard coach yelling at Kira, and the next thing she knew was the Kira was on the bench. She felt bad for the girl even if she hardly knew her.

They all went back to place and it started again, Liam was running to get the ball until he ran right into Brett. It looked like Brett did it on purpose. She heard Liam groaning in pain and saw hoe her father quickly stood up. "Back off!" Coach yelled with everyone crowding him. She saw as Scott helped Liam up.

Then she watched as the other team mate was taken off the field. "Roman, sit back down." Ember spoke up, looking at her husband who listened. Sage felt her phone go off, making her look down and see a message from Stiles.

"they killed brett."

a little context on what Brett was talking about.... when sage still went to that school she was messing around with this girl and a video got out of them doing that and she didn't know that it was made, it basically caused a lot of problems and had been another reason she transferred!
