3rd pERSON-

The Doctor had already lost Morvin and Foon, there was no way he was about to lose his daughter to the damage of the host and whatever else was going on. Using what was around him he managed to re-inflate Kate's collapsed lung. a temporary relief until he could do as promised and get her back to the Tardis. A small intake of breath filled him with relief and he lifted her up into his arms.

"I'm not loosing you, not today." he grumbled

"Part time lord remember, who knows what wonders I have up my sleeve." she whimpered and he opened the door and made their way through kicking past more rubble.

"Mr Rickston, she's your responsibility, she dies you'd wish you'd never been born." The Doctor handed over Kate to the man.

"I can walk." she grunted and moved herself away "i figure I have about a hour left before my lung collapses again.

"Stubborn like your mother." He commented

"Damn stright." I retorted "What's the plan?"

"All of you get yourselves up to reception 1. Once you're there, Mr Copper, you've got staff access to the computer. Try to find a way of transmitting a SOS. Astrid, you're in charge."

"Excuse me, just because i'm severely injured does not mean you let the new girl...no offence take lead." I snip at him

"If you let me finish I was going to say of this." he held up a robotic battery "Once it's powered up, it'll take out Host within 50 yards but then it needs 60 second to recharge got it?" she nodded

"Kate. Take this. I've preset it for you to open the doors." I humm "I'll be back before the hour is up. I'm not losing you."

"You never will. Just don't be shocked if I have a different face." I gave a meek smile and went on ahead

"Rickston your in charge of keeping her alive. Go with her. She stays alive at all cost. Go now!" I reached the door and Rickston caught up with me.

"I don't need a baby sitter, especially a dot one like you." i huff out

"Well I'd rather not be here either but your Dad is insistent that you stay alive." he retorted and i looked back at him

"He's funny like that. Prefers me with this face." a couple of minutes we all grouped up. Clearly Dad was going off somewhere to cause trouble and hopefully save us all. He would cut it fine but i had faith in him, always.

"Don't you die on me, okay." he told me and kissed my head before leaving

"Hold on." Astrid ran after him "Theres a old tradition on Planet Sto."

"I've really gotta go." Dad replied

"just wait a minute." Astrid grabbed the first aid box off of mr copper and ran over to my dad, dropped it to the floor. Stood on it and then pulled him into a kiss.

"Ugh, just why?" I groan. Why did nearly every companion I met have the hots for my Dad and feel the need to kiss him.

"Yeah, that's a...very old tradition." he mumbled

"One that I never wanted to see. That's gross." I complain out loud "Seriously that's my Dad."

"Right then " he ran off and I moved on ahead holding the mall device that kept air in my lung for now and the sonic screwdriver. Then opened doors till we ran into more host.

"Astrid Now!" i ducked and she let there EMP off. The host frizzed and I stood back up "Nice." i commented as the three of them cheered

"Cheer later reception, now. Come on." I ordered and we headed back up to the destroyed reception room where Astrid took out more of the Host. A small breath of relief. "I'll seal the doors, make it secure, do what you need to do." i moved around, aimed and pointed the sonic at the door. Once that was done I turned around just as Astrid sent out a hail.

"Bridge this is reception one.." she stated

"Who's that?"

"Astrid Peth, I was with the Doctor. Tell me can you divert power to the teleport system?" She wondered and I scowled, what the hell was she thinking that she was going to do.

"No way, I'm using everything I've got to keep the engines going." Frame replied

"It's just one trip. I need to get to deck 3."

"Astrid, no, you can't." I stumbled over to her but dropped to my knees, and less than a hour more like 15 20 minutes.

"It's for the doctor. He's gone down there on his own, leaving his injured and dying daughter behind. He's done everything he can to save us. It's time we did something to help him." she told the two of us as I was struggling to keep upright.

"Giving you power."

"No" I groan, she took a teleport bracelet as Mr Copper came to help me sit up right

"Mr Copper, Kate. I'm going to find him."

"Good Luck." Mr Copper told her and then she was gone. I groaned pushing myself to lean against a chair.

"She's gonna get herself killed going after my Dad like that. You either go with him in the first place or not. Bad stuff happens, I should know. I've travelled with him long enough."

"How are you doing?" mr Copper wondered

"I'm dying and i don't know whether my fathers genetics are going to kick in and save me or I really am more human that I've lead myself to believe. So either way not good. Oh and to add to that I'm thousands of miles away from home, right above on a ship that's most likely gonna crash. No biggie"

"You normally this chatty?" Rickston asked

"To annoy the hell of of you, obviously." I leant my head back "I have family on earth, so much family and well, since we're being bleak for a moment. Its not good for me or them." I paused for a moment

"Then on the other hand. My Dad is fantastic at cutting things close, so I'm not worried at all. He'll think of something, right when your like...." i was cut off by the ship shifting and not in a good way we were turning "The engines."

"Titanic falling, voyage terminated." I gripped on tight as we began to descend from space heading straight for earth and fast. Closing my eyes and gritting my teeth The men and I were all bunched up together. It felt like forever till eve then changed cause and went up before evening out. He did it. Dad Did it.

"I told you! I told you he'd do it." I laughed and pulled my self up and dug into my pocket taking out my phone and calling Clyde.

"Kate, Kate are you okay, I just saw the titanic on tv."

"Can you ask me any other question than that? That question sucks." I groan leaning over on the teleport stand

"I don't know what else to ask. Mom's freaking out. You told her you were in London and then she sees the news she's freaking out."

"Tell her I'm fine. I will be one's my Dad fixes me up."

"I talked to Sarah Jane, we tried to warn the government and the like but they were like we don't pick anything up on our scanners, but thank you for calling." he mimicked which made me chuckle

"They're stupid. In all honestly your better calling Liz, remind me to set up a direct line to her in case of emergency. I should have done that earlier but hey ho."

" Kate give me the sonic! Mr Copper! The teleports, have they got emergency settings?" Dad came running in shouting

"Oh that's my cue for drama, talk soon." I hung up

"I don't know, they should have" I handed him the sonic.

"She fell, Mr Copper, She fell. What's the emergency code." Mr Copper put in the emergency code as Dad worked on the wiring

"Dad talk to me." I say and he looks up as Mr Copper explains what's going on

"How long?" dad asks looking at my injuries.

"15 minutes before I lose consciousness another five before I'm borderline deceased then another two till I'm clinically dead." he nodded

"I'm not losing anyone else. You and here are going to survive this. There." he flipped a switch. and turned a hologram of Astrid appeared

"I'm falling." she muttered

"Only half way there, come on!" I sat myself back down, conserve energy as best I could.

"Falling."

"Feedback the molecule grid. Boost the restoration matrix." there was a spark and I zoned out and my head lolled to the side.

"Kate. It's Kate right. I'm Alonso." My head was turned "Not long now."

"I know, go do your job." I sat there in silence and meditation till I was picked up by Dad and I turned my attention and focus on him. With a small smile he put a bracelet on my wrist. I returned it and saw that Mr Copper was joining us. Alonso saluted just as we were taken back down to earth in the freezing cold of Christmas Day.

"ah there she is. Look, Kate homeward stretch, we're gonna get you fixed." I hummed and cuddled into him more as he talked with mr Copper about the lessons he had about earth 90% were wrong.

"I'll guess you'll be off then." Mr Copper voiced as Dad turned us around

"Of to save this one, a fathers job is never done." I gave a dazed smile

"What about me?" Mr Copper wondered

"Except for Kate, I travel alone. It's better that way."

"Let me go inside." I mutter and Dad let me down i turn and go to mr copper "If your ever area come say hello." i handed him a piece of paper and a smile

"Goodbye." with a final nod I headed inside and lowered myself onto the jump seat "Emergency Program 6." the Tardis came to life

"Emergency Program 6 activated." I saw myself

"Ugh not me." The door opened once more and Dad came running in.

"Just you hold on. Katelyn. Don't you go out on me now." the Tardis started running "She's taking you to somewhere you can be fixed. Just hold on." I nodded meekly and passed out.

When i woke i was laying in a bed and when my vision came too, I saw My Dad sitting at my bedside. Moving my hand to find his he looked at me properly and with a great big grin.

"Cutting it fine weren't you?" I coughed

"Sorry 'bout that. But you're okay, the sisters saved you in time, cutting edge work. Still you." My other hand went down checking my injures which now felt normal, healed like I had never been hurt in the first place.

"Where did you bring me?"

"Not me. The Tardis had a set course for the sisters of infinite schism." he looked back as i noticed one of the said sisters

"Thank you." she bowed

"It will be a small while before you fully recuperated but we offer the best care possible." she left the room and i turned back to Dad.
