for the longest time, amy's heart belonged to one specific blue boy. chasing him to the end of the world and only dreaming to be with him. sonic always rejected her, amy never gave up.

it started off as a simple ended rivalry. amy didn't even notice it. sonic and shadow started getting closer and closer for some reason and no one seemed to mind their sudden friendship. even amy, she was too oblivious to the world to notice there was something more going on.

one day there was a party, the night it all came crumbling down. at tails's house for it was his birthday. the pink girl was walking around the house looking for her sonikku but she couldn't spot him anywhere. amy walked into the kitchen and spotted rouge talking with knuckles. she walked up to her bat friend. rouge suggested looking outside in the back yard a place amy didn't even consider.

amy slid open the screen door, the sounds of crickets and cars in the distance ringing in her ears. under the light full moon, two dark figures stood really close to where there was no space between them and amy could only guess they were kissing. with the darkness, amy couldn't distinguish who they were but when they pulled away the moonlight glistened in their faces making them more visible amy felt her heart break. it was sonic and shadow. they just kissed.

maybe it wasn't consensual, maybe it was an accident. but sonic smiled and kissed shadow again. this was asked for.

"sonic!" amy cried, she felt tears start to form in her eyes, all she could do was wipe them away.

"oh, amy." sonic chuckled as he pulled away. "shadow just asked me out! Isn't that exciting?!"

"oh... I'm happy for you..." amy lied a notably sad tone in her voice.

"it doesn't sound like you are." shadow commented folding his arms.

"amy, are you okay?" sonic asked now walking towards her.

amy put her head down clenching her hands into fists as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"amy, what's wrong?" sonic asked, the pink hedgehog kept her eyes on the ground sobbing quietly.

sonic put a hand on her shoulder but amy was quick to pull away now facing him, her eyes full of tears and her heart broken. "i'm fine!" she yelled before running away, away from sonic and his new boyfriend, away from her friends that were all calling out for her, away from the mess.

she ran out into the street making a car halt to a stop as it almost ran her over, she didn't stop for that either. the voice of sonic calling her name faded away as she continued to run, not really sure where she was going, not really sure why she was running. she ran into the forest listening to the sound of her boots crunching leaves as she emotionally ran. shadow stole sonic's heart away, something she had been trying to do for years. everything hurt. he stole sonic away from her.

the tears in her eyes was making the world blurry, she tripped on a rock making her gasp. she hit her head against a tree knocking her out as she fell on her face scraping her knee and elbows in the process. nothing mattered in the world anymore. everything went black.
