the next morning amy stood nervously outside sonic's house. she thought about once, twice even regretted it and almost ran back home. but she had to do this.

she sighed, fixed her dress up a bit and knocked the door. she listened to the "i'll get it!" and the sonic's fast footsteps as he opened the door, the sight of amy surprising him.

"amy?"

"sonic! listen, im sorry." she said looking down ashamed.

"sorry, for what?" sonic asked "i was seriously worried about you! You wouldn't answer my calls or open the door when i knocked it seemed like you were never home! the only reason i didn't call the cops to check up on you was because everyone was saying you were okay and i had rouge check up on you."

"thats what i'm here to apologize for." amy said, her gaze never leaving the floor.

"huh?"

"I've been avoiding you two," amy confessed with guilt in her voice "the reason why it always seemed like i was always gone was because i always hid when i saw you on my doorstep."

"oh," sonic said "you've been avoiding me because im gay?"

"no, You're the wrong idea sonic!" amy yelled "i've been avioding you because i was jealous, i was jealous you were all shadow's. i couldn't stand seeing you two together it broke my heart. but, someone told me i should man up and accept it. if i really love you i should be happy for you and support you all the way. besides, i can tell shadow makes you happy."

sonic smiled at that last part "yeah..."

amy giggled "im sorry for how i handled things. im happy for you two, i'll try to be a better person."

"apology accepted." sonic said and spread his arms out for a hug "come 'ere"

the pink hedgehog got in between his arms and let sonic hug her shadow later came out of the kitchen and joined the hug hearing everything. amy stayed for breakfast and they all talked like normal friends as they ate toast and drank coffee. the only difference being sonic and shadow sat next to eachother.

when amy left to her house she saw a bouquet of flowers sitting on her doorstep. she smiled and took them inside to her kitchen. she found a vase and set both items on the kitchen table when she took off the wrapping paper to set them inside, a piece of paper fell onto the wooden furniture. she picked it up reading it's contents.

'for a beautiful rose, i gift you these flowers.

meet me in the woods, i have to tell you something --silver'

amy didn't even think twice, she put the flowers in the vase and headed for the door wondering what silver had to say.
