Muted
season 4, episode 3.

Sage and Stefan were sitting in bleachers since Liam was trying out for the lacrosse team since they at a new school. The two siblings knew how good the boy was at this game. Though the two really didn't care for this sport, they were here to support Liam. "I never understood this sport." Sage whispered under her breath as she watched all the guys who were trying out run.

She could hear what the coach was calling them as they ran past him and she did find that funny. "Why do you think I told Liam I wasn't trying out?" That wasn't the reason Stefan didn't try out and Sage knew it. "You didn't try out because dad said you couldn't. You would out that you're a werewolf if there was someone a game on the full moon." Sage believed no one would have heard that because they were sitting alone.

But a couple feet away, a girl who sat with her friend had heard everything. Sage watched as one of the guys on the field fall over and Stefan a lot sage hit him in the back of the head though she laughed too. She watched as they switched to practicing throwing at the goal, Liam was up.

She took in a deep breath as Liam threw the ball, only to hit it right in. The next guy who threw it had hit the bar, making someone make a comment and Sage heard another guy who she guessed was his friend telling him to shut up. It went on like that for a while, and each time Liam made it in.

After a while, they switced to something else. She watched as two guys whos last names sounded familiar went to guard the goal. A guy ran to them, trying to get through only to be knocked down. Sage heard the coach saying something about those two being like sons to them.

She watched as everytime a guy came up, got knocked over. She knew she should have been worried for Liam as he stepped up for his turn, but she wasn't. She watched as he picked up the ball and bolted. He got right past them, even made it in. "Let's go, Liam!" Stefan cheered out as he stood up making sage cover her face in embarrassment. "Sit down."

Before he could even sit down, someone else spoke up. "That was luck!" Sage turned her head, getting ready to defend Liam. She saw a girl who's hair was mixed with brown and blonde. "Do over!" She slightly rolled her eyes, yeah the girl was cute but this was stupided. It wasn't luck, Liam was just good. "Sweetheart, there are no do-overs- this is a practice." The coach tried to explain to the girl but she obviously wasn't listening.

"Ten bucks on Scott and Stiles." She was really gonna bet on this? "I'll take that action." Sage let out a groan, turning her head back to the field. "Surprised you didn't say anything." she heard Stefan mumble as the coach told Liam to go back. "Shut up." She watched as Liam did as what he was told, everyone was back into place.

Liam did exactly what he did earlier, but this time he failed. Liam was knocked over making the twins quickly get up. "Don't move! Don't touch him!" The coach told everyone as him, Sage and Stefan ran onto the field. "It's okay, coach. I'm all right." He tried to tell them all but as soon as the two guys helped him up, he let out a scream.

He mumbled about him saying it's his leg making Sage rub her forehead in distress. "I think we better take him to the nurse." The shortef heard guy spoke up, Sage was going with them. The coach moved out of the way, letting them walk off. "You stay here." Sage told her brother before running after them.

"You know you look oddly familiar." She heard one of the guys speak up making her roll her eyes again. "Shut up." Her voice was filled with annoyance as she walked next to them. "Her names Sage. The guy back there is Stefan, her brother." She heard Liam speak up, telling both of them.

"Sounds familiar."

The four were waiting at the front deck, until a woman walked over. "Hi mom," One of the guys, who sage had learned was Scott, spoke up.

They ended up explaining everything to her and Liam had been put into the wheel chair.

Sage had ended up sitting in the room Liam was in, watching as Liam's step dad checked in out. "It's broken, isn't it?" The brunette couldn't help but frown at how Liam sounded. She knew how much lacrosse meant to him, she knew how it would be if he couldn't play. "It's definitely going to need an X-ray." Dr. Greyer tried to reassure the boy.

"It's broken and it's my fault..." Though Liam wasn't listening to him. "You want to tell me what happened?" The man asked and sage spoke up, noticing he looked to her. "He went against two juniors, pretty sure one was the caption of the team..." Dr. Greyer nodded at Sage's words, placing his hand on his sons shoulder.

"Well, remember what we always say? Play smart not hard." Liam looked away for a second and Dr. Greyer dropped his hand and the boy looked back at him. "Are you mad at me?" Sage finally heard him ask. "No, of course not. Your mom might be mad at me for getting you into lacrosse or she'll be mad at Sage because she's the one who told you a lacrosse team was at the school..." sage laughed at his comment, she knew that was true.

"but maybe we should both wait for the x-ray before we panic. And, trust me... I have more reason to panic than you and so does saga. It's not over yet. Wait for that X-ray." Dr. Greyer told Liam before walking out of the room and Sage got up from her seat.

"You doing okay?" Sage asked as she walked over and Liam did his best to nod. "Good! I'm gonna go get something from the vending machine? I'll get you a chocolate bar too!" The brunette smilied at the boy and Liam had nodded. At that, Sage turned and walked out of the room.

Walking out was her worst decision ever.
