Mary walks out of the cab, knowing Fury will be in the elevator on his way down to the garage, she makes her way there. When she gets to his car, she sees him, "Nick." She calls out to him, seeing him turn to look at her.

"Mary?" He questions, unsure of why she's here, then motions her to get into the car.

Mary climbs into the passenger seat, "I'm sorry about earlier." She states, "But you have to see our side of it, Nick, you're picking people who haven't even committed a crime yet to be killed."

Fury nods slowly, now understanding why she was waiting for him, she wanted to get him alone to talk to him about Insight. "I get it." He states, after discovering his own suspicions earlier as well. "I have suspicions of my own." He adds quietly, "I need to call Hill." He tells her.

Mary nods, smiling a bit as Nick is seeing her and Steve's side of the argument. Then Nick talks to the car. "Activating communications encryption protocol." The car states.

"Open secure line 0405." Fury states.

"Confirmed."

Soon Maria Hill comes up on the corner of the window-shield, "This is Hill." She answers.

"I need you here in DC. Deep Shadow conditions." Fury states, glancing at Mary, she knew what Deep Shadows meant. There was a mole for the enemy.

"Nick-" Mary is cut off by Fury finishing up his conversation.

"Give me four hours." Hill says

"You have three." Fury states and hangs up, he stops the car at a red light, glancing over at the car next to them, seeing police officers eyeing them, but mostly Fury.

This sets Mary on edge, "Nick- what's going on.." she murmurs quietly, knowing anyone could be listening.

He shakes his head, still watching the officers, "Wanna see my license?" He quips, then the two watch as the officers flip on their sirens and lights as they drive off.

"Nick, what the hell-" Mary is cut off as another police cruiser slams into her side of the car, her and Fury tumble in their seats as the car, hitting their heads on the dashboard, Mary groans out in pain as Nick winces at his arm.

"Fractures detected." The car says, "Recommend anesthetic injections."

Mary's eyes narrow, "No kidding." She snaps, her arm is broken, not a clean break though. Mary looks around, seeing that Nick's car is surrounded by police now, she quickly grabs the injections from the glove compartment, taking the cap off both of them, injecting both her and Nick to aleve the pain.

"DC Metro Police dispatch show no units in this area." The computer inputs, causing both people in the car to look around them as a SWAT vehicle pulls up

"N..Nick.." She stammers, panic setting in, as the mercenaries start to shoot up the car.

"Get us out of here!" Fury shouts at the car, the bulletproof glass is holding but not for long as Mary looks around.

"Nick, what's happening." Mary asks quickly.

"Propulsion system offline." Computer replies.

"Then reboot dammit!" Fury shouts, looking at Mary, "Hydra." He states.

Mary's entire body freezes, her whole life after Steve went into the ice shatters instantly, she thought they were gone, a dead organization was alive again somehow. Her body runs cold as she stares in horror at her friend as he yells at the computer as the mercenaries pull out a battering ram.

"Nick!" Mary shouts, tears falling from her eyes.

"Warning! Window integrity compromised." The car informs them.

"You think? How long to propulsion?" Fury asks.

As the car replies, the mercenaries start using the battering ram against the drivers window, rocking the car violently. Mary is trying to hold still but the pain in her arm is getting to be too much and she cries out in pain.

"Window integrity 31%. Deploying countermeasures."

"Hold that order!"

"Window Integrity nineteen percent. Offensive measures advised." The computer relays.

"Wait!" Fury shouts as the battering ram is smashed against the window again.

"Window Integrity one percent."

"Now!" Fury shouts and suddenly a minigun pulls up from inside the car and Fury uses it to return fire on the mercenaries causing the SWAT truck and some of the police cars to explode. Mary is terrified at what's happened, Hydra is back and now attempting to kill Nick and possibly her. She doesn't know what to think, her mind is in pieces.

"Propulsion systems now online."

"Full acceleration, now!" Fury yells as he continues to fire at the mercenaries Fury's car automatically backs up and drives off, "Initiate vertical takeoff!"

"Flight systems damaged."

"Then activate guidance cameras!" Fury shouts, but doesn't give the computer as he takes off, police cars quickly chasing the two, "Get me Agent Hill."

"Communications array damaged."

"Well, what's not damaged?" Mary yells in frustration at the car

"Air conditioning is fully operational." At that, both Mary and Fury roll there eyes as the police cars continue to chase after them as Fury weaves through the cars on the road, "Traffic ahead."

"Give me an alternate route."

"Traffic alert on Roosevelt Bridge. All vehicles stopped. 17th Avenue clear in three blocks, directly ahead." The computer says as Fury drives into the traffic, he smashes into some cars causing a pile up which stops the police cars, the mercenaries get out and start shooting at the car.

Fury manages to kill two of the mercenaries by running them down before getting past the traffic, but the remaining mercenaries continue to chase after him and manage to sandwich Fury's vehicle between them, "Warning, approaching intersection."

When they approach the intersection Fury manages to shake off the two police cars, killing off the mercenaries. "Get us off the grid!" He shouts.

"Calculating route to secure location." The car says as both Mary and Fury see a man with a metal arm and a gun aimed towards them, walking in the middle of the street. Mary notices that a girl is next to him, a gun also drawn in her hands. Their faces are covered by goggles and muzzles.

The man with the metal arm raises the gun in his arms, shooting a disc to the car, it attaches to the underside of Fury's car and explodes, causing the car to flip with both Fury and Mary inside.

The roof of the car crashes down onto the street, Mary bites her tongue to stop herself from screaming in pain, she watches Fury with her blurred vision as he pulls out a torch, turning it on and burning a hole into the car and ground as they hear footsteps come towards them. Fury pulls Mary down the hole he's created as a means to escape.

By the time the man and girl walk up to the car, both people that were once in the car, are gone.

Mary lays on the couch as Fury is on the chair, her body is screaming in pain. But she can only do so much with the equipment in the apartment. The two hear the door open.

"Stevie? Is that you?" Mary calls out, her voice is raspy, she's allowed to talk but Fury keeps quiet. He has the record playing.

"Lizzie?" Her brother replies, walking into the living room, turning on the light, Fury quickly turns it off. Steve's eyes widen as he takes in the sight of his sister and Fury.

He sets his shield down, looking at both of them, "Mary? Everything alright?" He asks cautiously.

Fury goes to type something on his phone, "Ears Everywhere." Steve reads, his eyes widening.

"He's going to be crashing with us for a few days. His wife kicked him out." Mary explains in code, Fury nods.

"Didn't know you were married, Nick." Steve replies.

Fury goes to shift in his chair, wincing, "There's a lot you don't know about me."

Steve shakes his head, looking at Mary, she looks to be in almost worse condition than Fury is, cuts all over, what he assumes is a splint for her left arm, her head was bleeding as well.

"I'm sorry to have to do this, but I had no place else to crash." Fury murmurs as he writes another text and shows it to Steve; "SHIELD compromised"

"Who else knows about your wife?" Fury shows him another text; "You, Mary and me."

"Just...my friends." Fury replies as he goes to stand up. Mary groans, following suit, she stands up slowly.

"Is that what we are?" Steve asks.

"That's up to you." Fury replies as all of a sudden he's is shot three times from through the wall and collapses, Mary screams in horror, "NICK!" She screams out, rushing towards him despite her own pain. Steve looks out the window for the shooter then he quickly drags Fury to the next room.

Before her brother leaves Fury hands Mary the flash drive. She looks down at it, then at Steve, her brother knows what it is. She's sure of it. "Don't trust anyone." Fury stammers out to the the siblings.

Then the two hear their front door being opened, seeing their neighbor Sharon come in with a gun raised.

"Captain Rogers? Doctor Bryne?" Both siblings turn to look at her, tears running down Mary's face.

"Captain, Doctor, I'm Agent 13 of SHIELD Special Service."

"Kate?" Steve mutters out, confused by what's happening with their neighbor as he stands up, Mary is still holding Nick's head in her lap.

"I'm assigned to protect you two." Sharon replies.

"On whose order?" She notices Fury lying on the floor with Mary.

"His." She mutters, going to talk onto her walkie, "Foxtrot is down, he's unresponsive. I need EMTs. Eagle is injured as well, badly."

"Do you have a twenty on the shooter." An agent on the other end asks, Steve notices the shooter though the window, his eyes narrowing as he grips onto his shield.

"Tell them I'm in pursuit." Steve grits out as he takes off down the hallway.

Becca follows her Papa quickly, he had just shot someone through a wall without a single ounce of guilt. The doctors had wiped him of his memories, the did Becca as well, but she somehow didn't lose her memories, so she acted as if she had to please the higher ups.

Becca and her Papa run through an office building, she is trying to keep up with her father but he's running at a much faster pace than him, she doesn't want to be caught. She was told that the people they were after were bad and she and her Papa were to put a stop to them.

Soon her and her Papa reach a roof, hearing breaking of glass, she looks over as a giant red, white and blue disc is thrown at her Papa, but he turns around and stares at the man who threw it.

The man across the roof is in shock, but then Becca sees his face, his face is that of her Uncle Stevie from the pictures in Uncle Howie's home.

"Uncle Stevie?" She whispers, drawing the attention of her father, he throws the disc back at the man with great force.

He doesn't want to leave the girl he's come to care so much about, but he was given direct orders to get in and get out. If he had to leave her, then that's what he had to do.

He paused briefly to look her over again, and then he fled the scene. Causing Becca's blue eyes to cloud over with tears, she never wanted to choose between her family. She would find her Papa again. She was sure of it. Becca looked up, walking slowly up to where her Uncle Stevie is.

He had caught his frisbee, when he looked up, he saw the girl, she couldn't have been older than fifteen. But she was with the man who had shot Fury, he was obligated to turn her in.

"You'll have to come with me." He states, taking the girls arm into his hand, his heart breaks as she flinches at his touch, she had been heavily abused, he could tell by just how she flinched away from him.

Becca nodded slowly, looking up at him, she pulling her muzzle off, she hated that thing. "I don't want to fight." She murmurs, "I just want to know one thing." She adds.

Steve guides her back to his and Mary's apartment as she begins to speak, then both of them hear screams. Steve looks over at the doorway and sees his sister collapsed onto the floor, staring directly at the girl who was with the mystery shooter.

Steve handed the girl off to an agent as rushed to his sister's side, "Mary? What is it? What's wrong?" He asks her, his sister is shaking profusely, he holds her tightly in his arms, but her eyes wont leave the girl, "Mary." Steve tries again.

"B..Becca." Mary stutters out, raising her none fractured arm, pointing at the girl, "Becca, my sweet baby." She tells Steve.

Her brother's eyes widen, looking at the girl again. He finally sees it, she was older, but the pictures in the apartment of Becca when she was younger were proof that the girl in front of them was Mary's lost daughter.

It also meant that Steve's niece was a convicted felon and wanted by Shield for being an accomplice to attempted murder and possible homicide if Fury didn't last through surgery.

Becca was in for a lot of trouble, but Mary and Steve weren't going to let anything happen to her.
