Melody 19
At the past_
"Tenn-nii~ I'm bored..."
Tenn sighed. "We were just come back from strolling around the town. Aren't you tired?" he asked, eyes not leaving the small words on the book that he found in the shrine.
"Well, yeah, somehow..." Riku said as he look at Tenn's face.
Tenn looks like he was so engrossed with the book and it's perked up Riku's curiosity. Silently creeped closer to Tenn, he took a peek at the content of the book.
"What are you reading about, Tenn-nii?" he asked, trying to read the words.
"Hm?" Tenn hummed he still too focus on the book. Riku pouted. Tenn ignoring him now but he shrugged it off and read along.
Suddenly a sound of bushes ruffling loudly could be heard by the two. They quickly turn to look at the source. Tenn stood up from sitting position when he saw a rapid movements near the wood.
Curious, Tenn run towards the location. Riku who was looking around snapped his head towards his brother when he sensed that Tenn wasn't with him anymore. Scrambling to stand up, he quickly run to catch up with Tenn.
"Tenn-nii! Wait!" he called out when he sees Tenn getting faster on his heels.
After a few seconds, Tenn finally stop but it's not because of Riku's desperate shout but he stopped because he found a beautiful and wide meadow in the forest. As long as he remember, there is no meadow as wide as this around Tokyo.
And also, he lost track of the thing he chased earlier.
"T-Tenn-nii...! F... finally...!"
Tenn turn a perfect 180 degrees when he heard his name being mentioned.
"Riku! What are you doing here!? Wait, you ran!?" Tenn quickly approach Riku who is now panting hard, trying his best to catch up his steady breath.
"You shouldn't run like that! What if you got an attack?" Tenn scolded while his hands rubbing circle on Riku's back, trying to at least ease his struggle.
Riku huffed at Tenn's words. "I'm chasing you! You're the one who won't slow down even after I told you to slow down!" Riku pouted. Tenn was stunt by the sudden outburst.
Not hearing any reply from Tenn, Riku look at his brother. "What were you chasing just now, Tenn-nii?"
"Nothing... Maybe I was just mislook something... That's all." Tenn replied, hesitated by his own answer.
Riku tilted his head. He wanted to ask something but his eyes suddenly caught the vast meadow at Tenn's back. Impressed, the thought of questioning his brother quickly fly out of his mind.
"Waaah...! So beautiful...!" Riku laughed and walk further to the meadow.
It is truly beautiful clearing. Flowers of different colors were spreading everywhere and the vast blue sky, not too cloudy but still shaded by the cloud from the piercing sunlight, as the background.
Tenn couldn't agreed more as he followed his little brother. Eyes darting around the meadow, occasionally close his eyes, enjoying the gentle breeze.
"Tenn-nii! Look!" Tenn snap open his eyes and turn to Riku, who is by now, pointing at something...
Tenn followed his pointed finger and saw a person standing there with a hood on. Tenn quickly grab Riku and pull him at his back as he stood protectively infront of the redhead. The hooded figure didn't even move as he only watched the twins movements silently.
"You're the one I was chasing at earlier, right?" Tenn called out, eyes narrowing dangerously. "What are your motive to stalk us?"
Seeing no reply from the hooded figure, Tenn gritted his teeth. His patience is wearing thin.
"Why don't you-!"
"Kujou Tenn and Nanase Riku." the hooded figure cutted him off. "You weren't supposed to be here..."
Tenn and Riku widened their eyes after hearing the statement from a stranger.
Tenn pulled Riku closer to him and furrowed his eyebrows. One thing that Tenn obviously know is that man knows who they are and where they should be at. In other words, suspicious and dangerous.
"I've got it," Tenn whispered, eyes not leaving the hooded figure. "Riku, get away."
"What?"
"Get away from here. Search for some help at the shrine. More specifically, from Mizu. I'll keep an eye over that person."
"But you-"
"There's an outside chance that person might not doing any action soon." Tenn said. "Better have a plan than nothing."
"I just can't leave you."
"Don't worry about me." Tenn firmed his tone. "Go!"
Riku hesitantly took a step back and then another step until he turned away and broke into a run, heading towards the forest where the shrine should be at, leaving Tenn with the mysterious person in hand.
Thanks to the breeze, the hood were blown away, revealing a soft looking expression yet emotionless and unreadable. His eyes clashing with light pink eyes as they both stared at each other.
"Natsume Minami. You're the one we have been looking for with the other three, your friends, aren't they." Tenn said.
Minami snorted at the word 'friends'.
"What else did you know, Smart Boy other than that?" Minami said, his voice was soft as his expression but complete contrasted with how he behave. "Even a common people would know about that."
Tenn scowled and rolled his eyes.
"And here I thought that the whole situation would end up as we both engaging in battle or something cliche." Tenn retorded back.
"Even though fighting would be cool?"
"Yes."
"Sorry. It would ruin my face." The cream-haired boy said with full sarcasm. Knowing fully that Tenn wouldn't even want to fight for the sake of being an idol.
Meanwhile, Tenn didn't look pissed at all. He just simply... having this annoyed look on his face. He hoped that Riku would make it to the end. He just need to distract Minami and prevent him from flew away.
Even though he would be annoyed really greatly but hey, he wasn't known as a sharp tongue devil from those who knows his true nature. He just need to fight back with his infamous devil's little speech.
