Chapter 3 (Jason PoV)
Jason was confused.
First of all, he was zapped by a crazy invention of Leo's, second of all, he, Percy and Frank was now standing outside a building wearing 1700s clothes. That was totally not something that happened everyday. Even he was startled, and he was a demigod!
After a while (read: pretty much forever), the three of them had worked out the invention had been a time machine and they were now in 1700s New York, though they had no idea what specific year. They had just worked out the last of the situation when they realized something: Leo and the girls weren't with them. Huh, where could they be? The three of them split up to look for the rest of the Seven but still didn't see them after a whole minute of searching. "Wow, that was a record for me," Percy commented. It was true; with his ADHD, it was surprising he had stayed focused that long. Suddenly, Frank broke the silence. "Hey! I think that's them!" He pointed to four figures. One boy, three girls. One pink dress, one blue dress, one yellow dress. Jason joked, "Oh hey, it's the Schuyler sisters! And... a random guy!""And Peggy..." Frank murmured. Percy smiled. So did Jason. He remembered watching Hamilton on Broadway with Nico, Reyna, Cabin 7 and the rest of the Seven. It was super catchy, especially Guns and Ships (Lafayette is awesome), though he still had no idea how Piper could rap it word for word with a flawless French accent while he sounded like he was slowly dying. Even if he practiced.
"Let's go see who they are," he said.
"No, you go ahead, Jason," Frank replied, leaning against the building. "I'm tired after all that looking around for them. Could you go?"
(Author's Note: Look around, look around! No? Okay, back to the story...)
"What!? Why me? Percy, could you?"
Percy said, "Jason, just do it."
"Fine," Jason huffed, and he headed off towards the small group. Along the way, he saw a lot of box stage things with people standing on them. Most were reading something to the small crowd gathered around the base of the stage. One person yelled, "-Seabury, and I present-" But Jason didn't hear the rest, he had already passed the guy and was getting closer to the four people. He was about a foot away when the girl in the pink dress (Angelica, Jason thought jokingly) noticed him. "Jason?" she said. She quickly walked towards him. It was Piper, wearing a dress with lace trim on the collar. That's a first, Jason thought. Piper almost never wears dresses. Well, then again, we are in a different era altogether.
"Piper!"
"Nice to see you, Mr. Hamilton," she smirked. Jason then realized his coat did kind of look like Hamilton's coat from My Shot.
"Well, it's a surprise seeing you here, Miss Angelica Schuyler," he retorted. Piper glared at him. "Jason!" She poked his arm playfully. "Anyway, now that you're here, let's go meet up with the others.""Wait, Piper, I need to tell the rest of the guys I found you, Annabeth, Hazel and Leo. Just wait here."
(Author's Note: Just you wAaaAaaAaiIit- oh, sorry, I'll stop butting into the story now)
"Ok," Piper replied. Jason walked back to the building where Frank and Percy were waiting for him. "So?" Percy asked. "Who was it?""It was Piper," Jason responded. "Apparently, she's with the rest of the gang somewhere over there." Jason waved his hand in Piper's general direction. "I'll bring them over here." He walked back to Piper. "So?" she said. "Get everyone else and follow me." Jason said. "Sure," she said, and walked over to the rest of her group (still the Schuylers + random guy to Jason) and they had a short conversation. Finally, they walked back to Jason and followed him to everyone else. They had just gone two feet when a green blur shot past Jason and engulfed Annabeth. "Whoa, whoa, Percy relax! I'm fine!" she laughed as she pushed an overly concerned Percy off her. "But are you sure you're okay? Like you're not hurt or anything? You're fine, PERFECTLY fine?" Percy demanded. Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Yes, Seaweed Brain, I'm fine." "Sorry about that, Annabeth." Frank apologized as he walked up behind Jason. "It's okay, Frank." Hazel piped up from behind all the chaos. (Percabeth fussing over each other, Jason smiling, Piper squealing about how cute they are, Leo telling them to stop with the fluff) "It's okay Hazel." Leo assured her. "It's not your fault Percy is such a yandere."
"Hey!" Percy protested.
Leo shrugged. "It's true."
Anyway guys," Piper interrupted. "Let's just stop now!"
They all quieted down and just stood there. Suddenly a guy beside them pushed through the crowd, obviously searching for someone. He looked about 19 but he wasn't that tall to be honest. Jason estimated his height at around 5'7, Piper's height. He looked familiar, but how? Where had he seen him before? He turned to the rest. "Guys, is it just me, or-" The guy had found his target. From where he was standing, Jason could overhear their conversation.
"Pardon me, are you Aaron Burr, sir?"
