Types of Paradoxes

Paradox: a statement or situation that may be true but seems impossible or difficult to understand because it contains two opposite facts or characteristics

>This also implies to time travel as well

1. Correction Paradox

What is it?: It's when a change in the past alters the flow of time and the paradox corrects itself by making a string of events that make sense. It can happen by either going to past or destroy something that is prominent to all of time.

Examples: Captain Renko saves Demichev so that he can takeover the world(Singularity), Biff going back in time to give his past self a Sports Almanac to become the richest man in the world(Back to the future 2), and The Scooby Gang destroying a powerful god that undo all of his efforts from the past to present day(Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated)

2. The Living Paradox

What is it?: A Living Paradox is when a person or being that has no past or future. Any instance the timeline has been altered they remain unaffected no matter what happens. Essentially making them exempt from the rules of time.

Examples: Reverse Flash(DC Comics), Goku Black(Dragon Ball), and Silver the Hedgehog(Archie Comics)

3. Collapsing Paradox

https://youtu.be/OSZP8K29niY

What is it?: A collapsing paradox happens is when an Absolute Point gets destroyed and or disrupted resulting the destruction of a timeline or the universe. Basically if there's a tragic reason why some people become who they are like Dr. Strange becoming Sorcerer Supreme because he lost Christine and he destroyed the universe by saving her.

Examples: Dr. Strange Supreme saving Christine(What if) or the reds and blues saving Agent Washington from getting shot in the neck(Red vs. Blue)

4. Everwhen Paradox

What is it?: The Everwhen Paradox is a section of time that contain time travelers and prevents them reliving their lives. This is the other result of a Collapsing Paradox, this works like a clogged pipeline between the event of the paradox and the birth of one time traveller or the start of a journey of a group of time travelers. Paradoxes can happen and cause different universes within the Everwhen Paradox but does not destroy the source universe.

Example: Season 17 of RVB

5. Territorial Paradox

What is it?: It is when a group of people occupy the same land but instead of using conventional land that group of people use a span of time

Example: SCP-3838 (SCP Foundation)

There are more temporal paradoxes but these are the 6 I like to list out
